This is the greatest dental office that I have ever been too. I had a horrible experience at a different dentist and this time I decided to read the reviews before I chose my next dentist. Dr. Chamish is the best, I have a hard time getting needles however when he used the needle in my mouth I didn't feel it at all. I used to dread having to go to the dentist but when I have to go I actually have no fear now. The staff is also wonderful: Carol, Maria, Lissy and Candy are amazing. When I came in for my second appointment everyone already knew who I was without a mention from me. If you are looking for a new or better dentist, this is the place to go

I am a first time patient of New Castle Dental. I called about 3 weeks ago for a routine cleaning that was long over due. I am not a fan of the dentist the least bit. I am talking SEVERE ANXIETY! Lauren was my hygienist and she was AMAZING! She knew my fears and she was wonderful she told me what she was doing each step of the way. I think this was probably the only time I wasn't holding on to a dentist chair for dear life. lol Dr Chamish came in and he was as equally calming, even though I have to go back for a filling I am not at all stressed out about it. If you are looking for a new dentist this is the place you guys wanna go, From the front desk ladies, to the hygienist (a friend of mine see's another girl and loves her) to the doctor. AMAZING and coming from me that means a lot!

Dr. Chamish and his team at New Castle Dental Associates are fantastic. I first went to Dr. Chamish over 3 years ago when I needed a tooth extracted and, quite frankly, just needed a new dentist. I mentioned that I had a difficult time chewing food and the process of chewing took so long. He listened to me and diagnosed the problem--I had an improper bite which caused severe wear and abrasion on my teeth. At his recommendation, we came up with a long-term treatment plan which included braces (referral to a local orthodontist) and afterwards, extensive reconstructive procedures to repair my worn or broken teeth. It has been 3 1/2 years since the initial consultation with Dr. Chamish, and the treatment plan was successful. I now have a beautiful smile and a correct bite. Because of unpleasant dental visits as a child, I am quite hesitant to trust any professional with dental work. I can confidently say that I trust Dr. Chamish to provide expert, pain-free dental experiences that produce good results. All of the staff at New Castle Dental Associates are professional, friendly, and extremely helpful, beginning with the gals at the front desk, and including the hygienists, Dr. Chamish, and his assistants. I highly recommend New Castle Dental Associates for both routine and complex dental procedures.

Dr. Friedberg is fantastic. I went in for a toothache and needed an ASAP root canal. Though he had other patients and I ended up staying longer than my appointment was probably slated for - I never once felt ignored. He was caring and kind and even called to check on me the next day and I was 100% pain free. The assistant Stacey was fantastic as well, she never left my side and was very compassionate, which helped so much with my anxiety about dental work.

Instead, he is always sharpening his skills by attending industry events, advancing his dentistry education, meeting with peers to share best practices, etc. In addition, he sincerely cares about his patients. I travel for a living and over the years when an unusual event took place with my teeth he was always there to assist, regardless of the day or time the situation occurred. Carol at the front desk makes all the patients feel like a million dollars when they come in, defuses concerns with those who are nervous, and has the patience of a saint with the endless stream of phone calls from clients with questions. Amy has been my dental hygienist for as long as I can remember & it’s because of her professionalism, passion, experience, & knowledge. 3 things are important to have in life, a good dentist, doctor, and mechanic. The 2 star is for the office staff.. my husband wanted to have dentures done , but the lady in the office was so rude that we decided to go Christiana Dental. The office refused to speak to his wife on anything, in which I do everything on regards to payments, care credit ... Because of that they lost $7000 in business.... My husband was on speaker phone and gave permission to speak to me .. I git fustrated with the lady , she said " don't speak to me in the tone "... She was an older lady ..and very very rude.. If u can't handle customers, stay off the phone , she set the vibe for the business.

New Castle Dental is by far the best dental office I've been to. I was nervous to go to a dentist seeing as how I had not been to one in 15 years but when I started having tooth pain a friend recommended this place. It turned out to be a great experience. The staff is excellent and very nice. There was no wait time for my appointment when I got there. Dr. Chamish took great care of me and is a magician with Novocain. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Tooth pulled, Dr. Chamish called. Just checking, He said. There are three insurance specialist that greet you. I have known Carol the longest. All three will keep you informed about your coverage. Also done in house, new dentures, relining and repair. Idalis is GREAT. I highly recommend NCD.

The doctors and dental professionals at New Castle Dental are awesome! Friendly, yet professional, they keep me informed of what they are doing while they are working. They let me know where I stand when it comes to co-pays prior to each visit-no surprises. I referred my nephew to NCD last year-he needed a cleaning prior to having pacemaker implantation surgery. Just moved to DE and looking for a dentist. Based off the reviews I figured I would come here. The reviews are completely true. The parking is great. The office is very clean and organized. The first time office forms can be completed online which cute down the time substantially. The receptionist are very kind and helpful. The dentist (did not get his name, forgot) took care of my issue immediately. I was in so much pain as I entered, but as I left I am in a better spot. I do have to come back for more work but the entire experience is absolutely 5 star service.

