I had two wisdom teeth that were giving me problems and because of my fear of dentist procrastinated until the pain became more frequent, so I scheduled an emergency appointment with tooth pain. I went in this morning and Dr. Cummings looked at my wisdom teeth and indicated that they were coming out today and the process of extracting the teeth took less than five minutes! There was no pain to my surprise and I LOVED the way that the hygienist and Dr. Cummings explained in detail what the process was going to be which made it very pleasant because I had extreme anxiety. The ladies at the desk all were very pleasant and accommodating. I chose LDC because I have a friend that had just as a pleasant experience at the LDC location in Harvey, LA in which I accompanied him on one of his visits and the staff was extremely pleasant. I would recommend LDC in Metairie and I'm glad I went there for my two extractions. I will be returning.

My experience at Louisiana Dental Center in Lakeside Mall in Metairie, Louisiana was Excellent. The receptionist was the first to greet me with so much joy I felt very welcomed. The two ladies that made me feel unafraid were Ms. Pierre and Ms. Helen they did an amazing job I would certainly recommend any to see these great ladies. The best part was seeing the dentist Dr. Cummings he took his time and explain everything. I came to Dr Cummings for a root canal and crown. Which turned out to be a quite a bill. Which is totally fine, if the procedure was executed properly. Had my root canal done in November of 2019 and now in June of 2019 and several visits after procedure I still have problems with my tooth on top of the fact there is a painful blister protruding under the crown. I have been told that the only way to fix it is of course a more expensive procedure. Mind you, the first bill was hard enough to come by. So now I get to live with this painful blister and sensitive tooth when I should’ve just had it removed. Waste of money. I guess I should’ve known not to go to a dentist in the mall.

Everyone who works here is great! Jean Lang does a great job at cleaning my teeth and is a joy to go to. My only complaint is that they say they take same day appointments but what they really mean is that you can sit there all day hoping for a cancellation. I had a cracked tooth and they didn’t see me for two days. When you have an appointment though everyone is very nice, professional, and does a great job!

This is not the first time we have been to this facility. I find it clean, welcoming, and friendly from the front staff. Most of the staff is very nice. I however have much to complain about as far as their timing goes. These last few appointments we have not been seen until 30-45 min. after our appointment time! You are always told to arrive 10-15 min. ahead of time, so combine that with our 45 min. wait, we have finally been seen an hour after our appointment. Today was the worst. My 3 year old son was scheduled for an 8:00 am appointment with the pediatric dentist Dr. Garrett. We were told to arrive at 7:50 and that is what we did. We did not get in to the office (because it was locked and no one was there) until 8:35. We did not get back to be seen until 8:45. The assistant Courtney was super nice, friendly, patient, helpful, and informative ( no complaints about her! She is great!). The pediatric dentist however was 1. Late (did not arrive there tip 8:30/8:40.) 2. terrible bedside manner. I was chided for spilling some of the medicine to make my son "loopy" and was told that they give children medicine all the time, if I had let her do it I wouldn't have spilled so he will just have to deal with the amount he got. I only spilled a little after he was thrashing and wouldn't hold still. She didn't even offer to give the medicine to him. I was just trying to help. 3. She then told him he would not be getting a prize because he wasn't behaving. ( He has never had to be put under before! He just turned 3! It's early and he is hungry and thirsty...you are not a familiar face....Give him a break! 4. After all was over and I was informed how it went, she came out with my son and said that all the work got done, but that "obviously he hasn't started preschool because he doesn't listen to anyone but you, you need to work on that". Basically shoved my child into my arms and as she was walking away did remind me that they would be calling later to check on him. My husband last week didn't get to go back to his appointment until 45 min. after his appointment time either. I want to write a good review, but I have to be honest.

My problem was that my hygienist's Monique resign and I wasn't inform to reschedule with another hygienist of my choice. The new hygienist overall she was sweetheart but, little bit rough on my teeth cleaning.

Get more professional and "client-friendly" people in here, then perhaps I will change my review. I guess this is what happens when you fill a place up a with a majority of young people below their late 20s. I came here for 4 different occasions to get a crown and to handle multiple cavities and was not fond of the "stuck up" vibe that I had received from the dentists who were under my care (Dr.Martin and his assistant). Each procedure on my mouth involved me hearing about their personal work life and "work gossip" while they were on their job, and my pain was not taken into consideration and even made them impatient with me. I was getting a tooth cut out, and holes drilled through my teeth for a filling. What do you expect? I had intentions to come here to get my mouth fixed in the most efficient way possible,-not to hear the latest gossip or for my pain to be burden to them. There were also scenarios where I had to be plead to be numbed because I had get teeth pulled and cut out of mouth. This even sounded like a hassle to them when I asked because I was even told that they did not want to be there all day on me (especially for the times when I was their last client). If the money is coming out of MY pockets then do not belittle me or get frustrated whenever I feel discomfort for agonizing procedures such as having tools and holes drilled through my teeth. Dr. Martin's assistant also needs to change her attitude, you can even how miserable and mean the woman is through her face. If you hate working with your clients so much, then I suggest that you just leave.

