Louisiana Dental Center constantly exceeds my expectations every time I have a visit. I have been coming here for years for routine cleanings and if there were more stars for me to click to give a rating I would certainly give them. Dr.Luminae extracted one of my wisdom teeth and I honestly didn’t even know he pulled it out thats how good he was! I was wide awake with only a local anesthetic and honestly he stuck the tool in my mouth and pulled it right out and I didn’t feel a thing. My hygienist Rachel was exceptional, I used to always have anxiety about getting my teeth cleaned because they are so sensitive but now I have nothing to worry about because Rachel does such a great job I literally sat there and watched tv while she was cleaning my teeth which is a big deal for me to be able to do. And lastly I’d like to mention Dr.Trauth he was very knowledgeable and was so polite and he was teaching me things about my teeth it was nice to feel like he actually saw me as a person and wasn’t just rushing through me to get to the next patient. From the check in staff to the Dentist every person at this practice makes me feel comfortable and welcomed and that’s why I will always recommend them!!

I went in Saturday morning with a very BADD toothache. After checking in, the receptionist told me that my insurance company was close and she couldn't get a approval therefore we had to pay cash for the visit. It didn't matter, I just wanted the tooth out. After being seen by Dr. Willis, I was told that I need a root canal. Financially we was not prepare for that. So I decided to just take the prescription for the antib. and go home. While checking out Brittany S. waited on me. She notice how much I was in pain and went right to work on getting the insurance straight for me to have the root canal done that day. THIS IS WHAT REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE LOOKS LIKE. SHOWING THE CUSTOMER YOU CARE. Dr. Willis and his assistant was extremely kind and made sure that I was comfortable before and after I left. If you are in pain and cry when they touch the INCREDIBLY pained tooth they will ask you what your problem is. I have never dealt with a ruder staff and frankly I hope one doesn’t exist.

My wife Jennifer wheat came in on 7-7-17 and had horrible too tooth ache and been crying for 3 days taking ibu 1500mg a day and 1000mg of Tylenol extra strength and no relief. And she is getting amoxicillin which is antibiot and said take Tylenol. They could have gave her a few pain meds. Now I gotta see my wife crying in pain and crying for next few days or until the pain goes away. Dr Henderson or something like that didn't care at all my wife was in tears. All he said was here is some antibiotics. Hope you feel better.. And I know he could gave my wife said few pain meds. It'd not. Like she takes them like a drug head. Look up her pharmacy records. Unless needed she want take them. But they don't care only about making a plan to make money cause your insurance don't cover half of it. Don't come here for emergency. This has been one of the best dental offices that I have been to in a long time. They have the best prices on crowns and different procedures. They saved me nearly $200 on one crown because their prices were that much lower then my previous dentist. My regular doctor is Dr. Willis and he is wonderful. He does what is necessary and is very professional. However one Saturday I had to come in for an emergency procedure and Dr. Dyer was my dentist. I had to have a root canal because of an abscess tooth. Because I was only three weeks away from my wedding she told me to contact her everyday for a week to make sure that the infection goes away correctly. She said that if I needed to come in again she would make room in her busy schedule. I have never had a dentist that cared that much!! Louisiana Dental Center is simply the best! They go out of their way, super friendly and have the best prices. Going to the dentist can be a pain but they are super great!

My son came to Louisiana Dental Center for orthodontic care in mid 2017. In November 2018, during a routine check up, the orthodontist, Dr. Merrell Irby, discovered cavities and suggested for the braces to be removed and end the treatment. Without agreeing to remove the braces and end the treatments, my son left. On April 11, 2019, my son went back for routine cleaning. The general dentist was seemingly instructed to make a recommendation to have my son’s braces remove and end the dental correction. At that juncture, I was not comfortable with an in-house dentist making the recommendation. I asked for and opportunity to seek a third opinion from an outside dentist. Dr. Irby agreed to my request. On April 16, 2019, my son was examined by a dentist at W Dentist on Jefferson Hwy and determined that it’s not necessary to completely remove the braces to fix the cavities. He suggested to finish the few remaining months of dental correction and then fix the cavities after, since there is no sign of advanced decay of the teeth. On April 24, 2019, we went back to Louisiana Dental Center as scheduled. Dr. Irby was not very fond of the suggestions from the third opinion and chose to completely dismiss it. She came to the dental chair and dogmatically told me that “the braces are coming off today”. I told her not until she fully discussed the matter with the third dentist. I agreed to the removal only if they all come to a final conclusion to do so. She then threw a hand-wash gesture that she is finished and I must seek another orthodontist to finish the orthodontic work. Louisiana Dental Center has received payment for the braces in full. My son still has braces in his mouth. Louisiana Dental Center still owes us the remaining orthodontic care. I just hope there is no long term negative affect on my son’s teeth for having the braces unnecessarily remaining on his teeth. We are currently seeking available recourses to complete the unfinished orthodontic work left by Dr. Merrell Irby.

