What an amazing dental group! One of the most thorough initial exams. Dr. Newland explained everything in easy to understand terms. I had been having a problem with a tooth that I continually told my previous dentist about with no solution. She listened and was able to fix the tooth the same day! I love her proactive approach. Why wait till there is a problem? They even gave me different treatment options so I could decide what best fit my needs and my budget. Everyone from the front staff to the assistants and hygienist were so friendly and truly cared about me and wanted to know me on a personal level. Definitely didn’t feel like a patient but a friend or family member! Highly recommend!

Bad bad service, my husband had cleaning there and after a week he went to see the orthodontist and found calculus are still there. The Orthodontist helped us call the office to see if they can redo it, they agreed to call my husband back but they didn’t and when Finally stopped by there they said that they have to give him another advanced cleaning which means new charge all out of our pocket. Will stick with the previous dental office even this one is the closest one to us.

New building, new equipment, great staff that's very friendly, quick treatment and in house crown making with state of the art milling machine. I was very impressed to watch that machine work and how quick it does it. Very knowledgeable staff that works as a team. Have recommended to family friends and coworkers. Won't go anywhere else.

This dentist office is right outside my neighborhood so I decided to schedule cleanings for my son and I, so we could get in quickly. The dentist and staff were very friendly, but something didn't seem right when they listed out a whole litany of issues and things we needed to have done. They had a billing specialist come out and go through the financial aspect before they even cleaned our teeth. Something didn't seem right, they said I needed a crown and a whole bunch of work, and I only went there for a cleaning. They also said my son had 3 cavities that needed to be filled which was weird because he just had his teeth cleaned 7 months prior with no indication of any cavities. I had my records sent to my dentist for a second opinion and they confirmed I do NOT need a crown and they said it's unlikely my son has 3 cavities that quickly but will need to see him to make sure. I started digging and I found out it's corporate company owned based out of California but they have locations all over but they name the offices after the shopping centers... This is a new shopping center so the dental office name is BluHawk... (Shopping center name is Blue Hawk). Again, the staff is really friendly and I feel bad writing this information, but if you go there and it seems like there is a lot of work they are saying you need... ask for a second opinion like I did.

For someone who avoids the dentist at all cost I must say that I was very impressed with Bluehawk dental. The office was clean and appeared to consist of modern, state of the art equipment / technology. Within 2 minutes of checking in, I was introduced to Dr. Newland and her assistant. Dr. Newland was patient and thorough in diagnosing and outlining a treatment plan. She took her time to address all of my questions and concerns before starting treatment which went a long way in making me feel more comfortable. Pricing seemed fair and the time commitment was far less than I had expected. If you are looking for a dentist in the Overland Park area, give Bluehawk and Dr. Newland a try.

I went in for a cleaning and it took 3 hrs. They were very unsanitary. My xrays were performed by someone that had no clue what they were doing. It took 25 mins to perform. The xrays were unsanitary....she would insert the device in my mouth go around the corner to hit the button with the same hand she was taking the device in and out of my mouth. Then place the device in the counter and back into my mouth. Then she was touch the keyboard and mouse and returned back to my mouth. Also had staff member help her and she then placed her ungloved hand in my mouth. A few days later and I am sick! Never seen anything like this. They wanted to fill multiple cavities which I had just had a prior visit 6 months ago to my previous retired dentist with no indication of cavities either. And then my husband needed 3 cavities filled. $$$$$....can we say seeking money! Also with billing/financial coming back to tell me the cost prior to a cleaning. Oh and they only have one dental hygentist. I had to wait 2.25hrs for the dentist to clean my teeth!! Never experienced such a inefficient, unsanitary, long dentist visit in over 30 years! Please find a dentist practice else where.

The office visit for my routine cleaning was great! Everyone was nice, professional, and Dr Newland was very knowledgeable. I was in and out in less than an hour. Very satisfied!

My dentist of several years doesn't accept my new Medicare coverage. I decided to try BluHawk. My original dentist was monitoring some gaps in the gum line. BluHawk said I need a deep cleaning and flouride treatment. I agreed. I went back 6 months later for a cleaning. Before anyone even examined me they wanted to schedule me for "periodontal maintenance" and fluoride treatment every 3 months with substantial out of pocket expense. I felt as I did the first time that they were trying to "upsell" their services. My previous dentist didn't feel I needed any of this just a few months before I went to BluHawk. I won't be going back.