I always have an absolutely wonderful experience during my visits, which says a lot in and of itself since some people (myself included) are afraid of a visit to the dentist in the first place. Dr. Cummings is extremely relatable, patient and concerned with his patients' well-being. He takes care to make sure that I'm comfortable and not in any pain and to answer any questions that I have. Jackie is an absolute sweetheart and is an expert at reassuring me whenever I have questions or concerns. The office manager, Jamie, came to my rescue when my insurance decided that they didn't want to pay my claim. Jamie had a rebuttal for every excuse offered by my insurance company and fought with them on my behalf until everything was resolved. The entire staff is friendly and supportive and they've done a great job restoring my confidence when I thought nothing could be done for my smile. I appreciate my experience and thanks to them I actually look forward to visiting the dentist (never thought I'd EVER say that).

I had a bad abscess in my mouth in December of 2017. Many local dentist did not accept medicaid for adults. I was in pain and University Hospital had a long wait time. My needs were considered urgent, and La dental staff acted very fast once I explained my condition. My main concern was the cost, they immediately put me at ease with a fast appointment and a very very affordable rate. The receptionist Ashley was /is always very productive and accommodating to ensure that patients keep their scheduled appointments and making concessions for you if you need any modifications. So many of them are very pleasant .

The front support staff was very pleasant and professional. Dr. Bonnie Ust, must have been having a bad day, she had no patience, was unpleasant and unprofessional, so I gagged when she was trying to give me a numbing shot, she said I'm not your doctor and just like that my appt for my extraction was over. She didn't even insert the usual piece that real dentist use to hold the mouth open. The staff offered to have another doctor see me, by then I was aggravated and stressed. I took off work for that appt. If Dr Bonnie Ust, didn't want to see another dentist patients she should have informed the office support. If she only wants to see a certain types of patients she should inform the receptionist. Never again. My time is too important for me to accept the kind of treatment from ANYBOBY. God bless the people who have to work with her, cause I know it ain't easy.

I called this office at 3:30 this afternoon asking if they would take an emergency walk in. The receptionist was very rude and careless. I told her I had a friend with extreme tooth pain and it has been hurting him for a days now, her response to me was “sorry, we are about to close.” But they didn’t close until 5. I recommended them initially because I go to LDC in New Orleans, but I would not recommend them for service at this Metairie location, based off of their careless service.

I really enjoy going to this LA Dental Center Location. I had a dental phobia for years and their staff really puts you at ease. The front desk ladies are on the ball and Alexis is a super awesome hygienist. Besides doing great work, she is extremely personable, which I feel is really important in an environment like this. Worst experience for customer service ever ever. I made appointment with them for Friday last week and when I got there, they said I didn’t have appointment on that day. The person on the front desk check somthing on the computer and said to me that I have appointment for the next week. Today when I come back there for my appointment, again they say I don’t have any. They said because I don’t have appt so I have to wait for it or I have to reschedule for next time. I always go there for my cleaning but today I decide not to come back there again. They think that they are really busy so they don’t care about the customer service and customer feeling. I had to take off 2 Fridays morning just only wait for this appointment.

I went here for the first time for a routine cleaning and X-rays. I walked in, saw a full waiting room and was expecting to be there a while, but I was in and out within one hour. The 1st time I went I saw Dr. Ust she was fantastic. I was given and estimate which was fine when I want to check out they took my money but I didn't even receive a receipt. (Usually any procedure you have, usually you get a receipt.) I was told to come back in a month for a follow up. I called the office to see who I needed to speak to in billing the lady told me that the person I needed to speak to was at lunch. 3 hours later I called back and spoke to Marcie and she told me that anybody can do billing. At this point I was a little annoyed with the other girl. The next day Marcie called me back to let me know how much it would be with my insurance. (Marcie went above and beyond someone who actually cares) It was covered 100%. When I went in last week I didn't even get to see the doctor. The hygenist told me that it was just for the for the second half of my cleaning that I wasn't going to see the doctor. When I went to check out the hygenist put the invoice in front of the lady and she told me to have a seat until the lady gets off the phone. When the lady got off the phone I thought she was gonna call my name to get me checked out but no I sat there for a good 10 minutes watched her play on her phone. When I went up there to ask her if she can check me out she gave me attitude because she said she didn't have the paper when it was clearly in front of her on the rack. She was going to charge me for this follow up, I told her I was told that it is covered a 100% she obviously didn't like what I had to say and her attitude was even worse when I asked her her name I told her to have a nice day. The expression is kill them with kindness so I did. If it wasn't for doctor Ust and Marcie, I would never go back.

