Thanks for the super quick crown replacement - one visit - under an hour. Used to take a minimum of 2 visits and a couple hours in the chair. It was not a pleasant or quick process. First visit - clean and prep; take impression, fit with temp crown. Go home, come back in 2 weeks - Pry off temp; more cleaning and prep; fit new crown; mod/tweak new crown. Cement and finally done. Don't forget the numbing shots (ouch!!!) on both visits. Dr. Braud cleaned, prepped and scanned my tooth (15 min process), fabricated a new (permanent) crown (20-min process), and had it on (permanently) within 1 hours. The new scan and fabrication process (all in the office) is much more accurate too - VERY LITTLE tweaking required. This is so awesome. Thanks Doc. Also love to talk Tiger football with the good doctor. GEAUX Tigers!!!

They always make me feel "at home" when I am there. Dr. Appleton takes plenty of time to explain any procedures that he will be perfoming and his staff works really hard to make sure I am always comfortable. Prior to any procedure, I have always been given a written estimate of all of the charges so I will know what to expect. The estimates have always been accurate, except for today when I got a pleasent suprise that my bill was actually lower than the estimate. I recently switched to Oak Harbor family dentistry from another dentist and had a wonderful experience. The stuff were extremely helpful with getting me set up as a new patient (even when I provided the wrong insurance information). As for my cleaning it was great, Amy is a great hygienist and makes you feel relaxed during the cleaning and is very gentle so she does not cause any undo stress or pain for her patient. After my cleaning was completed they informed me that I had a small pit on the side of one of my teeth, instead of making me schedule another appointment it was taken care of right then. The entire new patient process, x-rays, cleaning, and filling took about an hour which is great for anyone who is in a hurry. I'll be a repeat patient for the foreseeable future.

Reluctantly, I finally made an appointment and totally dreaded going. Imagine my relief and surprise when it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. When they heard me say that the sound of the drill bothered me, I was offered headphones to help with the noise and she even took the time to find a show on TV I would enjoy. She's able to keep you mind off of what was happening with her vibrant personality. The hardest part was trying not to laugh. I went in for a regular cleaning and found out I needed a root canal. They were able to do it the same day. They were even able to to make a permanent crown in house. No need to come back and take another day off work. Dr. Appleton took time to explain the procedure in depth and why he felt it was necessary. He even sat down and answer the questions I had. That was the first time a dentist has ever done for me. It means a great deal to me to be able to make one trip and get everything done at once and explain the logic behind the procedure. Oak Harbor Denistry is the best dental office I had ever been to. The doctors and staff are extremely professional, skilled and caring. This is the best dental practice I have been to in years. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The doctor and technicians ensured that I understood every issue they observed and also offered solution for the problems which they could provide or were more than willing to explain routes to take outside of their place of practice in order to fit the needs of what type of treatment I preferred. I did not feel like they were only about money or trying to shuffle people in and out. The two teams who preformed my procedures/treatments utilized a combined effort of teamwork which was absolutely amazing. I found Oak Harbor Family Dentistry from a Facebook review just like the one I am writing. I was so happy that they were accepting new patients and that I was able to make an appointment immediately. From the receptionist, to the dental hygienists, to the dentists themselves I felt like they actually cared about their patients and make it a priority to make you feel as comfortable as possible. My first visit with Oak Harbor Family Dentistry was a great experience! When I established care over the phone, the staff really listened and answered my questions in a warm and friendly way. I had such a good feeling right from the start. Unfortunately, I had to come in for a root canal and was in extreme pain. Dr. Appleton and his assistant listened to my concerns and tried to ease any anxiety that I was having. After my procedure, Dr. Appleton sat and discussed what I should expect over the next few days.
