I entered my orthodontia journey with Lawless Orthodontics the first week of January 2017. That same month I was assigned to photograph alternative pop band, DNCE, fronted by Joe Jonas along with the supporting band that later became my friends. I mention this because when meeting Jonas, my unapologetic celebrity crush through high school and half of college, he told me "I like your braces and ear muffs." Dude is a Star Wars fan, which I didn't know and the ear muffs look like Princess Leia hair buns that matched my Star Wars gloves. Anyway, the point to this anecdote: Lawless Orthodontics gave me the confidence I always desired because of the smile I always wanted. I work as music journalist, covering many events in Bowling Green downtown nightlife along with national festivals in the tri-state area. My misaligned smile continuously offered problems. When I saw Lawless for the counsel, he was thorough on the process. Through time this office is just not a body of people that I see in "Nth" amount of weeks. They have became family. If I ever had a spontaneous surprise with a bracket or my spring wire (which was only twice in the two years), I'd call and they fix me up in five minutes or less. They care about their patients and community. Bowling Green is fortunate to have an expertise doctor like Lawless and his amazing, attentive staff. I am within Adrienne and Alexus' team. They know me better than I know myself, in such short time. Always helpful with anything I may have needed and very intuitive--knowing what I need before I ask. Shauna and Caily are miraculous as well. Emoji hand praise to all four. My office times are always right on point. The crew is efficient, organized and hospitable. You know how you have an experience with a top class hotel, say The Brown or Galt House in Louisville and both are highly accommodating, it's exactly like that for patient and patient's parents alike. Atmosphere is welcoming, TL/DR?! lol: I had adult braces (ceramic top and metal bottom) and all my friends want braces now. So I recommend them to Lawless because you want a practice that not just feel like family, but IS family.

The orthodontist assistant nor Dr. Lawless never judged me on how my teeth looked and that was a plus because I’ve had bad experience twice about my teeth. Megan Smith was excellent! Dr. Lawless and his staff have been wonderful! My daughter just got braces recently and him and his staff have answered all of our questions and been so awesome. They make haveing braces fun and enjoyable, with pool parties and giveaways not to mention the stat-of-the-art technologies in the waiting area for everyone to enjoy. the wait time is incredible! Never have to wait very long and they try to accomodate everyones schedule which for me as a single working mom is great! I highly reccomend Dr. Lawless and his staff to eveyone! I could not have asked for a better orthodontic experience. I was referred by a dentist for jaw pain and Dr. Lawless and his staff explained every detail of what the process would look like. The amount of time the staff devoted to me was amazing, and they worked on a timeline that had me out of braces and pain-free ahead of schedule and in time for my wedding. They are incredibly detail oriented and worked with me every appointment, and even when I called in with questions, to provide the best services possible. I was greeted by name every time I walked in the door and could tell everyone was invested in helping. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

My daughter went here for her braces and got them off back in 2015, she ended up snapping her her retainers and when we called in to get them replaced, it was an easy process and they got us in the next business day! My daughter received treatment from Dr. Lawless for 2.5 years. He was caring, he explained everything before and during treatment, and his staff followed up with us within a week to make sure everything was going okay with each visit. Morgan was a joy to work with in billing; she made financing the balance on the braces easy and affordable. After having taken my sons to another orthodontist a few years before, I was happily surprised at the difference both in price and service that Dr. Lawless provided. First off, mad props to Kelsi Cline for referring me to Lawless. I lucked out that she just happens to work there, because as someone new in town I had NO CLUE where to start to try and find someone that knew how to work with a Dystonia patient. Kelsi made it a simple process getting on the books and ready for my first appointment for a new guard to protect my teeth from the clenching my Dystonia causes. Much to my pleasant surprise I was in the hands of a professional who was familiar with oromandibular dystonia and who helped make a great action plan in terms of creating a guard that was durable and protective, while also being comfortable for day and night time wear. Considering I chewed through my last guard I had made before moving here in less than 2 months time, I had to make sure I'd be getting my money's worth with a reliable guard this time around. I cant wait to get my new guard and I know with this awesome team I'll be in great hands as they walk me through getting this annoyance under control.

