Great practice, clean beautiful colors painted on the wall. They get you to the back quickly however why do it take so long for check out?! My last appointment had to walk out I had another appointment to attend and just told the clerk I'll call the office for a future visit. Very irritated by the unnecessary long wait to check out! It was only one person ahead of me and she was waiting already when I came out to check.

It is always crowded and normally feels like I am sitting in a DMV/Unemployment office--so many people crammed into there. Oftentimes, the personnel treated you in the same manner as you would expect to receive from the DMV office. I am glad that I do not have to take my child to this dentist office anymore.

My experience here has generally been okay. However I would like to acknowledge one of the dental hygienist that cleaned my daughter's teeth. I think her name is Anissa, she was such a pleasant treat. She took the time to explain to my daughter about how to properly brush and floss her teeth. Prior to this, my daughter has been extremely lazy about brushing her teeth, but after Anissa took time with her and talked about the importance of brushing, my daughter has been adamant about brushing/flossing her teeth both day and night (before she would only do it during the week day mornings and never on the weekend). Neither of my kids have ever had this kind of treatment either at this office or any other and I appreciate Anissa, especially when you feel like you are being rushed and moved through the office like a herd of sheep.

I have taken my daughters there for a while now. Never had a problem until last Thursday daughter had an appt for 4 extractions. Her insurance on file and of course this appointment had been made weeks in advance. Knowing how scared and how anxiety can get to my daughter I decided to not wait any longer n doing it all at once. Appointment at 730am I get there to after a while office manager comes towards me to give me the bad news that unfortunately her insurance wont cover "ortho extractions" which disappointed me due to the fact that why did they wait until that exact date to tell me this and hit me with "oh its 100 per tooth plus 20 extra for "laughing gas"... so there again get hit with the total of 420.00! But of course they didnt want me to get more upset then what I was alrdy so manager says oh but we cam do payment plans but you would have to pay half upfront. Okay... my point here is knowing how nervous my daughter had been the day before procedure and the actual day of treatment was i really going to say oh no forget it we will just cancel.. no i decided to go ahead and say go ahead and do because I knew how scared and nervous my daughter had been. So might as well get it over with now. No matter how I was going to come up with that money that was sure not expected nor I was prepared due to who ever handles insurance claims or who probably should've informed me since the day I scheduled her appointment so I would know what to expect and how prepared I needed to be. Hopefully this will be the last time going through something like this and realize how it really does impact a family. No one ever wants to walk in for something unexpected like this. I would expect staff to be more conscious of these type of things to avoid a family get turned away because they arent financially prepared and cause such an inconvienece. UPDATE: 4/19/19 Would not recommend as they have messed with my account again...and messing my finances as they went ahead and processed a payment which was not supposed to occurred and try calling office manager and was told wasn't available and that she was the only one that could assist me.. very upsetting... never will I consider going back.

I have been taking my children here for over 15 years, even though they have changed names. Over the past 15 years they have changed so much, they over schedule and claim to work on “kids time”. Every time we come in for a cleaning or anything we wait for over an hour in the back and I sit and see empty chairs and workers socializing. However the waiting area has become quicker at getting you back I still wait a ridiculous amount of time because of the socializing, they think they can sit and socialize and then get busier and can’t handle the flow due to over scheduling and socializing. When checking out you wait another 20+ minutes because they sit and socialize as well. They will send you out emails for their survey on your visit and I state the same thing on every survey and still nothing has changed. I feel like I have been very loyal to them, even seeing them on the news for causing infections and lawsuits. However I have been to other locations that are so much better than this one. This one is just convenient to my home.

This dentistry is absolutely great! The staff are very prompt and thorough. Scheduling is flexible and easy with text reminders for easy rescheduling. They recommend what is strictly needed and don't try to harass you to pay for unneeded work. During our last visit, Staff member Alondra assisted my son providing an excellent service making him feel welcomed and comfortable as with all the staff. I highly recommend this dentistry for all parents with kids that want reliable and dependable work from a dentistry.