Love this office. The staff are very polite and accommodating. I'm not a fan of dental work, and my hygienist does her best to keep me comfortable, during what I feel is an extremely uncomfortable situation. Because of their care and response to my concerns, I continue to go for my check ups. The office is clean, equipment appears to be state of the art. Dr. C is very thorough when explaining what's going on with your dental health. They are also respectful of your time, it is very rare to wait long before being called back. The only downside is that you have to pay what your dental insurance doesn't cover. For example, if your insurance says $125 covers a filling but their price for a filling is $140, you pay the difference.

New Castle Dental is by far the best dental office I've been to. I was nervous to go to a dentist seeing as how I had not been to one in 15 years but when I started having tooth pain a friend recommended this place. It turned out to be a great experience. The staff is excellent and very nice. There was no wait time for my appointment when I got there. Dr. Chamish took great care of me and is a magician with Novocain. Dr. Chamish is my dentist, almost 30 years. Amy is my registered dental hygienist. She is quite thorough. I highly recommend them both. They both keep you informed. I trust them. Just moved to DE and looking for a dentist. Based off the reviews I figured I would come here. The reviews are completely true. The parking is great. The office is very clean and organized. The first time office forms can be completed online which cute down the time substantially. The receptionist are very kind and helpful. The dentist (did not get his name, forgot) took care of my issue immediately. I was in so much pain as I entered, but as I left I am in a better spot. I do have to come back for more work but the entire experience is absolutely 5 star service.

Love this office. The staff are very polite and accommodating. I'm not a fan of dental work, and my hygienist does her best to keep me comfortable, during what I feel is an extremely uncomfortable situation. Because of their care and response to my concerns, I continue to go for my check ups. The office is clean, equipment appears to be state of the art. Dr. C is very thorough when explaining what's going on with your dental health. They are also respectful of your time, it is very rare to wait long before being called back. The only downside is that you have to pay what your dental insurance doesn't cover. For example, if your insurance says $125 covers a filling but their price for a filling is $140, you pay the difference.

After my first visit last week, I was emailed by the New Castle Dental Associates practice to provide a review about how I felt my visit went so I did, I wanted to take a minute to share the review I sent to the office, with the public because the office/practice deserves to be recognized, praised, and recommended. Obviously, minus the terrible pain I was experiencing from my dental problems which brought me in of course, my entire office visit experience was nothing short of perfect. From the ladies at the front desk being awesome as far as getting me in right away plus dealing with my billion questions mostly due to my lack of sleep and not being able to eat for almost 2 days from my tooth issue, but to be honest, dealing with me in that state, couldn't of been easy but still, they were nothing but kind. My hygienist was fabulous. She also was forced to deal/handle me in my sleep deprived and lack of eating not to mention severe chronic pain state. I unfortunately am someone with too many medical issues and my Rheumatoid arthritis plus cervical herniated discs cause me to be in daily constant pain but honestly my tooth with exposed nerves was like nothing I've ever dealt with, it was the only thing I would compare to the extent and extravagant pain level just like having an infected and obstructing kidney stone, nothing I could do not even pain medicine could even take the edge away, not being able to eat or sleep wasn't the worst of it. My sinus congestion that comes this time of year because of the constant weather changes & ragweed pollen prevented me from breathing through my nose so I had no choice to breath through my mouth and the air from every breath even hurt me. But just like the office ladies, my hygienist was nothing but kind and nice. In addition to all of that, I informed her that despite all I go through medically, I actually have a very obvious and direct fear/phobia of the dentist due to a traumatic experience with an abscess tooth when I was around 11 years old and for that reason, besides having my wisdom teeth removed before surfacing at 17, I have been in fear of going to the dentist ever since. And when she saw my mood change to what was clearly uncomfortable scared panic & anxiety she made sure to check on me constantly to confirm I was okay. I really appreciated her attentiveness and just the fact she cared. Dr. Friedberg, first, lets just say if I had a dentist like him growing up, I would have NO sort of phobia, fear or anxiety of dentists' and my teeth certainly would not be in their present condition. I was referred to him by my grandfather who is the hardest man to please let alone is the most unlikely person to give praises unless they are emphatically earned and truly deserved. But everything my grandfather stated about Dr. Friedberg was accurate and all though I am now one molar short, I am glad I had the pleasure of finding and going to the New Castle Dental Associates office. I can't say enough great AND FACTUAL things about each person I met and was assisted by that day. I know from a very immense amount of experience, just how rare it is to find a practice /office where every employee, from the administrative office staff to the RN'S/PA/medical assistants/hygienists all the way to the doctors is absolutely amazing and fabulous, and the New Castle Dental Associates practice is/has exactly that. Not only because of the office being huge fellow animal lovers like myself, but because of my entire experience, I will be going back for all my dental needs and I definitely intend to refer them to anyone who asks me if I know of a good dentist going forward.

