Catton Dentistry goes above and beyond. They are gentle and kind. The work I have had done (which has been extensive) has been done to perfection with no discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Mark and Dr. Nicholas for all looking for a dentist that you will be satisfied with above your expectations.

The worst ever dentist/cleaning visit. I moved recently and was looking for a dentist nearby. Catton was the closest, and seeing that they been around for a while and accepted my insurance, I made an exam/cleaning appointment. From the first phone call, this place just didn't seem right. It took a few tries just to talk to the receptionist to schedule the appointment. When I finally got through, the person answering the phone was kinda rude, and had this "what do you want?" attitude. It was odd, but I didn't give it much thought--never know how busy they may have been or if she just had a bad morning. But when I got there for my appointment, I realized that this attitude was somewhat or a norm at that practice. The whole place seemed to have been stuck in '80s, from the receptionist nearly barking "what you here for?" as a greeting, to the overall set up. Pretty much the whole exam/treatment space is just one big room separated into sections by curtains. So you get the pleasure to hear other patients discuss their issues with the staff while sitting/laying on an old, worn out and cracked, dental chair. The hygenist was an incredibly annoying and loud older woman that seemed a lot more interested in pronouncing my name every which way she could and telling me of some people she knows with last name similar to mine--as if I'm supposed to know them or have some relation to them, and was asking me all kinds of personal questions followed by borderline inappropriate comments. The cleaning itself was rough and sloppy, and overall I didn't feel it was done right. At the end, they don't even say thank you for coming or hand you the customary baggie with a tube of toothpaste and sample-sized floss. The receptionist didn't even have appointment cards to write down next cleaning appointment (as if that was gonna happen), and instead just rudely told me that they'll call me a day or two in advance to remind me. Suffice to say, I called them first--to cancel it, and I don't plan on ever coming back there.

I have had several appointments here with Dr. Nick Catton. The staff has always been friendly and professional. Nick is knowledgeable and very good at what he does. He’s always mindful of my comfort and is conservative in his treatment recommendations as much as possible. I have recommended him to friends and family and will continue to. He’s the best dentist I’ve had in many years.

Dr Mark Catton interned with Dr.Howard at 49th & Penn. Dr. Howard was one of the highly recognized dentists in Indpls. during the1950's & on. Dr. Howard was our family dentist when I was a child thru teen yrs. Upon returning to Indpls. in 1996, Dr. Mark Catton, became my dentist, his gentle demeanor, skill and expertness being exceptional. Suffice it to say, this is what Dr. Howard saw in his young intern. Dr. Mark now has son Nick joining him in his practice. Dr Nick is now the dentist I visit when needed , and yes, Dr. Nick has the same dental prowess as his father ! I'm thankful for Catton dentistry, from the front desk to the dental nurses and my dental hygienist of many years !

Mark and his staff are very professional and caring in terms of dental hygiene, tooth repair, and consultation / referral on periodontal issues. His office staff are so very friendly and responsive in communications. I have recommended other friends and relatives to their practice. Mark always has a smile on his face which helps put me at ease. There is plenty of on site parking, and I really like the office renovation at their Pennsylvania address. After our dentist became disabled and unable to practice, our whole family became patients at Catton Dentistry. My son, brother, and father see Dr. Nick and I see Dr. Mark. My son knocked a permanent front tooth out on a slide in the late evening and right away, Dr. Nick offered to meet us at the office to see him. He made "braces" to anchor the tooth until the root had reattached and stabilized. Thanks to his quick action, Luke still has his tooth and did not need a root canal. It's been difficult to find doctors and dentists who are understanding and kind to my brother, who is mentally handicapped. He was so used to our dentist and we were concerned about him making the adjustment to someone new. Everyone at Catton Dentistry has been so understanding and treats him with respect. Everyone from the doctors to the office staff, is so friendly and welcoming. The take the time to really know our family and make us feel comfortable. I can't say enough positive things about this practice. As a fellow medical professional, I can honestly say, I feel very confident in Dr. Mark and Dr. Nick's knowledge and skills, but also appreciate that they are genuinely nice people.

As I've moved over the years, I have tried several different dentists. Dr. Catton knows his stuff, even did a better job on my braces and more informative than many orthodontists. Not sure if the other lady's negative comments were grounded. From my experiences, Dr.Catton's true focus is quality dentistry, and a deep knowledge thereof. ... not the decor or goodie bags when you leave the door. I definitely will continue to go to him, take my kids and refer others when asked.

Great Dental Practice. My family and I have been going there for many years now and I always feel like we get great care. They hygienists are friendly and professional and answer all my questions. They will work with you on cost effective ways to keep your smile looking fantastic. The son joined the practice a few years ago and things are "new and improved" with a total office makeover. Love that it's in the neighborhood, close to home, and very family oriented. Another reviewer said it was actually FUN to go there (I mean who really likes going to the dentist, right?) BUT she is right. We are patients for life!

What started as a routine checkup continued year after year..... and soon included my family.
