I had to have my wisdom teeth removed emergency oral surgery and if anyone knows me I have severe anxiety I'll wait and suffer before going well I found Dr. Ambrose and his AMAZING staff and they made me sooooo comfortable and I did not feel a thing not even the pressure from the nerve not the pulling nothing and not to mention the most gentle dentist I have ever met and didnt even feel the stitches being removed and not to mention he gave me gas to relax me and the gas never ever worked on me before but it did this time and held it for me so i could relax and took his time so I was calm and lastly he was super quick It took a whole 5 maybe 6 minutes and done HIGHLY RECOMMENDED will be back most definitely.

Dr.martin is a money grabbing fraud my insurance only pay for routine dental cleaning, but i need peridonal cleaning why not let the insurance pay for the routine cleaning and i pay the difference, but he make you pay for the whole thing which makes me not get my regular cleanings there are some other stories i could about his prices but i rather not. I thought it was just me that thought he was a fraud, but after reading some of the reviews i see i'm not

Had a fine experience but not really any work done. Had a temporary crown pop off while I was there for the weekend. They saw me within an hour of it happening (7pm on a Saturday) He cemented it back on an I was on my in about 30 min.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. He was hands down the most unkind, unprofessional dentist I have ever encountered. I was in severe pain and all he wanted to talk about was his 7000 dollar dental plan he created for me. Charged me as much money as possible for my procedure, knowing I was broke, and I left his office an absolute mess. They then had to ask me to leave a good review because the bad reviews people were leaving had been taking away business. Honestly if a doctor asks you to leave a damn Google review then there is a serious problem. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I visited for a tooth extraction, which turn into a cleaning, extraction and a filling all at one time. The pain after the extraction continued for days, I returned to him, he said it was a dry socket,. The next day the pain continued, I returned to the office, xray showed the tooth next to the tooth that was extracted was chip, the nerve was exposed. He did a root canal without telling me, I learned this from assistant. I have never in my life experience a dentist like this man before!!!!!!, I'm still experiencing pain and i will not return to him!!!!

horrible experience- was already frightened of dentists and went to finally get checked out- said I had 9 cavities!! did 4 fillings on one side and told me to schedule another visit for the other 5!! It was abrupt, painful, and insensitive work. I didn't schedule a second appointment and was even more terrified of the dentist since! 3 years later I finally went to Louisiana Dental Center because I knew I was being irresponsible and I apparently had 5 untended cavities for the last 3 years... In FACT I only had 1 small cavity that didn't need a filling just regular flossing, and the only thing really wrong was a janky filling I had gotten from Gentilly Family Dental which fell out as soon as they started poking around my mouth! Makes me wonder about the other 3 they gave me, potentially unnecessary. These scammers will drill out your teeth for your insurance money-!!!--!!--!! beware!

Look, I understand that Mardi Gras is a celebration for the whole city and everyone wants to be off work and out enjoying themselves. However, a night knowingly filled with drunken debauchery is EXACTLY when incidents involving chipped/broken teeth would/will occur. Nights like this are when a 24/7 dental clinic (the only one anywhere near according to google) SHOULD be open. So when your friend who’s front tooth gets Cracked in half because of some drunk moron who chucked giant Mardi Gras beads at his face NEEDS an emergency clinic, y’all should have been available. It’s irresponsible to be a 24/7 emergency clinic who on a day that is notorious for accidents closes their doors. Come on!

I wish could honestly give this a zero star rating if possible I would. I applied for the front desk position but for some reason they had already had someone working full time at the front desk so I was asked to train in the back as a dental assistant knowing I had zero experience working as a dental, I was a bit concerned but Dr. Martin assured me he would give me the training I needed to learn what I needed to know I was excited at first until, I started realizing how impatient, and rude he could be when things weren't going accordingly but I should've noticed the red flags when the girl who was training me my first day told me she didn't like her job assisting him and that I would soon learn why, she did a no call no show my second day there. I started assisting doctor Martin and he would constantly get irritated with me if I would ask him a question in front of a patient, cause he expect me to know it all my eight days of working with him, I was told that a McDonald's employ can assistant him and know everything in 8 days working with him, I've watched him shove mouth props in the patients mouth knowingly they should've had a smaller one placed in their mouth, I've also watched him hold the oxygen and nitrogen over a patient nose to get them to calm down. Dr. Martin is very horrible person to work for I would not recommend anyone applies to work with for him or receive treatment for him he does not care about his staff or his patients.

