I had a 2 hour surgery today with Dr. Moncada 3 wisdom teeth pulled and gum surgery! He comes highly recommended, they asked me what kind of music I liied & plugged me into the IV for conscious sedation while he did what he does best. This was by far the BEST experience I've EVER HAD WITH "ANY" OTHER DENTIST!!! I really am a basket case when at the dentist but THANKS to DR. Moncada & his assistants they really made my experience less stressful & PAIN free!!! Dr. Moncada is a specialist- periodontist! Stage 1

I changed dentists to this dental clinic, because they were closer to where I lived and they also used Nitrous Oxide. I needed a root canal and I went there for a emergency appt. When I arrived I was told after being seated in the exam room, that they would not be able to use the gas because the doctor was pregnant. I ask for another dentist and apparently, there are only 3 dentists there that can perform a root canal and two of them are pregnant and the third I would not be able to see for a couple of weeks. BOY was I wrong in switching dentists. I am going back to my old dentist. Talk about false hopes.

I went in today to have some work done by Dr. Bird whom Ive only met for the 2nd time. His assistant Britney was very nice just as the same as last time. This visit Dr. Bird seems to be in a bad mood ( which is totally fine) just not around patients. Myself being in the dental field for 9 years feels that patient comfort should be #1. For example when completing a filling chair side it is so common for water to splash on you, it is one of the reasons why we wear Protective wear. So while working, water splashed; and the doctor thought it splashed on his forehead so he starts freakin out asking Britney does he have water on his face, Britney calmly said no, its your hair Doc. So I brushed it off and let them continue. A few minutes later water ended up splashing on his face and he immediately jumps up and washes his face, while I have mouth prop still sitting in my mouth, waiting for him to get "disinfected". All while his assistant Britney repeatly said I'm sorry Doc. (I guess she's used to seeing him act such way) I am not implying that Dr. Bird shouldn't have washed his face. He should've calmly stopped and said give me a minute, without being hysterically like he did. It just made me feel as if I was disgusting to him. Ive had my finger bitten during procedures, my gloves torn, spit and splattered on, but I would never make a patient feel as if they are nasty. I don't know what his problem was today, maybe he skipped lunch, maybe he didn't get much sleep last night or maybe he should've picked a different profession if he didn't know what he would be up against. I suggest he wear a full shield face mask if that'll help him feel more comfortable. Apparently his comfort means more than the patients. On another note Britney and the other staff was amazing as always. I just don't have time for a Dr. who has mood swings, cause I'm not the one to give it to. Jah bless! -T Graham Thank you.

Horrible experience today.....I been going to this location for 3 years now and everytime I go the service has decreased. Today I went in for a cleaning. She took my x-ray, forgot to take my vitals, spent 20 minutes during a cleaning. Now she was an older woman and I understand but I didnt feel like she was cleaning anything. She kept sticking my gums and making me bleed. Then the dentist come in for all but 1 minutes. She saw that I hadn't came back for 3 fillings. Had me open my mouth and looked in and said no new cavities and everything looked good. I was shocked....it was like a waste of my time. I left today unsatisfied. I wont be going back.

The admit clerk was professional and friendly. The check out clerk barely looked at you and didnt even say thank you, hence the 4 /5 stars.Lynn the hygienists was awesome. She has over 40 years experience.She was very informative. Took her time to show (hands on) proper cleaning techniques, not just tell you. Thorough explanation of risks of other health problems related to gum disease. Involved you in decision making. Her cleaning was the most thorough i've ever had. I'll always request her for my cleaning. She didnt blame you because your gums and teeth weren't at their healthiest.

Worst part of this dental office is the front desk. Been here 4 times already for routine teeth cleaning. At every visit the ladies working the front desk all looked miserable and unhappy. But once you get past them and move on to the back, things will lightened up. Hygienist, dental asst, and dentist are all super friendly and much more lively.