This location was able to get me in same day which I really appreciated due to the amount of pain I felt. Upon arrival, my issues were addressed and the problem was resolved. BEWARE! WILL MAKE CHOICES FOR YOU WHILE YOU ARE ASLEEP. I will say, when I first found NCD, I was so refreshed. Everyone was so nice and kind. I have a bad history with the dentist, so I needed sedation, which is why I made the 2 hour drive to NCD. I was crying my eyes out after my xrays because the dentist had told me I needed so much work done (my teeth were bad from when I had radiation) and Carol comforted me, which meant the world to me. Carol told me that all together the work would be around 3,000 dollars and some change after insurance. We applied for care credit and was approved, so all good. When I came a week later for the work, they took me back and couldn't even get me sedated... they had several people (including the dentist) try to find a proper vein and couldn't, so they just made me chew up some pills that put me to sleep. The dentist had previously told me he would only be doing 3 root canals and 4 fillings in this sitting. When he was done, I went home and all was well. I received my first bill from Care and paid it, it said I owed 3,700 dollars- as expected & NCD sent me a bill also just saying that all had been sent to Care credit so we were all good. A month later I was sent another bill from NCD for 2,700 $. Thinking it was an error, when I called, they informed me that I was being billed that because my insurance wouldn't pick it up, even though Carol had told me, my insurance was going to cover and I even still have the paper work stating it was all together going to be 3700... for all the work! Now I was being billed 6,000 dollars for one dental visit. Including the sedation that they couldn't even do because they didn't have any staff competent enough to find a vein. Basically, when I was asleep from the pills the dentist had me chew up, they made decisions for me that I never agreed to. They gave me 11 fillings and chose the most expensive filling, didn't even ask me the option. Long story short, I know they delete all their negative reviews to make themselves look better, but this place is corrupt! They did something that I have read about in the news, but never experienced. They took advantage of me when I was asleep, and they took advantage of me when I was vulnerable from having cancer at 17 and my teeth were deteriorating and they knew I was desperate. NCD puts on a very nice front, especially Carol.. she comforted me and made me feel so blessed to find them. Now I wish I never had went, the whole reason I went was for the sedation, and they couldn't even do it. Save yourself, go anywhere else! I am 22 years old and a cancer survivor, something I have been self conscious about is my teeth, only reason i went here was because of the sedation part, and they didn't even sedate me!! I wish I would have went anywhere else, so far in life, this is one of my biggest regrets. As a social worker, I can't imagine looking a client in the eye, lying, comforting them knowing I'm going to screw them over, and all while they are in a vulnerable spot. Never, I would not recommend my worst enemy to come here.

I received my first bill from Care and paid it, it said I owed 3,700 dollars- as expected & NCD sent me a bill also just saying that all had been sent to Care credit so we were all good. A month later I was sent another bill from NCD for 2,700 $. Thinking it was an error, when I called, they informed me that I was being billed that because my insurance wouldn't pick it up, even though Carol had told me, my insurance was going to cover and I even still have the paper work stating it was all together going to be 3700... for all the work! Now I was being billed 6,000 dollars for one dental visit. Including the sedation that they couldn't even do because they didn't have any staff competent enough to find a vein. Basically, when I was asleep from the pills the dentist had me chew up, they made decisions for me that I never agreed to. They gave me 11 fillings and chose the most expensive filling, didn't even ask me the option. Long story short, I know they delete all their negative reviews to make themselves look better, but this place is corrupt! They did something that I have read about in the news, but never experienced. They took advantage of me when I was asleep, and they took advantage of me when I was vulnerable from having cancer at 17 and my teeth were deteriorating and they knew I was desperate. NCD puts on a very nice front, especially Carol.. she comforted me and made me feel so blessed to find them. Now I wish I never had went, the whole reason I went was for the sedation, and they couldn't even do it. Save yourself, go anywhere else! I am 22 years old and a cancer survivor, something I have been self conscious about is my teeth, only reason i went here was because of the sedation part, and they didn't even sedate me!! I wish I would have went anywhere else, so far in life, this is one of my biggest regrets. As a social worker, I can't imagine looking a client in the eye, lying, comforting them knowing I'm going to screw them over, and all while they are in a vulnerable spot. Never, I would not recommend my worst enemy to come here.

SCAM ALERT! I went into the office for a toothache, they told me I would need to have a root canal done. They said I would need to come back for about a 2 hour appointment to have the actual root canal done but that they would put a temporary filling in that day to relieve my pain. Well fast forward to a month down the road and I see they charged my insurance for the whole root canal and have been paid for doing it. I call to ask them about it since all they did was put a piece of clay over my tooth and got $1400.00 and they tell me "oh the root canal is done." DONE?! I was not happy with even the temporary filling they did and planned on going to another dentist to do the root canal. Now literally all of my dental insurance is used up for this year on a clay filling. I am contacting my insurance company for fraud and BBB. STAY FAR AWAY!

Melanie is sweet and professional, knowing her job well and is more than an asset to Dr. Chamish. Dr. Chamish is more than personable and courteous with caring and sharing his knowledge in a layman's way where understanding is made easy. Dr. Chamish even calls you in the evening after your procedure to check on how you're doing. I thought those days were gone. The entire staff shows expertise and quality in their profession. In today's world of changing insurance coverage and higher deductibles they work with you to make your experience a good one.