I've brought my children to many dentist, and none were a great fit for them. This includes Children's Hospital and Oceans Dental. While my daughter attended Arthur Ashe, this dental staff won me over. I've moved to Violet, LA to Laplace, LA and now I realize in Gonzales and I've kept these people as my children's dentist and first choice. There was no better place for them, and I'm glad I chose them.

I wish I could give no stars. These people literally prey on the poor. They will purposely max out your Medicaid in return for unethical services. Dr. Martin rushes from patient to patient without any explanations of what he's doing. The assistants don't even have a clue on what to do. He has no compassion he just wants your money. My experience with my dental care at this place was so horrible I'm now paying another dentist to fix all of him mistakes. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS.

I should have walked out after witnessing Dr. Martin's interactions with his staff. He was so rude and condescending to them, I was embarrassed for them. The actual dental office is dirty and looks to be in bad need of updates and repairs. Dr. Martin has terrible bedside manner and never made me feel like I was in good hands. I had a tooth extracted and it was so painful. It is now 4 days later and the extraction site is swollen and infected. I returned to the office to be told by Dr. Martin that I rinsed too much, and when I said I did exactly as told, he told me I didn't rinse enough. So, basically, his shoddy work resulting in infection is my fault. Now he has referred me to a specialist to fix the mistakes he supposedly didn't make. I wish I had followed my first mind and left when my gut told me to leave, or that I had looked him up on google before going to see him. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY, AND PAIN! SEE SOMEONE ELSE!

I came into New Orleans from Indiana to celebrate my son’s birthday today. I had the most excruciating pain in my tooth during the drive that would’ve ruined our whole trip. We got to our hotel and my fiancé called the emergency line. They called us back immediately and were so accommodating. We went in within an hour and a half, and Dr. Martin and Anise (I think that was her name!) were absolutely outstanding. The problem was worse than we’d thought, but they gave me options to take care of it and made sure I was informed of what actions I could take, and I’m pain-free and ready to finish this vacation. Thank you for saving my son’s birthday trip!

So I was tight on money and they were willing to work with me so I made an appointment. I walked out crying due to the pain I was in. I have a high tolerance for pain and have NEVER left a dentist office in pain just discomfort. I took 2 hours past my appointment time for me to be seen. He is very rude and impatient with the employees there. He was rough with my mouth pulling and tugging never asking me if I felt ok. I was cringing and jumping he never stopped until I pulled my face away. Hey told me I needed deep cleaning root canals and cleaning. When I told him I didn’t have the funds for that right now he told me I need to find it. Fair to say tthhhhee WORST dentist in Louisiana. The one star is a compliment

Dr Martin is very caring and pays attention to the needs of his patients. He can be a little demanding while he has your mouth open but he takes his work seriously and wants good results the first time. I'm glad I have chosen him for my dentist. I love him and his staff. That's saying a lot since I have severe dental anxiety but they have helped me work past it.

Thank you Gentilly Family Dental for working with me when i needed to reschedule, and making sure i was as comfortable as can be at 30 week pregnant! The receptionist was great with getting me a same day appointment even with me living 30 minutes away! The assistants are friendly continually checking on me during my wait and in between holding conversations! Dr. Martin is awesome i definitely recommend going see him! And the lady who cleaned my teeth was very thorough and did an amazing job! Such a welcoming atmosphere

It is complicated to review a dentist, and this is my experience. Although the staff is very personable at first I thought Dr Martin as quite competent, I had to go see another dentist while traveling because of shooting pain under a filling that Dr Martin had done just a month prior. The dentist I went to is in the Boston area, and has been used by my parents for 20+ years, after he looked at the X-ray where the pain was, he said "this is some of the worst dental work Ive seen in quite some time. I highly advise you to seek out another dentist". The problem with the filling is that there was a clear overhang where it met the tooth, where it should be flush, which creates a food trap right at the gum line. Of the crown which I had installed by Dr Martin earlier that same year, the new dentist said "it looks like a a hat that is 5 times too big for the head". I also have a problem with their billing dept - they sent me a bill me after the fact for $600, when they said I was already paid up in full for the crown. I would not trust this dentist.

I love the people that work here they are nice ... They also take they time with your teeths they dont rush at all they make sure they get your teeths together for you so you can have a nice smile....