My husband and I went in for our 6 month cleaning. I spoke with the dentist and hygienist about a cracked tooth. We had our grandson with us so I made an appointment for 11:00 the next day. When I arrived the next day the front desk had no appointment scheduled, even though it was made right in front of me, and I had my text confirmation so they said ok! The dentist numbed my mouth on the left side where the cracked tooth is and looked on the screen and said you need a filling in the right also, and I said ok. She then numbed the right side and she filled the tooth. When she was just about finished the dental assistant said "the tooth is moving" and the dentist informed me that the tooth had to be pulled, the tooth she just filled? Yeah! She numbed it some more and pulled the tooth, yeah! The one she had just filled. I paid and left, with the cracked tooth on the left still cracked and hurting.

My wife just went there because her jaw was locked shut. The woman "doctor" got an attitude and told my wife she doesn't work for free and we would need 40 dollars for her to just check on my wife's health or she needs to leave. We then called another dentist's office and they informed us this is an emergency room situation and advised us go to the hospital. Cleary Louisiana Dental Care doesn't care at all about common citizens. I'm sure if you have good insurance or a lot money they will treat you ok. But if not they treat you like garbage and only care about the health of people with full wallets. It's a pathetic establishment with even more pathetic employees. If you are reading this then please choose a different dental office. One that actually cares about the welfare of people.

I had a great experience. I called and spoke to Courtney because I had a toothache. She told me to come in and they would see me as soon as they could. When I arrived there everyone was very nice to me. I only had to wait about 15 minutes. I was not rushed at all. They did everything they had to do for me. My dentist said i had to get a root canal or suffer a toothache for Christmas He doesn't do root canals. I called a clinic (very expensive place i quit going to because i couldn't afford the prices) .Was told i could come in next year for a "treatment consultation" $ $$$I My wife called Louisiana Dental Center. They said the endodontist was there. Come on in! Walk in! Tooth fixed! They saved the tooth and they saved Christmas for me! Reasonable prices! Fast emergency services! And they speak Spanish! Horrible place to recieve work done. I came in for a rootcanal to get a single tooth done. The lady literally missed the inside of my mouth and the numbness shot landed under my lip (from outside). Shortly after that i left, how on earth could such a person do a rootcanal and not know how to give a numbness shot????

I had my first visit on November 19 and a follow up on the 20th to get a filling. My sister and son recommended LAD because the dentist I was going to had closed. I must say, my visit was awesome. The staff was very friendly and made me fill at home. I know most people don't like the dentist, but I'm actually looking forward to my next visit.

I have been to many dentists over the years but have never truly been completely satisfied. That is until I came here! From the moment you walk in the door, you feel so welcomed. I am horrible at the dentist as im terrified to the point that my body trembles. They made sure I was very comfortable and reassured me over and over. I was actually calmer than I usually am. I saw Dr. Byrd my first time and he was so thorough explaining everything to me making sure I understood and was aware of all options possible for my treatment plan. The assistants were also very nice and helpful in keeping me in my comfort zone, scheduling my future appts and going over it all with me in detail. I have went back twice for treatment and the hygenist was just as great going above and beyond for me. The prices with their dental plan are unbelievably affordable and unlike any other office's plan (ive had a few from reputable offices in the area and louisiana dental plan makes all the others look like a joke) ive seen! From the front desk staff to the dentists, this place is amazing and I highly recommend them!

I had waited too long - that was my fault. Im giving them one star because they got me in on short notice. What they didn't tell me until I was in the chair was that they could only do limited services as it was a same day appointment. The front desk and all the other staff I interacted with ( except one tech) were disinterested at best, rude being the norm. I had 2 private insurances and they didn't get that correct. When I asked to use the bathroom after the end of an awful procedure, they said sure - then walked me to the payment desk. Never would go here again.

This was our first visit. They try to charge for unnecessary work. They also make you feel like they know best and why would you question them. They tried to do 2 different filings on my child without asking, we had a treatment plan they were not following. No one should start work on a child/teenager without Always thoroughly explaining to the parent that is 'paying.' Luckily, I asked her to explain everything to me before they started and realized what they were gonna do, which isn't what was planned. I changed dentists. They also real quick to do root canals, got a second opinion that said it wasn't needed.

