This place is the best - I seriously can't thank them enough. They were able to fit me in due to a cancellation for a same day appointment, and I was in bad shape. So much pain from a tooth that I couldn't think straight! Tammy (I think that's her name) at the front desk looked up my insurance for me when I was panicked because I couldn't find my card, thinking they wouldn't be able to see me without it. Dr Krehbiel & assistant? did a root canal, making sure that I was as comfortable as possible and didn't feel a thing. It turned out great, and the main thing - no more pain! I'll never fear the sound of those drills again! Everyone was so kind and helpful, and very professional! Clean, modern relaxed atmosphere. Great experience! I chipped a tooth on night shift and needed a crown. I also had 1 cavity, a nice size one. I called at 7 am right away and they got me in that morning for the cavity and temporary crown. Pretty painless as far as I'm concerned and I don't even like going to the dentist. Nice people that work there too, and if you're a cash customer (no insurance) like me they have a discount that's pretty good. Will be my dentist as long as I live in the DSM area.

Three years ago, I was in search of a new dental care provider. In the years before I found the folks at Hickman Family Dental, I had suffered with poor dental care at three other dental care providers. I was in need of help. I was missing teeth. I was frustrated and fearful. I was afraid that I would not find someone that cared. Thank goodness I found Dr. Brad Erickson. Over the last three years he and the entire team (Dr. Krehbiel, Terri, Leslie, Alex, Megan, Tami, Melissa, Renata and all the others) have been so wonderful! They put together a comprehensive plan that gave me back my smile and all the confidence and comfort that goes with that. They did it all with compassion, sensitivity and consummate professionalism. They made me feel like family! So much so that I have brought other members of my family to them. Their attention to detail, compassion and willingness to arrange schedules, where possible, to help my family has been so helpful. Even though I had become a patient of Dr. E. when I experienced pain in my tooth and realized he was not in the office, Dr K. immediately worked me into his busy schedule. Ummmm, nobody, HOWEVER, because of the care I have received at Hickman Family Dental it gives me peace of mind to know that is where I am going! I love Hickman Family Dental - and I finally like going to the dentist - after about 30 years! The front desk ladies are wonderful and will always fit you in according to your schedule. They also don't keep you waiting past your appointment time, which is important to me. All the hygienists I've had are patient and very friendly - and help calm your nerves immediately! Dr. Krehbiel rocks - he is smart, caring, and takes the time to make sure all your questions are answered. My husband sees Dr. Erickson and says the same about him. I called them and made an appointment. They promptly sent me an E-Mail confirmation and reminder which I liked. When I got there I was X-Rayed several ways and they showed me them on a monitor. Very Cool! The assistant cleaned my teeth and it was interesting that she had many things to look at on the ceiling while she was working. A little thing but a nice touch. Dr. Krehbiel was nice and did a thorough exam. I think this was a very positive experience and I scheduled my next visit while I was there.