The wait time as too long (45+ minutes for appt time). I already gave exrays and they had to take more because they printed them on paper instead of looking at them on the computer (since they were digital). They could not find my referral when all the paperwork was done 2 days in advance. It felt like a hospital waiting room instead of a dentist office and the back of the office where they do the tests at isn't nice at all there is no separation

I would also like to say that Ms. Christy was very professional and politely keep my daughter happy while conducting the treatment and more so want to say that my daughter was super happy that wanted to come again the next day to see Ms. Christy. I've been to the Smyrna location, but the Austell location is by far the BEST. My 9 year old son is special needs and they are exceptionally patient with him and take their time to manage his oral care. The staff-parent communication is at best. Shout out to Whitney who my daughter said made her feel comfortable and Dominique and another female who cared for my son. Keep up the great work! ❤

My daughter needed a lot of work done. From a nervous mother's standpoint, my guard was already up!!! From the time I walked in, until we left, the staff were extremely kind and showed lots of indivualized care towards patients. The facility is decorated in SUCH a kid friendly way (movie theatre, arcade games, prizes, balloons, stickers, t-shirts). I will definitely be returning. The dentist was very fast, but I appreciate him taking the time to show me the xrays and explain what the treatment plan was. Everyone there was just great and went above and beyond!!! A long way from Kool Smiles (which is absolutely atrocious (staff, facility and all)....As we were leaving, my daughter said "Mommy, I love that place!" That made it all worth it for me!!! Keep up the awesome work guys :)

Great childrens dentist. 1st appt was rocky - my little one didnt want to cooperate, but 2nd go round the team made her feel super comfortable and she opened up. Great svc and these guys have a great attitude and strong team. I was so thankful to the team for making her first scan and cleaning and comfortable as possible. My 3 year old wants to go to the dentist again now, and keeps beggimg me to go back as if it were the park.

Had a great experience at the Austell location. My son started coming to this location in 2007. Yes like all offices it has had it ups and downs but more ups then downs. He is now 18 and has to go to an Adult dentist, but I don't have a bad thing to say about Dentistry for Children. The new manager is Awesome and goes out her way to make sure that the costumer is pleased. Great Job!

I'd like to share my experience and also recommend"Chisty" (the assistant) that did an AMAZING job with my daughter! She has Perfect bedside skills! She's also very animated, informative, and did really good with my daughter who had to have teeth pulled!! Her smile was amazing!!!!! DR.. Simms did the procedure and was really fast, and also had good customer service skills as well! I would gladly return and strongly recomend this clinic to friends and family!

My three year old daughter got a filling this morning. Christy was amazing! She made my daughter very comfortable and kept her laughing the whole time. She was also very informative and answered all my questions. It was very clear that she loves her job and is great at it. Dr. Chang( I believe that was her name) was also incredible. They were behind schedule and it was communicated- poor customer service. I will continue to go my Cobb location. The receptionist acted as if she didn’t care when I said we were leaving.

Knowledgeable, professional, friendly, competent, caring, and prompt staff. The services are prompt and timely. There is never a long wait to see a dentist even when the waiting are is packed because the kids are all seen within their appointment time. The staff goes out of their way to speak with you. They're friendly to the children. My kids enjoy going there and feel that it's a field trip instead of a dentist appointment. They have never tried to sell me on unnecessary procedures. They even teach both parents and children on how to take care of their teeth better through regular floss use as well as biannual check ups [coming every six months].

The wait time is always extensive despite having an appointment. I didn’t like how the dentist (Dr. Patel) walked from patient to patient doing her exam and NEVER washed her hands! She simply changed gloves and proceeded to the next patient. Then once she was done, she threw her gloves on the counter near the trays that the hygienist have the materials in once even throwing the dirty gloves in the tray. Medical professionals must know and understand how important hand hygiene is to protect the patient...gloves protect the professional!!

This establishment is very unprofessional, they discuss patients information in front of other patients, while making patients feel uncomfortable. Whitney and some light skinned young lady make fun of patients as if they are not kids although this didn’t happen to me I witnessed it happening to other kids. The laughing and side conversations has to stop. Dentist visits are already scary for some kids they don’t need to feel attacked while being serviced. I shared this conversation with another parent who witnessed this with me. My kids are always asked in the rudest way “who’s paying for this service or that service as if it will come from their pockets. This happened on almost each visit my kids had. I felt like telling the parent was appropriate not the kid. When the parent discusses payments its with the front desk not the dental assistant. I have no problem with them asking is it okay to perform a service but, to challenge it after it’s been said several time yes makes a parent feel as if they are asking for something they can’t afford. Whitney has a terrible habit of this as well as telling a kid it’s not necessary for extra numbing and almost making fun of the kid as if this is a weakness. She voiced to many other staff members while laughing how she has NEVER seen a child have 2 cavities in 1 tooth, well guess what Whitney, it’s a molar that’s normal. I will continue to visit the establishment because most of the people there are wonderful but, this girl and her friend should not be working there. My daughter suffers from anxiety issues that she uses gum to calm her down. Whitney said in a sarcastic way “ well you need to try sugar free because, I have NEVER heard of 2 cavities in 1 tooth. My child felt the need to disclose this information as Whitney made her feel embarrassed about her tooth. This can’t be what the company see’s as a good worker. I work in customer service as well and I would be fired already if this is how I treated people. I will post this on all outlets that I can so, she knows what it feels like for someone to make fun of you and embarrass you. Dentistry for children is a great place without this young lady. My opinion. If I hear another conversation about another child’s medical records I will report this to the proper dental board.