With all of the questions he asks and the need to ‘help’ her with his cleanings, her patience is remarkable. He LOVES going to the dentist and that is all because of Stephanie! I had my first visit today, I was greeted by a warm staff and clean/pleasant environment. The hygienist Shannon was very kind and encouraging when it came to my dental health, my health plan, and helpful explaining insurance and costs. She was very kind and an excellent person to calm my nerves during a much dreaded dentist visit! The front desk clerk Amber was very kind and helpful, she went out of her way to help me, even when I was there after 4pm!(their closing time). The dentist had a very wonderful bedside manner and was conversational which calmed my fears immensely. I would recommend to my friends this so far wonderful facility and staff!

If you want to be treated like a number instead of a patient, this place is your best choice. They admonished me for being late for an appointment but I had the card which showed the correct time that I came. Then I waited another 45 minutes to be seen by a nurse who said the doctor wouldn’t work on me without a release from my allergist, which could have been a simple phone message. She (the doctor) wasn’t even considerate enough to come out and tell me in person. I had a very bad experience with this office. Hope I can find a location that is more patient-centered as I am a member of their dental plan.

She (the doctor) wasn’t even considerate enough to come out and tell me in person. I had a very bad experience with this office. Went to this place two years ago and loved it because it was so nice and everyone was so friendly. Made another appointment a few weeks ago to do my normal check up and teeth cleaning. After almost two hours (all they did was X-rays at this point) she comes and scrapes my gums and tells me I need a “deep cleaning.” Tells me id have to wait a few days for my insurance to approve and if they did the “normal cleaning” they would basically be telling my insurance company I had a “healthy mouth.” She also stated that if they approved the procedure I would have to come back every three months. I casually asked, what happened to just X-rays and cleaning my teeth? They really didn’t have an answer. Mind you, everywhere I’ve ever gone, gives me what I go there for. Not only did I NOT get my teeth cleaned, i sat there for two hours being confused... I never even heard back from them (bc my insurance denied it because they felt I didn’t need the deep cleaning-shocker.) anyway. This company seems to be after one thing, and thats ways to get more money out of their patients. Don’t go here. Ps. Never even had a cavity in my life.

This is an old post, but I still agree with it it. Be careful how you select your dentists and make sure that you ask questions before letting them extract teeth and put you in pain. One of the dentists that I saw today would not write an excuse stating that I am unable to work for the next 2 days, after I have been in excruciating pain for over a week and am still in pain. Have an infection and been out of pain pills for a couple of days. Very Upset!!!!! Office staff is nice but don't answer the phone most of the time or ask you to hold forever. Just wanted to update and say that today I was called a liar by a young dental assistant that was angry at me because she didn't do a good job. It won't happen again!!!! I will find someone else. Who needs this kind of crap when you are paying for it????

This morning was my second time there and I’m really disappointed in the service I received. Apparently, I was supposed to see someone else for a cleaning who wasn’t there today. Both the dentist and the lady who cleaned my teeth acted as if they didn’t want to see me. I had many concerns and they were basically brushed off. Most people already don’t enjoy going to the dentist. You’d think, no matter what, that the people would be dedicated to making the process a little less stressful. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this dentist. I guess only certain people get this five star treatment that the other reviews mention.

When calling the if you get put on hold, it’s typically a 8 minute wait to actually talk to someone. There fees are adjusted to what your insurance is. It’s not set fees across the board. You’d be happier in a private practice where patient care is more important, rather then a “get them in get them out” practice.

I payed !50.00 for my dental records from my previous dentist and hand delivered them to this office. They have lost them and have no recollection of my ever dropping them off. I always have to leave a msg and the call never gets returned. Payed over 1500 out of pocket for a root canal and a crown. I was really against the root canal. Took 2 weeks for the permanent crown to come in, the temporary fell off several times while waiting. The procedure was painful and I was refused pain medication. After the permanent crown was in place it was very uncomfortable and my gums stayed inflamed. Fast forward a year and a half I had to pay another couple hundred out of pocket...after contacting the I was reminded I signed off on my treatment plan which states all prices are "estimates ". Basically, it was explained that insurance constantly changes and the billing department never knows for sure how much patients will be charged till after the work is completed. My permanent crown first he root canal has recently fallen out; this is one of the major problems I have had after going to this office and seeing several dentists at this office. I will update this post later after I find another dentist.

This all was on my second visit which was a 360 compared to my first. I called couple of days after the visit and told them I am no longer returning to them and left it like that. In the last 10 years I have had two dentists really hurt me and turn me away from any dentists. After transferring my children to Louisiana Dental Center and Dr. Owens, I finally went myself. I was very anxious and nervous to say the least. Dr. Owens, Ashley, and the entire staff went out of their way to assure me I was in great hands. Well, I had to have two teeth pulled. Dr. Owens and myself decided to do it under IV sedation and it was the best decision ever. I had them both pulled yesterday with no problems at all! Easiest visit ever! Then I got a call later on from Dr. Owens just checking on me. No one ever did that for me before. I'll be settling in with them for the rest of my dental journey. And that's just my experience, both of my kids love him and would do anything he asks. Thank you all so much for taking care of the 3 of us!