There are some serious miscommunication issues at this location. I called multiple times with the receptionist to ensure they will do a consultation and wisdom teeth extraction at a specific date on a Friday. She did not even bother to check with the dental staff and told me they will have everything done for me on Friday. Then, she proceeded to rush me off the phone. I arrive there, and multiple things went wrong. First, I waited for 45 minutes and was told by the dental assistant that their x-ray machine was not working. Second, their dental surgeon is only there on Mondays, not Fridays! I wasted a whole trip and took time off of work to be here!!! Lastly, they told me I would not be charged for this appointment because no dental work was done. I should have known better not to believe them by phone OR at face value. I received a bill from them even though I had absolutely NO type of dental work or service done on my teeth. This place is untrustworthy and really needs some serious management training. I caution you, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!

My mother had her teeth pulled and dentures put in at this criminal organization. They told her she could drive herself after the procedure. Unfortunately, I live in Mississippi and had to work and was unable to bring her like I wanted to. After she was done and doped up, she was bleeding everywhere. She pleaded with the receptionist for a towel and in that snide southeast louisiana attitude told her to go to the bathroom. She bled the entire way home and almost passed out several times. When I saw her, I wanted to punch a hole in this dentist's face. Her jaw is swollen even 5 days later. She has two large bruises on either side of her lower jaw line. She easily could have passed out on the way home and killed herself or someone else because they do not care. They got their money so to hell with you and anyone on the road. Not sure how this dentist sleeps at night. I promise you the Louisiana Dentist Center uses a company to provide fake reviews to drown out the one stars. We had a company like this offer us their services where I work. We refused.

The Dental Hygienist was really nice but Dr. Bird and the receptionists were extremely rude. When I walked in, I was not greeted at all. I was just asked for my name, ID and insurance card after waiting a couple of minutes for the next receptionist available to end a phone call. Once I was in the back for a while, Dr. Bird came in to examine my teeth, he didn’t introduce himself but instead listed the dental care that I needed to the hygienist. When I asked what all was needed he said the hygienist could let me know and left. He was in the exam room definitely less than 2 minutes. He seemed to lack patience and was very closed off. Note: I only know his name now because the hygienist mentioned it after. I had other questions while still there, instead of coming back into the exam room to answer, he answered them through the hygienist, which was a back and forth situation. He did not explain anything that I needed to get done to me personally, the hygienist did. The prices here are extremely high especially for the poor rapport with this office that is experienced in return. I refuse to pay so much to be treated so poorly. I will not be returning to this office; I would like to patronize a dental office that exhibits compassion, makes you feel comfortable and offers great communication about care instead of making the patient feel like a dollar sign and being rushed out of the office like I felt here. This was the worst dentist visit I have ever had and parking here is also terrible, would give zero stars if possible.

Switched dental centers from Jefferson to the Westbank and it's been the best decision ever. Dr. Digney is awesome and my hygienist, Jeanne, is so sweet. She's thorough, always on time, and very knowledgeable. I go every 6 months for my cleaning and she takes her time and is patient. Only thing worth the drive to the Westbank lol. Highly reccomend her and the establishment.

I had 2 cavities filled yesterday and 2 filled today. I'm in the military and because there is a current shortage of Dentists on base, I was referred to the Louisiana Dental Center in Harvey. This place was very clean and the staff was so friendly. Dr. Rome was my Dentist yesterday and today and she was amazing! Very friendly and very professional. I felt no pain at all when getting my cavities filled, and they even have a TV that you can watch while you get your cavities fixed (its connected to the ceiling or wall and it moves around so you can see it from any angle. Dr. Rome, her female assistant from yesterday, and her male assiistant from today were all so nice and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. They explained everything to me as well. Even the staff at the front desk was nice! Overall, great place and great staff! I recommend this place to anyone who needs dental work done (even a cleaning)!

