Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Didn't try to charge extra fees for doing what is EXPECTED to be done for a routine cleaning (like cleaning below the gum line). This was my first visit but I plan to stay with Merit Dental.

I really liked Dr. Austin and his staff. I thought they were friendly, thorough and gentle. It was very well run and organized and the ladies that ran the front desk were super nice. Also I was a little chilly and the doctor came out with a blanket for me while I waited on my daughter. Now that is service. Next time I will ask for a foot rub..haha!

They are professional, friendly, and trained to inform you on step by step procedures, also will recommend the best tooth paste and mouth wash for your dental up keep. During my first visit, my teeth were cleaned by the doctor because there was a severe snow causing travel delays in the area. So literally, the best cleaning ever, although I hadn't been to a dentist office in years. During my second visit (routine appointment), my teeth was cleaned by a usual hygienist and my experience was just as detailed. Very friendly and helpful staff. After each appointment, I leave feeling as if I was given the best care for my teeth. As well as, honest feedback on how I can better care for my teeth. The front office staff is friendly and welcoming as well. My teeth are not a problem, so I can't speak on how the care is for major issues, but I am sure it is just as pristine. Highly recommended.

Dr Austin and his staff are one of a kind. The staff are friendly and gentle. Will let you know what will happen at the office. In addition, help you understand how to take care of you teeth at home. Help me understand the right way to floss. All of this happen before you see Dr. Austin. When Dr. Austin comes in he goes open the X-Rays and let you know how to have better dental health. Dr. Austin was able to put me on a whiting program and other people can see the difference. Great doctor and staff!!!!

Dr. Austin costs a little more, but he is gentle (good for all of us cowards), and his work is top-notch. If you're looking for a dentist for whatever reason, here he is--right on Eden Drive. Perhaps if you live in Florida this might be too far to drive; however, no one else lives so far that this drive wouldn't be well worth it.

Dr. Austin and his entire staff were wonderful to us. They were able to save my oldest daughter's tooth after we had been told it would have to be removed by a previous dentist. They also took special care with my teenage son who is autistic and hyper-sensitive. The service was incredibly thorough and professional and the receptionists were warm and pleasant and ensured all four of us had appointments that fit into our schedules. Definitely the best dental ministrations we have ever received.

Merit Dental office is a scam and the entire staff is in on it! Let me explain. I received a first time visit discount postcard, so I went in for a cleaning. I've been getting my teeth cleaned twice a year for about 6 years now and currently I have braces. Before I went in, while talking on the phone, the desk lady kept making it a point to mention that the price is different from the discount if you need a deep cleaning, which means your gums are bad or you have gum some disease, which would negate their discount. That was already a red flag because I've never heard this from a front disk person at a dental office. So after examining my teeth they tell me I need a deep cleaning and that they would not polish my teeth afterwards. They said the cost would be more than $89 for the cleaning, then later agreed to do $89 for the deep cleaning and after a few weeks I can come back for a polishing and the price would be $86, just to polish my teeth, which is suppose to be apart of the cleaning. Scam alert! First of all, I've been to a lot of dentist in Indianapolis but I have never heard anything like that. Second of all, I get my teeth cleaned twice a year and go to orthodontics once a month, so I know my gums can't be as bad as what they tried to make it seem. And I would of paid for the cleaning but I'm not coming back and paying $86 just for you to polish my teeth, which will only take you about 10 minutes to do. So basically for people trying to use the postcard, they will tell you that you need a deep cleaning, so that you aren't really getting any discount and you will end up paying $175 or more instead of $89. I also have dental insurance through my job but they supposedly couldn't find out who I'm with. So after calling them out on their scam hustle, I ended up walking out. The dentist is scam hustler and he knows exactly what he's doing. Even if you have Dental Insurance, I would not use them because their probably ripping you off, getting some extra money out of you some kind of way. You've been Warned! It's sad because I'm black and the staff is black, but it goes to show you how your own people will do you dirty, worst than others.