The billing department kept changing the amount I owed. Everytime I would pay they would call back saying they miscalculated again. They seemed to do a great job at first, but they kept having to readjust my filling. They told me I had cavities on both sides of my mouth. They did one side and after all the issues I consulted another dentist to do the other side. It turns out I didn't have any cavities on the second side they said I needed fillings on. It's been several years and still no cavities on the side they swore I needed work on. Also, they offer new patients a discount if you leave them a positive review on Google so that helps their score.

UPDATE: 3/11/15- so here it is 6 months later and the tooth still hurts. I called 2 times after the procedure and the dentist said, it's nothing, it'll go away. That was roughly 4 months ago, so I'm scheduling an appointment with my normal dentist to see if we can get this straightened out. I WILL NEVER advise anyone to go here. The reason these people have 5 stars is because they offer you a $50 discount if you leave them a good review on Google. The catch is that you have to do it before you get any work done. I went to LDC 9/17/2014. I am here out of town working, and had a toothache so I went to google to find the best reviewed place. I was kind of skeptical about a dentist office having that many stars, but I decided to go anyway. The staff there are really helpful, really attentive, and really caring. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. I have to go back next week for a root CANAL.

I payed !50.00 for my dental records from my previous dentist and hand delivered them to this office. They have lost them and have no recollection of my ever dropping them off. I always have to leave a msg and the call never gets returned. Payed over 1500 out of pocket for a root canal and a crown. I was really against the root canal. Took 2 weeks for the permanent crown to come in, the temporary fell off several times while waiting. The procedure was painful and I was refused pain medication. After the permanent crown was in place it was very uncomfortable and my gums stayed inflamed. Fast forward a year and a half I had to pay another couple hundred out of pocket...after contacting the I was reminded I signed off on my treatment plan which states all prices are "estimates ". Basically, it was explained that insurance constantly changes and the billing department never knows for sure how much patients will be charged till after the work is completed. My permanent crown first he root canal has recently fallen out; this is one of the major problems I have had after going to this office and seeing several dentists at this office. I will update this post later after I find another dentist.

So I had x-rays done in June of 2018. Fast forward to July 2018 i'm back at the dentist with the same problem. They gave me a work up plan of what needed to be done I was fine with that. When I go to make my appointment i'm told I need to make a payment for the procedure BEFORE I MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. So I decide to go to another dentist, now I can't seem to get my records. I called to have the release form emailed to me after being told they would email the form, two weeks later still nothing. Mind you all this time I am going to bed every night in pain having to use oral gel and taking Ibuprofen. So now we are in the month of August and I call again I did get a response but it was not what I wanted or needed. So I call back the same day and I was told I will send the necessary forms. Well guess what no surprise I did not receive anything. So I called again the next day explained the situation and again I was told i will email them. Well two hours later nothing so I called to talk to a manager. I was then told they sent them out yesterday well no you didn't because I have anything from you in my mail or spam. After ten minutes of going back and forth I finally get not one but three copies of the form. It only took two months and 60 days and nights of constant pain. MY OPINION LOUISIANA DENTAL IS MORE ABOUT THE MONEY THAN THE CUSTOMER.

The staff was friendly, and the office was cozy. The young lady that cleaned my teeth made me feel comfortable, she was very detailing while cleaning my teeth. Afterwards, the dentist looked at my teeth and gums, he asked questions and told me what he recommended,, and another young lady went over my dental treatment answered all the questions, and scheduled future appointments. So I had x-rays done in June of 2018. Fast forward to July 2018 i'm back at the dentist with the same problem. They gave me a work up plan of what needed to be done I was fine with that. When I go to make my appointment i'm told I need to make a payment for the procedure BEFORE I MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. So I decide to go to another dentist, now I can't seem to get my records. I called to have the release form emailed to me after being told they would email the form, two weeks later still nothing. Mind you all this time I am going to bed every night in pain having to use oral gel and taking Ibuprofen. So now we are in the month of August and I call again I did get a response but it was not what I wanted or needed. So I call back the same day and I was told I will send the necessary forms. Well guess what no surprise I did not receive anything. So I called again the next day explained the situation and again I was told i will email them. Well two hours later nothing so I called to talk to a manager. I was then told they sent them out yesterday well no you didn't because I have anything from you in my mail or spam. After ten minutes of going back and forth I finally get not one but three copies of the form. It only took two months and 60 days and nights of constant pain. MY OPINION LOUISIANA DENTAL IS MORE ABOUT THE MONEY THAN THE CUSTOMER.

Everyone I talked to was more than willing to answer any question or help me out in any way. The dental hygienist (Aimee Gloeckner) did the most thorough job cleaning my teeth and gave advice I could actually listen to. The dentist I met with (Dr. Luminais) was very accommodating as well and I look forward to more visits to their dentistry.

Doctor Edwin Trauth and his assistant Brandi were amazing! I've always had a phobia of dentists and dentist offices but no longer. Doctor Trauth was extremely professional, thorough in explaining everything he was doing and Brandi was very reassuring and friendly. Wow! I had a severe toothache. I called and they got me within 3 hours. The staff is super friendly and professional. They have me several quotes with different scenarios.
