It was ok. I can't remember the young lady's name (blonde w/glasses), but she was very very polite and explained and broke down everything for me thoroughly the whole time I was with her. As for the Doctor, Mr Chow seemed a bit agitated and frustrated when working on my teeth. He never explained anything before hand or afterwards on what would need to be done next. I had to google to find info on what's next. Now I assume that's what the other ladies are for, but still, at least show like you care about your current patient and customer for that moment.

So, you know how you go to a place for the first time and the staff or people there give you the “Royal Treatment” because, of course, your a new face and we all know we, “never get a second chance to make a first impression”....well... I went to a follow up appointment with my son. And you know what? They were just GREAT. From the person you see at the front desk to the hygienist, and definitely the doctor!! I was expecting a little less curtesy, a little more shuffling us along... but nope. Nothing but great vibes, knowledgeable professionals, high performing team atmosphere. I recommend everyone trying West Dover Dental. They even have “Memberships” for folks who don’t have dental insurance! Go figure... pay one annual amount... and get 2 cleanings, unlimited x-rays, and discounts for any other service you might need through the year. And the membership is UNDER $300!! Definitely do-able for folks worried about how they are going to be able to afford dental care without dental insurance!! Just the best thing for my family.

While everyone was nice enough, I feel the insurance person doesnt know her job very well and as a result I was charged for preventative care when my insurance covers it. Also, I didnt feel like my needs were being met. The visit seemed rushed with the end result being me needing some expensive scaling, and another issue I had, not being thoroughly addressed. I can not say enough about this team of professionals. I was vacationing in Ocean City and had an abcess tooth. After calling and being turned away by 13 dentist offices and several rude receptionists I was referred to this practice. I was very frustrated and in pain but from the moment Liz amdanswered the phone her warmth and professionalism took me by surprise. This office was 1hr 40min from my location. But Liz was more than willing to get me in that morning to be seen. I took time to contemplate the drive and called back and spoke with Brittany who also was extremely kind and professional and they told me to head over and they would see me. I am a COMPLETE dental coward but I'm so glad I found this office. From the moment I hit the door they made me feel at ease. Samantha the dental assistant was a complete gem. She talked me through the whole extraction helping me keep my mind occupied. She was extremely patient with me. Dr Zhu!!!! Professional, kind, gentle and very patient!! My 1hr 40min commute was certainly worth being treated by such a professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone with dental anxiety. After my appt the front office staff gave my 4yr old prizes from their vending machines that kept him busy for the drive back. I live in Pennsylvania but I may be waiting until next year when I'm back at ocean city to head over to West Dover Dental for my dental needs. Thank you for making a untimely interruption in my vacation such a pleasant experience

I'm not very satisfied with the service I have received the same day I got my teeth fixed one tip broke and they feel like they are dirty and rough I paid a lot of money (1700.00) for an hour and half of work and had to call the dentist back because of the roughness and felt he wasn't very happy to have to come back in he also missed one tooth that he said he would fill in on the bottom and the ridges where the cavities were filled which was one of the reasons to have him come back in before my visit was over. I felt he rushed through his job and the roughness makes my teeth fill dirty. on one of my top front still has a ridge than to boot they gave me a $10,000. Quote for a partial top and bottom plates. I don't think I will will be using their service again

May 2, 2018... I had an appointment just to get a routine cleaning for the first time . New to this practice . Came in and Jasmine was Wonderful! So sweet and helpful, she couldn’t get the right X-ray pictures so she went and got this girl named “ Crystal “ . She came and acted like she did not want to be there and was RUDE ! She was pressing extremely hard on my gums and it really was painful , I’m in pain now ! She couldn’t get a good shot and I told her “ I don’t think it’s working “...she ripped her pink gloves off and said “ You know what whatever “ and walked out ! SHE PUT ME IN PAIN AND GOT MAD ! CRYSTAL SHOULD BE FIRED OR TRAINED TO DEAL WITH DIFFICULT SITUATIONS! I walked out and said I’ll never be back ! You want to be treated with respect— GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ! IT IS SO MANY OTHER DENSIST IN DOVER, DELAWARE! RUN AWAY !