They will say whatever you want to hear to get you in the door. Never mind that they wasted two hours of my life I’ll never get back. I have a dental emergency. They said, “come on in as a walk in and we’ll get you seen.” I asked them how long the wait was because I have a two year old. The lady in the phone said, “it’ll only be a short wait while we verify your insurance.” I said ok and drove to the office. I waited. And waited. And waited. My toddler screamed as she was done waiting. I asked the front desk and they said not too much longer. Then after 30 more minutes another girl came and said it’ll be a few more minutes. I asked how long really...she said a while. Don’t say it’s only a few minutes when you’re obviously busy!!!! I can take my emergency elsewhere. Don’t waste people’s valuable time. My time is important too!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. They’ll tell what you want to hear and not deliver. Now I have to start all over.

I am a very nervous when it comes time to go to the dentist but I knew I had to go since I had a bad toothache. This was my first time with La. Dental Center in Lakeside Mall and from the time I stepped into the office everyone was so nice. My appointment was with Dr. Ust at 2pm. I was taken back right at my appointment time which was nice, and Dr. Ust's assistant Sydney was so sweet, I explained that I don't like dentists and she assured me it would be fine. I have severe medical issues and it has destroyed my teeth so it was determined that I needed 8 teeth pulled, which is all my backteeth. When it was time to the procedure Sydney held my hand and was telling me how good I was doing and other words of encouragement. We decided to do this in 2 appointments and the procedure was over before I knew it. I will highly recommend this office and this Dr. and assistant, if not for Sydney offering to hold my hand and show so much compassion I would have been a basket case but I was not and stayed pretty calm. If there is an award for an assistant I think Sydney deserves it and Dr. Ust deserves one for her compassion to.

Highly recommend! FAST: I was in and out within 45 mins (full exam/xrays/cleaning). They called me right at my appointment time so I didn't even have a long waiting period. Professional/friendly: Patrice was my hygienist and she was so nice and professional. She made sure to explain what her next steps were, opened the tools in front of me, and checked on me. Clean: The office is clean and modern. They have tvs in front of your chairs so that you watch tv during your cleaning.

I went in for a cleaning and check up last week and Patrice was my hygienist. I had not had my teeth cleaned in a few years and was very embarrassed. She was so kind and compassionate and took her time with me and made me feel like everything would be ok. I have had bad experiences in the past and she calmed my fears with her cheery personality and sweet smile she actually took her time to listen to me and made me relaxed. I will be returning to see her for my extended cleaning that I need. Everyone should be as kind as her in the medical field.

I was called to in the back for a visual consult by an assistant. Her name is Kelle and she was super helpful. My experience with the first visit was good. I am returning for a procedure. Let me begin here, about 4 weeks ago I made an appointment at this location to get my teeth looked at because my wisdom teeth were giving me problems and my throat and gums were swollen. They did x rays and the doctor and his assistant scheduled me on that day for an appointment on April 12th to get them surgically removed by what they call a "Doctor" Dr. Wu. Because the doctor scheduled that day stated that he was not comfortable pulling them because of how they were positioned (understandable). Today April 10th at 11am they called me to say that they had to cancel my appointment because Dr. Wu had an emergency which is completely understandable. So naturally I got highly pissed because I made this appointment 4 weeks ago because that was apparently the only time the doctor would be in this month. When I complained to the lady that answered the phone she had the manager call me who then stated that the doctor had to cancel my appointment because his manager accidently double booked him. My point here is that none of this was professional at all. I feel like I was lied to with the fact I was told 2 different excuses. I get things happen out of our control but as a dentist office you should find another doctor to do the job instead of canceling an appointment, when your patient has been waiting patiently to get this procedure done and has been in pain for 4 weeks. Let me add this, I decided to go somewhere else and had a better DOCTOR/DENTIST look at my teeth and he recommend that I get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled because they are worse then they should be. You would think that as a "dentist office" they would have seen the exact problems this other dentist saw but yet they never mentioned the things he did and how urgent it was to get all of them pulled. Louisiana Dental said that I didn't need to get the top pulled for a while because they were fine. When I spoke with the manager at Louisiana Dental I explained the scenario of how long I've been waiting for this and how much pain I was in and the excuse I got was that she couldn't help me but that I should just take some ibuprofen and do warm salt water and I would be alright for another week until they can get me in. I feel that this place is completely unprofessional. I would not ever recommended a business that runs this way to a friend , family, or even just a by standard.