I'd like to preface this by saying the staff and Dr. Lawless himself are all very kind people. That being said, I believe they may have taken on too many patients to the point where often times details or notes are lost in between appointments or just not recorded, so that treatment is not carried out the way it is meant to. Mid- way through my treatment, Dr. Lawless suggested some changes to my invisalign steps to enhance the look of my smile. When I came in the next time and did not receive the attachments he mentioned, I questioned it. I was told that there were no notes on this and that at the end I could then adjust my treatment. I had also been told my treatment would be done early, and it was not. I had moved to another city and the staff was for the most part helpful, as I was driving 6+ hours to come back for appointments. On what was said to be my last appointment, I drove in town only to find out I would need to come back 1-2 more times. They did work with me at this point because of my frustration, and decided to make my retainers same day so that I could pick them up or they could ship them to me (They did say I would need to give a review in order for them to ship to me, which ended up not being the case). At that point I was just not willing or able to extend my treatment to include the new steps that were supposed to be done months before. As an adult without the option of using dental insurance, I paid (and am still paying) for this 100% out of pocket. At this point I do not feel that it was worth the amount I paid.

I had what was thought by my dentist to be TMJ, but turned out that my jaw joint was shifting over time. It was quite painful at times & would sometimes lock up. I would've been a candidate for surgery if I were younger, but it wasn't a guaranteed fix either. Dr. Lawless felt that aligning my bite could ultimately fix the problem. I'm nearing the end of the process & my jaw doesn't click or tense up anymore. He's done an excellent job with my teeth & jaw, his staff is very kind, compassionate & knowledgeable. I'll share something to attest to Dr. Lawless character & compassion. I got sick 3 months before my normal end of procedure date & had to have the braces removed early. My sickness also prevented me from wearing the splint as I needed. Dr Lawless told me not to worry, to come back when I'd recovered from surgery & he would pick back up where we left off, free of charge. My teeth/jaw did shift while I was sick, instead of 3 months to be complete, I needed 7 & Dr Lawless was true to his word, doing what was needed to get me corrected without additional charges. I appreciate the integrity as much as the professionalism in which he does his job. I would recommend Dr Lawless & his staff to anyone.

Lawless Orthodontics is the absolute worst place. They tell u one thing and do another. First when placing my child’s braces they placed metal when he was suppose to get the clear. Then they sugar coat everything and say oh if someone else’s brings them. We can FaceTime/ call with updates. Then u have appointments arrive 7 minutes late and are told sorry your late we will have to reschedule. Even though in your contract it states 15 minute grace period. So decided that we would discontinue service and have removed due to unreliability of office staff and follow thru. Then told appointment at 2 pm 3/14 and receive text at 0815 saying your appt is at 0825. Which there has always been reminder a day before of appt time. If you are looking for reliability Don’t go to Lawless as you will be disappointed when your already stuck with them!!!!!

Great professional experience. My daughter had a complete cross bite. At the beginning of treatment we were planning on at least 2 sets of braces. Dr Lawless and his staff were able to correct her teeth with 1 set of braces. Dr Lawless did not feel a 2nd set was necessary and that by continuing to wear retainers that her teeth would be fine. We are all very pleased with the results and my other daughter will be a patient in the near future.

Dr. Lawless and his staff are awesome! They did a great job with my teeth and ate very quick in getting replacent retainers whenever I need them. The new technology they have when making my retainers is amazing. No more mold impressions. They have a scanner that scans your teeth. So whenever I need new retainers, I don’t have to get another impresssion done. I just call and ask them to make them from the scan and they are usually ready that afternoon. Will not go anywhere else.

All his staff is wonderful and knows there stuff. The most impressive to me with the staff is how they work as a team. It is not about each one just getting their job completed they are truly all there for the patients. That is how you know that true patient care starts from the top with Dr. Lawless and flows down to his staff. They also do other fun things to keep the kids excited and involved. We did not get to participate in a lot of those but it still speaks high of the office and how much they value their patients. We will absolutely be repeat patients and if asked about an orthodontist Lawless is the only one in my book.

Not a very professional experience, the technicians are typically nice but the system is seriously flawed. They will tell you one thing one day and the next it’s something different. If you want your teeth fixed right I wouldn't choose lawless. I wish I got a different orthodontist when I had the chance. Also most of the reviews here were bribed, they will give you points in exchange for reviews.
