I incidentally stumbled upon Dr. Hekmatyar, and his team, several years ago when I was looking for a dentist who would accept my children's insurance. I was a full-time college student, working part-time, and my children were on Medicaid. From the beginning, I always felt valued, regardless of our financial situation. We were consistently treated with respect. I am not sure they will ever be able to understand how much that meant to me in that time of my life. I finished graduate school, landed a great job, AND a great husband. My family doubled in size, and now all eight of us are patients of Dr. Hekmatyar! He and his team have seen us through the challenges of kids in braces, fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, and even an implant! At this point, I cannot imagine ever going to another dentist. Their level of expertise and customized care have come to mean so much to me and my family. I can genuinely say that in the eyes of Fort Thomas Family Dentistry, I am not just another patient, and neither are you!

How many great things can I fit into one review? The entire staff is superb, going way above and beyond to make me feel at home. I have been dealing with a lot of paperwork due to upcoming travel, and they have been immensely patient and kind when I have needed to come back in multiple times to fix issues. Dr. H has proven time and again that not only is he a fantastic dentist, but also a wonderful person, and has curated a like-minded and kind-hearted staff. I can't recommend this place enough.

Very much like Dr. Hekmatyar, I find him very trustworthy. I've been to dentists where they seemed like dodgy car mechanics, trying to get you to have work done you don't really need. Do not get that vibe here at all.

I was not that pleased with my service to my two children. The appointment for both my 9yr old and 3 yr old only last about 45min and most the time was spent waiting. After words I was referred to a pediatric dentist for my 3yr for cavities... yet no x-rays were taken. I felt like he did not even care to see my child and was very displease... May be great for adults but would not recommend them for children.

Terrified of having my cavities filled, there was just no way I was going to go back... Years and years later, it got too bad to ignore. Sucked it up and tried this place out, reading the good reviews. He was absolutely amazing! So gentle, HARDLY felt the shot (like a little pinch). The fillings were a piece of cake. I felt nothing! Dr. H was so good to me and knows what he's doing. He knew how nervous/terrified I was, and it turns out there was nothing to be afraid of! I couldn't be happier. Truly amazing. One big fear knocked off my list.

Dr. H got me back on track, gave me a wonderful pep talk that I will never forget, and within 4 months (after daily flossing, brushing + mouthwash) I already had marked improvement! After years of neglecting my teeth, bouncing around from dentist to dentist, Dr. Hekmatyer, through his easy going demeanor, nonjudgemental and understand approach and the kind, professional and welcoming environment him and his staff create in the office, got me serious about my dental and oral health-- and I have never felt better. Thanks Dr. Hekmatyer! If you are new to Cincinnati/Northern KY or just looking for a new dentist, I strongly recommend (as I do to all my friends) that you see and establish care with Dr. Hekmatyer ASAP!
