I gave one star, as leaving no stars at all will not grant a review to be left. My experience with this office, as far as Dr Loehr is concerned was horrible. I can understand that as a clinician, having patients not only keep their appointments, as well as being timely is crucial to maintain an on time schedule, as well as make a profit, is VERY important to pay overhead and all staff. However, with that said, I'll admit, that I missed my first appointment with this provider. My bad... my second appointment, I had to cancel the day of the appointment due to a migraine, where I was vomiting and unable to withstand light, noise, much less the electric cleaning tools in my mouth. Due to the late cancellation, it was considered a late cancellation/no show. I completely understand the policy on this. I wasn't sure, at this point that I could even reschedule, and apologized profusely to the scheduler/receptionist over the phone at the time my appointment was cancelled. I was assured, that I could schedule a 3rd appointment, which was done. However, my 3rd appointment fell on the Monday following Thanksgiving. I got my reminder call on Wednesday, late morning, where I rec'vd a voicemail advising of my upcoming appointment, and to call back to confirm before 2pm (to allow staff the opportunity to observe the holiday) the same day. Unfortunately, by the time I actually discovered a missed call and VM, it was after that time. AT NO TIME WAS I TOLD (in voicemail) THAT MY APPT WOULD BE CANCELLED IF I FAILED TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT. The voicemail greeting also does not suggest that appt confirmations can be left on the office voicemail system. When I arrived Monday morning for my appt, I was advised that my appointment was cancelled, since I failed to confirm the appointment. Rather that kill the messenger, aka the scheduler/receptionist, I asked to speak with the office manager. She refused to speak with me. I presume that this policy may only be for Dr Loehr's clinic with this practice? ...as the poor receptionist pulled Dr Loehr from her clinicals to speak with me. She (Dr Loehr) stoutly made no apologies for what had occurred, even after me explaining in detail what had occurred. I find this, all the way around, a very poor business practice. I imagine Dr Loehr's associates likely have a full clinic, where their patients love to see their dentists, based on 5 star reviews for the practice dentists and hygienists for the other providers. Dr Loehr, on the other hand, lacks the skills necessary to run a thriving business based on her bedside manner and business practices. To drive from Newton to Southwest Wichita, with frozen and black ice on the roads, to be treated like this was abhorrent. Not only, as a patient, but a disabled veteran and law enforcement veteran, I am appalled. She has not only been reported to to the Department of Veteran's Affairs for her behavior, but to my private insurance as well. Ugh, absolutely disgusted.
