WOW, awesome team at Emergency Dental Care USA in Des Moines!!! I got an appointment on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm, tooth pulled and out before 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon!!! By later that afternoon I was in Vinton, Iowa at the stock car races and swelling had completely gone down, no more pain!!! Highly recommend this fine dental practice and their fast, professional yet friendly way to help a person in pain!!! Don’t put off dental work because of the weekend, get it done!!!

From the moment I stepped in I felt comfortable. The staff was amazing. I had a bad toothache. They were prompt to ease my pain and take care of the problem immediately, all while 2 other patients were receiving the same great care. Great experience!

Husband had a tooth that needed pulled, but it was a Saturday. I googled Saturday Dentist Des Moines, knowing I wouldn't find one closer. Found this office, called them about 2pm. They squeezed him in for a 6pm time. We're about an hour away. Left home at 4:30 and was back home at 7:30! Tooth pulled, no more pain. Happy husband, happy wife! Awesome staff, nice office. They explained what they would do and what the cost would be. AND, because dental insurance is nearly non-existent, we have Care Credit accounts and this office takes Care Credit! That made our day! Thank you Emergency Dental!

So, I went in today with an abcessed tooth. I am generally very afraid of the dentist, and have had really bad experiences in the past. My tooth needed to be extracted, I was terrified but the whole staff really helped me be calm, the nurse(assistant?) Was so sweet and comforting, and the doctor did everything he could to make me comfortable. I got my tooth out and feel better already. I am really glad i chose this place!

Came here today had an X-ray and a root canal done today within an hour! Never have I been in a dentist office for just an hour! They were nice and friendly better than any dentist I’ve been to in Des Moines half of them don’t care they make you feel right at home here was fantastic! I’m not one usually to post positive reviews often but yes they were great! Will be coming back!

I had a infected tooth causing a lot of pain that needed to be extracted. I called late on a Saturday and was able to get in the next day (a Sunday) to be seen. From the time I walked in to the time I left everyone was very professional. They were very informative and made sure the tooth area was numb before even attempting to remove the tooth. I would recommend this place to anyone and will return when needed.

I had a chipped front tooth that my normal dentist wasn't able to see me for for several weeks, I called them up and had an appointment for later that evening. Before anything began they told me the price, and then half an hour later I was out. Would highly recommend for anyone needing any dental work done, could not have been more satisfied.

I broke a tooth off at the gum line around midnight. When Emergency Dental Care opened, the staff worked me into there schedule in a very short time. They told what would be happening step by step. I hate going to the dentist, my fear was not needed. I found them on the Internet, best find I could have hoped for. Christina, Jamie, Dr. Kirsis, and his assistant make a great team. I would highly recommend Emergency Dental Care to everyone. I was treated by a professional, caring, and dedicated team. Best care I could have hoped for.

The staff here are very friendly, understanding, and capable. They were careful to make educated decisions regarding my care. They are very considerate of each individual patient and each patient-specific situation. They were more than happy to refer me elsewhere when it would be the best decision for me as the patient instead of forcing me to endure a very unpleasant experience in the office. They acted on the basis of swift intervention and did not allow me to leave the office with any of the pain or discomfort that had brought me in. They were thorough in their instructions and explanations and left no doubt in my mind that I would be fine! I would recommend this office to anyone in need of emergency dental intervention in the Des Moines metro area. There are no words to express my gratitude to the entire staff here. I had a nasty abscess and was in extreme pain today, which is Saturday, of course. My hubby remembered this place and called this morning. To our surprise, they got me in at 6:00 pm and I was out by 7:00 pm all fixed up!! The staff was warm & friendly, quick & professional. Seeing how it was a Saturday & an emergency, we thought for sure the bill would be astronomical even with my insurance. But nope, less than a tank of gas! I was so impressed, I booked another appointment to fix the rest of my teeth. Thank you again!