Dr Dyer is the BEST, HANDS DOWN. I have had two root canals with her. She was brutally honest about the health of my teeth and the precautions I need to take to keep a full mouth of teeth (I REALLY APPRECIATED THIS). She literally did my root canals in no time and I experienced very little pain after. I only took my pain pills once! Desiree IS THE BEST DENTAL ASSISTANT! I came in with horrible pain and could barely even talk. There were no appointments for weeks to come and I was like PULL IT! Desiree went over and beyond to get my an appointment in two days and some meds to hold me over until then. She also took another look at my account and realized my root canals were no where close to the outrageous quotes I was originally given. That was also a huge help. There are things that could be changed as far as every time I go no one knows that I’ve already made a payment or why I’m there. It’s seems to be a lack of communication. I always ask for a copy of my bill and all my previous payments because you can really lose a lot of money if you are not proactive. Other than that, the people are nice and the place is also very nice. JUST REMEMBER DR DYER AND DESIREE AND YOU JUST CANT GO WRONG! Dr. Sylves is a really nice Dr too!

First ! I must say that this business is very nice and clean. The front desk could be a bit more friendlier, but my Hygienist Ms. Cindy made up for that ... She is so sweet and does a great job !! Not only did she educate me on how to keep up my teeth, she also gave me great recommendations for choice of filling. She took a lot of X-Rays, and made sure to tell me about why she was taking them and what she found that was concerning, which was backed up by my dentist. I made sure that I caught her name because she made me feel right at home. She was caring and rather gentle during my cleaning. I didn't get a chance to really speak with my Dentist, Dr. Casey Bates, but she seem pleasant. So, If i can.. I will always request Ms. Cindy to be my Hygienist from here on out.

Some ways they are excellent with walk in appointments possible, very modern equipment etc., but I also felt a little bit like I was being "processed like a spreadsheet" rather than being treated like a patient and served like a respected 'human' customer. (Sort of like a used car lot trying to maximize profit). To be fair to the people who work there, it seems like it is a business model and not necessarily their personality. - I was also told by a relative that he goes every 3 months there rather than every 6 months because he is overall very happy with them. However, there was one visit that they told him he had three cavities and when he came to get them filled, the lead dentist luckily reviewed his ex rays before the proceedure because he didn't have any cavities at all. Apparently there was someone new that read the ex-rays wrong and was about to start drilling holes to fill. Moral of the story, don't be afraid to ask prices and get 2nd opinions.

I would not recommend the Harvey office to anyone. They are good about taking you as a walk-in or in an emergency and they do accept Medicaid, but be careful if you use their services, especially if you need an extraction. I went to have two front teeth pulled and they pulled the wrong tooth! So I had to go back and have the correct one extracted. My boyfriend went to have two back pulled and they left pieces of tooth in his gums which are still bothering him. He went back but there's still tooth bits painfully trying to work their way out through his gums. Their office staff are rude and incompetent. Their scheduling is horrible.They sent me an appointment reminder card for my grandsons visit and the date was written over so I couldn't make out the date but it didn't match the date I had put on my calendar. I called to confirm and was told the correct date and time, which did match my calendar. Then when we show up for the appointment I was told my appointment was for a totally different day on the following month! I'm filing a complaint with the dental board and my insurance company and I'm definitely finding another dental office for my family.

I brought my father in for some denture. We have been to several dental offices where we had really bad experiences. My fathers enjoyed his experience with his doctor because he works side by side with his lab tech named tam. Dr Digney introduced himself and explained the procedure with tam which helped us understand the whole process better. Tam and dr Digney brought my fathers smile back! The denture fit great and he didn't have to come back for any adjustments. I highly recommend these two if you ever need any dental work done!

I wish I could give this place a Zero stars. I scheduled an appointment months in advance, the receptionist called me as I was pulling in the parking lot to say don't bother coming in, they did not provide the services I needed (pediatric tooth cleaning and a cavity filling?). In the Notes section, when I made the appointment, I specifically spelled out the dental services I would need. I made the appointment 2-3 months in advance and they failed to read the note until 13 minutes before the appointment? They indicated another location provided the services I needed. I was not provided with a phone number, nor was it even offered to schedule an appointment at the other LA Dental Center location. When I asked the receptionist if she could schedule my child she said NO. Stay away from this place! The lady on the phone said try next door, but I wouldn't trust any recommendations from this place.

Amazing facility; today was my first visit and all the staff were very pleasant and the aesthetics of this place is quite pleasing as well as clean. My dental hygienist was Amber and she was a pro and had intricate precision in her craft. Dr. Taro was very nice as well.
