Scruggs are the best in town, My youngest one had underbody issues and came with messed up teeth, now you'll see my daughter all smoking with confidence. It boost up her self esteem and Dr. Scruggs makes sure to do something no charge, just because he's that awesome. Me and family love this place and we intend to stay till were here, which is forever unless God says we have to move. God bless Scruggs and staffs. After moving to the area in 1998, I went through several dentists. The first one was a crook, then the second was also a crook. I use the word "crook", because their claims that I needed multiple procedures were proven unsubstantiated. It is sad to realize how vulnerable a person can truly be in the hands of an opportunistic and unethical professional. Then, I ran into one who seemed nice, but was not very thorough and was too busy to do a good job. Then in 2005, being consistently dissatisfied, I was off shopping again for dental care. It was through a referral I was lucky to find Dr. Scruggs. I can't imagine finding a better dentist! He is always up to date with the cutting edge methods in dentistry, talks straight and honest about treatment options and is so kind, gentle and precise. His attention to detail makes me very happy. He is also one of those folks that just makes you feel good when he enters the room. And you don't get stuck waiting for him. He really values your time. As a cash customer, I find his rates affordable. His hygienist is also exceptional, thorough, attentive, and a pleasure to visit. As picky as I am about everything, I just don't know what I'd would do without Dr. Scruggs as my dentist! If you need a dentist, no doubt, you should visit him.

Scruggs family dentistry takes fantastic care of my dental needs. The prices are very fair and reasonable even though I don’t have dental insurance. I have needed to get tooth extractions here for a while and when doctor Scruggs told me he was willing to do it for me I felt so much more comfortable about the procedure. Very poor customer service. Dentist and clinical staff seemed competent but were not reachable after hours in an emergency and pain medication prescription was mishandled badly. Lots of apologies the next day but was too little too late for proper care of patient. Procedure was decently priced though so office is a good option for cash patrons.

With that being said, I am still seeing Dr. Scruggs for all my dental needs. I also have my husband going to him, as well as his parents and grandmother. This may be my first time to do a review of any type online. I actually was looking up his phone number and saw 4.3 stars out of 5 and kinda' chuckled. This man is clearly a 5 on a scale 1-5 so I thought I would cast my vote. Honesty and integrity are two character traits I use when describing Dr. Scruggs as a person and a dentist. I showed up for an appointment that was scheduled for a root canal. As he prepped the tooth, he decide I actually didn't need the root canal. I explained this story to another dentist (just out of dental school) and he said you have yourself a great, ethical dentist right there. He was correct because I would have never known and though the visit was still expensive, he stood to make more money on the root canal. He did right by the patient. I can't believe I am writing something good about any dentist. LOL. I don't like that office one bit. However, the story I just shared is enough to support my 5 star rating of Dr. Scruggs. Everyone in his office is wonderful as well.