I really like this place. I called early the morning of and made an appointment and was able to get in the same day. I love how they have games and a mini movie theater for the kids to keep them occupied. They are pretty quick when it came to calling us. When I went to sign in I saw like 5 names ahead of ours and I thought that we were going to be there forever. Within 10 min they called us. Now my daughter is terrified of the dentist and the last one we went to weren’t very patient with her. I really love and appreciate how patient the staff was with my daughter. She was only there for X-ray and cleaning but she wouldn’t let them X-ray her. The X-ray technician didn’t get mad he really tried to work with her but when she still wouldn’t budge he didn’t force her. We simply moved on to the cleaning. The visit was about an 45 minutes maybe longer which probably should’ve been probably 20 min but that was ok. Everyone was really patient with her and motivating and friendly even though she put up a fight. She finally let them clean her teeth and the staff including myself and her baby sister all celebrated. They let her pick a prize and she was really happy at the end of the visit. This will from now on be our primary dentist. Thank you.!!!!!!! ☺️

Great service and personalities. My 7yr old son had to get a tooth extraction. He was so nervous. Christy turned this experience into a fun learning experience he was relaxed and enjoyed his visit. I must say it has been a while scince I received such great customer service. I would recommend her to any and everyone. On all of my future visits I plan on requesting her. Pleasant staff and caring, gentle dentists. Great atmosphere for children. Just two things to mention. 1. I don't know if they overbook or not, but it would be nice to not have to wait an hour or more, after x-rays, to get a cleaning. 2. What happened to patient privacy? Parents are told about the status of their children aloud in front of all the other parents. I really don't think the parent next to me appreciated me and every other parent waiting having to hear that their kid has multiple cavities, what treatment plan is needed, and how much it costs. Seems like that should be kept more private (HIPAA privacy) by taking the parent aside in a room. Just my two cents.

I had a very positive experience we did wait a bit but I understand anything with children time is always unpredictable. But my son had an extraction the nurse was great he calmed my son down. Doctor came in and she was super sweet and my son was nervous but because of her kindness we had smooth sailing through the entire extraction! Great place for kids.

Best experience !!!!! Such friendly staff from the front to the back!!!! Alaysia, Christina, Dr.Patel and her assistant were all so patient and kind and explained things so well. We have now found our dentist that we are confident in I would definitely recommend Dentistry for Children. They spend time with you they don't rush you through the appointment and treat you like a number.

This is the worse children's dentist office, just horrible. Be warned they will mess your child up big time. We have changed to a new, not one that is associated with Dentistry For Children, but a wonderful children's dentist. The place we had to take my granddaughter said the place we took her has really caused damage to her and should be reported. she is in surgery has I type this review because of this horrible, despicable place they call dentistry. Please stay away from this place. I hate, hate to put a one star. It should be negative 100. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never really had an issues with this dentist until recently. They are EXTREMELY SLOW! They overbook and have everyone waiting! They never answer the phone or email if I try to call to cancel or changes the kids appt. Nor do they ever call back.Kids had an appointment 3/26. When I got there They say they took them out the system because they say I didn't confirm the appt, which I did. Kids had to wait 45 minutes before they were called back and we were here fit a total of 2.5 HOURS!!! This is RIDICULOUS and the longest I've ever had to wait. And I hate you have to sit and wait a few more minutes after the kids have finished their cleaning as if I haven't waited long enough already! I've been so tempted to change my kids dentists because of these issues. #VERYANGRYANDIRRITATEDMOTHER