Was there for the 2nd time (second wisdom tooth removal) Staff is super sweet and friendly. The doctor I saw was super nice and explained every question I had and we also had a bit of time to joke around while he got me numb. Came in at 12:30pm and walked out at 1:20pm without my Wisdom tooth. No sneaky charges they tell you what you will pay right there. Highly recommend this place

Emergency Care Dental is absolutely amazing! I had never had any type of major dental work bedsides a cleaning before so I was extremely scared! They made the process not only completely painless, but they made me laugh to ease my anxiety about the procedure. They were very thorough with the after care instructions and mentioned many times if I needed anything they were there for me! I only wish they could be my normal dental team!! I HIGHLY recommend them! Don’t go anywhere else! :-)

This is the second time I've been to Emergency Dental Care and I haven't been disappointed. The staff was amazing and even got me in sooner than my scheduled time. The doctor even called me before closing time to check on me, as my visit was a little long and painful. I will continue to give them my business and recommend them to my family and friends!

Dentist was nice, very efficient, In and out in 90 minutes to have my filling done. The dental hygienist was horrible, never spoke to me except for open or close your mouth, the personality of a snail, an during my procedure she was discussing her personal life with the doctor, i felt like I was drowning a few times as she would forget to use the sucking device, which it is very hard to swallow with you mouth pried open and a set of hands and tools in there drilling away. I definitely received a shower from her spraying all over my face, also. Plus I was in a very large room, the room was nice but when the sun is shining in your eyes directly you would think, someone would close the blinds especially when I mention I’m being blinded. All in all after receiving my $420 bill, I would recommend waiting to visit your own dentist!

I walked in experiencing a lot of pain. I am also extremely scared of the dentist. When i walked in, the ladies at the front desk was very nice and professional. They definitely build great rapport. My wait was short lived. I was taken to one of the rooms and not only were they patient, but was very understanding as well. Dr. Andris Kirsis, did an amazing job. I got my tooth pulled, and i would go back and recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for everything, i feel a ton better.

Unfortunately, I managed to crack a tooth last night while on a date night with my husband. I spent all night in the worst pain I've ever felt and didn't sleep a wink. Of course, today is a Saturday and my regular dentist and most others are not open. My husband called Emergency Dental for me first thing this morning and explained the agony I was in. They booked me immediately for an appointment at 11:30 am. We reside about an hour away and ended up walking in 45 minutes early. The front staff was exceptional, as she helped filling out paperwork and filing my insurance for me. I ended up in a room with the dental assistant immediately after paperwork for x-rays and exam. The DA was absolutely amazing and caring. She understood my issue and worked to make me comfortable and provide reassurance in my situation. Pretty soon the dentist came in- He was fantastic!! Numbed me and fixed me right up. No pain at all during the procedure and walked me through everything with kind words. I did not expect this type of experience and in the end I even told my husband that if we didn't live out of town I would consider making this my "home" dental office. So many thanks for fixing me and taking away all of my pain.

I went here on a weekend because I mistakenly thought my own dentist did not do emergency work on weekends. I gave Emergency Dental Care my insurance card and showed them what the insurance would pay, but they made me pay their "minimum fee" regardless. Of course, I overpaid and now need a refund. If you call the Clive office, they tell you to contact the corporate office. When you call the corporate office, they tell you to fill out the online refund form. I have sent numerous requests for a refund over a 16-month time period and never even got a response. Don't go here if you have insurance! To make matters worse, the dentist I saw did shoddy work that I needed to have redone by my regular dentist. My regular dentist made me promise to never go to Emergency Dental Care again.

Very friendly and very fast! I went in for an abscessed tooth and was out within an hour. I ended up getting the tooth pulled and I have never been a huge fan of the dentist. The dental assistant held my hand and the dentist was talking to me trying to get my mind off of the pinch from the novacaine needle. They made me feel right at home the moment I walked in. Great service!

The dental hygienist were excellent. The dentist when stating the tooth that needs pulled if it broke stated that if it broke at the root that rooting around looking for the piece could take a bit and there could be a better use of time. Understandable that it could be a problem but wording could have been better. The hygienist and receptionist, big kudos!
