I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Westlund, Lindsey, and just the whole crew here! Everyone was so friendly and holy cow what great chairside manner! I went in for my wisdom teeth and like so many was not looking forward to it. Dr. Westlund and Lindsey put my mind at ease especially the morning of the surgery when I was super anxious, to the point I cried before heading into the office. They did a great job of keeping my mind off of it before we started I honestly almost forgot I was there for surgery! My favorite part they were so realistic about it all even both saying good morning, how are you, sure there isn't exactly how you want to start your day but it will be over soon, you'll take a long nap and we'll take care of you. I absolutely love that a follow up call came the same day to see how I was feeling! The atmosphere of the office is great too, doesn't seem like you are there to get work done on your teeth! Can't say enough great things! We are moving to North Liberty soon, but I will travel back if I ever need anything else done and recommend you guys to all I know! On top of the great service, I'm in very little pain the day after surgey and all post-op instructions were super clear! Thanks so much for the top notch service!!!!!

This is hands down, the easiest & best office to work with!! I called to get an appointment on a Monday, as my son started to have pain, in his back upper jaw area over the weekend. (Wisdom teeth) I spoke with Brooke in the front office, & she listened to me about my son’s symptoms & amount of pain he was in, & she scheduled an appointment for me to bring my 14 year old son (yes, 14 years old) the next day, due to the amount of pain he was in. As well as, scheduling a surgery date for Wednesday, the following day!! Just in case, it was his wisdom teeth, & because we were going to be leaving on vacation in 2 weeks. At first, I wasn’t 100% certain that it was his wisdom teeth, as my 2 older children had theirs out at 16 years old. Brooke assured me, it was possible to have to have wisdom teeth extracted at 14 yearly old. My youngest son does not do very well with pain & he is/can be on the side of quite. Brooke reassured me that Dr Sarasin, the doctor she scheduled us with was a very good/easy to talk to Dr & he was going to be doing her son’s wisdom teeth surgery in August. In the end, my son did need to have his wisdom teeth removed. It was nice to have his surgery date already scheduled for the next day. From the first initial phone call, the office visit, & the day of the surgery, everything went smoothly!! My son did have a few issues, & I had to call into the office to speak with a nurse, who advised me what to do & took the time with me on the phone to answer all of my questions!! We did end up having to go back to the office, as my son said he was in a lot of pain. I was out of town & unavailable, so my husband left work in Cr, picked our son up outside of Vinton, & met me at the oral clinic. Dr, Sarasin’s nurse, Joan, got us right in, after hearing of Austin’s discomfort!! Lindsey, Jenna, & Joan, all work closely with Dr Sarasin as his nurses, were professional, reassuring, & kind!! For anyone, looking for an oral surgeon for their children, or themselves , I would hands down recommend this clinic to anyone who is in need of their services!! From the ladies in the front office, the nurses, & the doctor, I am very pleased with all of their services they offer!! Very satisfied parent~ Carole Juergens

I was made comfortable and able to use oxygen for my other health issues. This entire procedure was less painful or uncomfortable than my dentists' fillings. They made a follow-up call to check on my well being. I really appreciated the kind care they gave me as I suffer from anxiety at times like this. Dr. Maurer and his assistants were fantastic! First, they gave me my pain medicine and antibiotic prescriptions ahead of time so I didn't have to get them on my home after surgery. Furthermore, I was brought in and made aware of all the risks associated with my specific procedure weeks before it actually happened. I even ended up rescheduling my appointment 3 times with absolutely no problem. The day of the surgery, I was made to feel very comfortable, as I am not a fan of needles and it was also my first time being put under anesthesia. Many people tell stories of how they are very delirious upon waking up after getting wisdom teeth taken out, and I don't know if it had anything to do with how much of the anesthesia I was given by Dr. Maurer, but this was not the case for me. I felt totally aware and in very little pain. After the surgery, if you end up getting a dry socket or anything, they will bring you in and get you taken care of that same day!! I had a minor infection a week after the antibiotics ran out, but they brought me in same-day, gave me stronger antibiotics, and I never had a problem again. LONG STORY SHORT, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THE DOCTORS AT EASTERN IOWA ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY!

I have a fear of dentists. I had to have two teeth removed, I told them I did not want to be put to sleep but the closer the time came, the more I regretted not getting put to sleep. When I arrived, the lady who greeted me was very welcoming and friendly which help with some of my anxiety. When I went back to the room; my mom was with me who was recently a client of Dr. Fuller. The nurse instantly recognized my mom and made me feel even more calm. The nurse was able to let the doctor know I wanted to be put to sleep, which they accommodated. Dr. Fuller explained everything they were doing to me before I fell asleep. I don’t remember much but they told my mom all my discharge instructions and made sure she felt comfortable and confident before I went home. Later on during the day, I missed the call but they left a voicemail checking in on me and also sent me a text message to make sure I was okay. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had when it came to my teeth! Definitely will go back to Dr. Fuller if I ever need to be seen and will recommend him to everyone!

I had choose to come to Eastern Iowa Oral and Maxillofacial surgery A week ago and I was so pleased with the turn out. I was scheduled to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed with NO Sedation. Definitely determined I was a tough little cookie that could take on pain. My nurse ( wish I could remember her name) was so kind and explained everything so thoroughly and answered any questions I had. She also offered me a blanket so I felt more comfortable. Benjamin Luke Fuller did a wonderful job extracting each tooth very carefully as I told him I would love to keep them. There were no promises that they would all be intacked but they were. I would highly recommend this place it is full of a great team that will take wonderful care of you. My experience was better then I could ever imagine, I would rate this place and team higher then a 5 star if I was able to. I can’t say enough good things about this place.......

The Doctors seemed fine. The staff is not able to handle simple questions. I had a bad reaction to medication that they prescribed me...they just told me to take tylenol... 4 phone calls the day of surgery with no help. Then the check up appointment they wouldn't even address the issue. I had to request that my records go to another oral surgeon...But again failure. They wait until I leave to tell me that they forget to get me to sign the paperwork to transfer my records. Get a good Business manager. Your staff is not professional or able to address issues as they come up

Dr Maurer and Lizzy are a great team, expeditious with positive results. Everyone is so nice, fun and considerate making sure you understand all things that matter...during surgery and after. I had a very positive experience, for the following reasons: 1) I was contacted by a person prior to my appointment to make certain I had the date time and everything I needed. 2) The doctor and staff were informational and helpful in assisting me throughout the entire appointment. Wisdom tooth extraction was entirely new to me, and the way they relayed the information to me helped me to understand what to expect, and what to do about it. 3) I received a phone call checking to see if I had any concerns or problems after my appointment. If I'm going to have dental surgery in the future, this is where I'm going to go to have it done.

I cannot say enough about our experience here today. We drove over two hours to get my sons wisdom teeth out today and encountered a terrible car accident on the way involving a semi truck. We ended up being about 10 minutes late for our appointment but the office staff was more than accommodating and understanding. Like the place but went into get my wisdom teeth done and got canceled on TWICE!!! Dr. Sarasin first canceled because his friend had died and then I had a cold for almost a week and was almost completely over it and he tried saying it wouldn't be safe for me to get them removed. Highly don't recommend him!