I have been going here for a couple of years and liked it. The staff is very polite, but their staff in the back has their flaws. I had a MINOR cavity and they wanted to do a fill in so it would not get worse. I agreed since I was upset about having a cavity. I got the fill in done and they over did it. I went back weeks later to get it “shaved down”. I went back 6 months later for a clean up and they were messing with my back tooth and I explained to them that after my fill in was never the same. They said “It looks fine we won’t touch that tooth since it’s bothering you.” Now $3,000 later, their little mistake of over doing my fill in has led me to have a root canal fixed. Went to another dentist and they said that this dentist messed up my fill in touching a nerve and now that nerve is dead. Will not be returning since they will not accept the fact that they messed up and could not even help me look for a specialist to help my tooth. If your child goes here, make sure their staff is careful with your child. I would hate for anyone to experience the pain I was in.

Dentist came next to girl who did not wear her retainer or something and had her teeth spaced out. He told her these exact words “Sucks to be you, we might have to extract some or all of your teeth.” I have the same problem as this poor girl, but not as badly. I was disturbed to have listened to this happen next to me. While I was waiting still near the girl hearing her being scared after hearing this. I can’t believe this is where I go for orthodontics. Don’t work with children if you don’t understand them. All the other doctors are extremely nice and try to explain situations in the nicest and good way possible to kids. Then this “Professional Best” dentist (Who I have had in past appointments and those appointments were all negative unlike other more truthful and good dentists here) comes to this girl and says “sucks to be you.” I am warning you, one of these days someone else will hear and they won’t be as tolerable to this...

I'm not a fan at all of how this place is run. Staff are nice and all, but I have a problem with the lack of privacy and wide open space used for patient care. There should seriously at least be some partitions, dividers, separators set up so that I am not able to reach out and touch the random kid sitting next me us during a cleaning. For 3 year olds, it's just scary. For me, it seems somewhat unsanitary and again there's NO patient privacy. I came here once about five years ago and didn't like it then. After returning yesterday, I'm sure I won't bring my kids back. A children's dentist office was highly recommended for me for my 3 year old twins. With regards to that, it was nice to have kids movies playing and games in the lobby. It was also nice that they could be loud kids without getting stared at by other people in a quiet typical office. I did find it interesting though that after i finally was able to settle my kids down and maybe have them to a point where they were ready for the cleaning, then someone new would show up talking in their faces with masks on and scaring them all over again. It was crazy, first the assistant, then the dentist, then the hygienist. I mean if there was maybe one less person getting them stirred up we may have had a better turn out. My last final gripe was that every person we interacted with read my kids names wrong. McKinley was called mikayla ( which was confusing to her because my oldest child is mikayla). Maliyah was called maya (which again was confusing bc my other daughter is maya). I guess it was coincidence, but it was strange that they were being called the wrong names. I mean I made the lady spell it and everything bc I started getting confused wondering if I'd put the wrong names on their paperwork. I did make new appts to try again in 6 months, but they'll probably go to a regular office at 4. Thanks, but no good for us

My daughter had her braces removed today!!! This place is amazing .. they really did a wonderful job on my daughters teeth,as a matter a fact, both my daughters and my goddaughter had great results at family orthodontics in austell. CHRIS was awesome today ,so caring in removing my daughters braces! And a very special thank's to Dr. Ouellette!! I never thought my daughter's teeth would look as great as they do!! All the staff are always so helpful and happy, always look like they really enjoy what they ate doing!!!

This dentistry did absolutely incredible when handling my three-year-old daughters procedure today.I personally was unable to make the appointment but this is based on my wife's experience with our daughter. Nurse Christy and Dr. Dipti Patel were extremely caring and helpful in all aspects. Nurse Christy held my daughters hand and talked her through the entire time and practically bonded with my daughter. Dr. Patel did just the same and was able to help my daughter feel so comfortable. They were able to show they truly cared by doing everything possible to make the experience enjoyable. Great location and an amazing staff.

They are so nice and the facility is very kid friendly. They have a theatre room the kids can sit in to watch movies while we wait. Also, my son was excited that he was able to play Pac-Man(he’s 5 but loves anything nostalgic). I have no complaints and my son actually likes going to the dentist.

My Granddaughter was/is now a patient, her teeth were really in bad shape. We the Dr. and I put my wants for her (most painless treatment possible) at 6 1/2yrs. old.