I don't know where to begin to express my satisfaction with Dr. Kathy Redden and the entire staff of West Dover Dental. Everyone in this practice from Dr. Redden, the hygienists, the assistants, and the office personnel are a highly skilled group of professionals operating in an office environment that is impeccably organized and immaculately clean. As if that wasn't enough, everyone is so welcoming and charming each and every time I visit. Appointments are always available in a timely fashion and their fees are reasonable and clearly explained prior to each procedure. Another remarkable feature of this practice is the extraordinary prosthetic work done by the dental technicians working in concert with the dentists. The aesthetics and the structural integrity of the bridgework are so impressive. Since I am retired and without dental insurance, I chose the plan offered by the office which includes two cleanings per year along with x-rays and oral evaluations by the dentist. I am so glad I read the reviews and chose West Dover Dental. From registering to leaving, the whole experience was warm and friendly. I was filling out paperwork, my 2 year old was getting bored sitting in his stroller, and the waiting room was empty except for us. So the lady at the front desk, bless her, came out and entertained my boy. Talked, read to him, just did a fabulous job with him. I had my 2 older children there, and they were seen simultaneously at the same time (at my convenience); the entire staff worked with me, making sure I didn't miss a beat with either of my kids and then watching my toddler so I could make 2 separate trips to the bathroom (I am also 8 months pregnant). In a nutshell: I had my hands full and never once was made to feel like a burden to a single member of the staff. I am so very glad there are such things as reviews and they prove to help make excellent decisions, like choosing West Dover Dental for my family's dental needs! Dr. Redden is an amazing dentist. She saved a tooth that another dentist totally botched which led to a root canal. I hadn't gone to the dentist for a cleaning or check up in years and finally I decided to go just to be safe. It was very easy to set up an appointment and they were right on time when I showed up. I had 3 cavities that needed to be filled and I was pretty scared. Between the thought of needles in the mouth and the drill I was freaking out. They set me up with some Bluetooth noise cancelling head phones and put on music for me. The needles weren't as bad as I thought they would be. My teeth never hurt before the fillings, but now they are kinda sensitive to ice cream sometimes.

I came in previously for a filling. After the filling I was unable to eat on that side of my mouth then I began to have sensitivity issues. I went into the office for an extraction but also mentioned the issue and the dentists only resolution was to use sensitive toothpaste because he couldnt figure out why there was an issue. The extraction was excrutiately painful, he provided numbing medicine through the whole procedure but it didnt help. He tried to extract my tooth for 30-45 minutes. I am still in pain days later. I will not return to this office for care.

My 4 year old daughter and I had appointments this morning. It was out first time there and my daughter's very first dentist appointment. Dr. Redden and the staff are so friendly. I do not enjoy going to the dentist and they made me feel at ease and kept asking if I was doing okay. They also were so great with my daughter that she said she loved it there and had so much fun. I have some nerve damage and sensitivity and they gave me a topical numbing agent prior to my cleaning. The office was also very clean and organized. I would definitely recommend this office!

I went there to get information on the yearly dental plan and the two young ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and made me feel like I wasn't a bother. From the first step in the door the staff geeets you and they escort you back to the front once your visit is complete. Once I forgot the connector for my iPhone headphones so I could listen to music while the work was being done and a sweet staff member went and got hers for me to use to ensure my comfort as much as possible. Was told February 9th 2016 that I needed 4 cavities by the female dentist. Then when i came to get 2 of the cavities filled on February 12th 2016 was told by the male dentist Dr. Pillsbury that there were only 2 both were filled. Then I was given a treatment plan which includes the breakdown of the insurance that will cover the treatment, which I was informed that once I paid the $120.00 my total bill would be for $165.00. I received my bill in the mail for the $165.00. As of today April 5th, 2016. I received a call from the billing office and was told my bill is $471.00 that I needed to pay and was remaining from my appointment on February 12th. I expressed thats triple of what you previously billed me, she says to me we base the billing on what your insurance company tells us, and its an estimate, i expressed an estimate should not triple if you had previously spoken with Insurance company to verify coverage. Horrible billing, and not to trusting on what the female dentist says. Overall, this office is way more about the money than the care, my insuance company said that they are charging way above what the average dentist is charging in my area, thats why the insurance paid what was reasonable.

Was dileriously and out of my mind in pain and they did the extraction thought i did due diligence in asking price ended costing just sht of 400.00 dollars for 20 minutes of lip service and 15 minutes of chair time with new patient quote of 145 for xray and paper work so didnt realise it was 250.00 just fo the extraction that is absolutely ridiculous.(got me once shame on me) .

Absolutely AMAZING experience for my 6 year old daughter today !!! Unfortunately she had to get a back tooth pulled. The doctor and nurse were absolutely stunning!!! She didn’t even realize she was getting a tooth pulled by the time she did it was over. Such a pleasant experience!! She didn’t even cry !! Thanks WEST DOVER DENTAL For your outstanding office of workers!! Also this was a CALL IN appointment and they not only fitted her in but got her tooth extracted today as well!!
