I found them by just walking by the office. I was happy to get a quick appointment, however, when I came in for my first visit, I not only waited an hour to be seen, but the dentist came in, looked at the x rays i handed him, told me that I had 8 cavities and left. There were no time for talking or consultation...when I got to the front desk, I was told that I actually had 10 cavities and needed a deep cleaning. I was also given prices on what it would cost to have this work done, considering I have not a dental plan/insurance. I then, came back for the first half of my mouth to be filled..another dentist (never introducing himself or speaking of his plan of action) came in and began numbing procedures and left the room again. After completing the first half of the work, the front desk manager came to me and told me that the prices that I had been quoted on the previous visit were wrong and if I want the second part of my mouth done, I had to pay and extra $420.00 for the fillings. I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy. They are not only crooks, but they have no sense of customer service.

This office is absolutely amazing. I've worked customer before and this office absolutely defines that. From the front desk, to the doctors. Five star service. Not to mention the office manager Cristina is hands on and truly wonderful with the patients. I will never go to another dental office. American Family Dental Care is the best.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the customer service given to me by Dr. Ray Solomon and Akash at American Family Dental. I had a procedure done by this office in July during a time at which their credit card machines were down. I had to pay in cash instead of using my HSA account card. Months later, when I am attempting to get reimbursed by my HSA company, I find out America Family Dental took my CASH and never billed the procedure to my insurance....meaning there is no receipt of the procedure ever taking place. I have been trying to reach this office for over a week now and no phone calls have been returned. UPDATE: Three weeks later......and still no reimbursement. I've called & called and am always given the run around.

They booked me at the wrong location, then when I asked them to rectify the situation they informed me that I could have another appt scheduled for a month later. So, I choose an early morning appointment and I arrived before the staff. They were late. Didn't provide any protection while cleaning teeth, causing my glasses to become soaked after hygienist finished. Dentist walks in tells me that my teeth need several fillings within a span of like 5 minutes and left; not providing time for questions or comments. 1st time I went to get a copy of my records, they printed terrible photographs that my new dentist couldn't use. Called to get digital copies of the xrays emailed to me, and they placed me on hold for over 8 minutes. Called again the next day to have them email them, and I was told to call back tomorrow. No customer service mindset.

Called to make an emergency visit and was refused. The secretary told me to go to the ER!!! I called hours before closing and they still refused to see me. Not to mention the fact that the first lady I talked to was very rude to me.

Stay away. Horrible customer service. These people do not give a crap about their patient. Incompetent, unprofessional, and sloppy people work here. I would not trust this dentist.

Be very careful this dental office is all about profit and will not guide you in the right direction. I went there for one thing and these people kept suggesting procedures that would cost me thousands of dollars that I did not need and could not afford. My belief is that they have the wrong office manager that uses sneaky tactics for patients to spend money they don't have they need to get rid of this guy he's a scumbag. They have worst receptionist ever, very unprofessional and have no business answering the phone or dealing with patients period. I am currently assigned to that office due to my insurance but once my root canal is complete I will switch to a different office they better pray this root canal is successful.

Nilesh (an Indian receptionist) is so rude and clearly prejudiced for whatever reason. I explained how my GPS took me to another location and apologized for arriving past my 5 minute window. He not only ignored my phone calls (7 of them) but when I arrived, there was a lobby with exactly two clients in it. He never gave me the address when I initially called which ultimately is the reason why I was sent to the wrong location. I don't know this man but a person employed at a practice should not be unconditionally rude with no premise. I asked for his last name so I could speak to the office manager regarding his behavior and he refused to give it to me.

Upon arriving at the office. I was greeted by the young lady behind the desk. She was very personable and polite when requesting information. The office seemed tidy and clean. Overall, my experience was great! The staff all around seemed to be knowledgeable and very professional.

I went to American family dental care p.c on city Ave. When I came in I realized it was the same young lady on the phone and she greeted with a smile and was extremely polite and professional I even seen that the patients coming in and out knew her by name. she really knows these patients and everyone seemed to be smiling after talking to her Which I thought was great! She Seems to take ge time to get to know the patients which makes sense because there in the waiting room with her each time they come. The staff in the back extremely patient with me and I told them I was nervous and they comforted me the whole time making sure I was okay. They treated me like I was someone they have know for years and I appreciated the staff in the back of the office for making get extra effort especially cause I can be difficult ! They were amazing to me. When it came time to end my visit I spoke to the Young woman that was the manager and she was out of this world!!!! She as well greeted me with a smile and went over everything that had to do with my payments. She accommodated me in every which way for payments and explained in such depth. Because of the manager I left understanding what I needed and how the prices were determined. I could tell she has been doingthks for a while and she made me so comfortable and confident with getting my work done with this Office. And for me to say this is a huge deal because I kept jumping from office because I didn’t like the way I was treated and I always felt like I was being jipped. I recommend these girls to anyone looking for a new office.

I actually had a great experience here. Not only was my cleaning up to par, but, unknown to me, we found out that my insurance hadn't kicked in yet. They were nice enough to wait to submit the bill until after it had. Also, they didn't push all the extra expenses that some dentists do.

I love this office. I was a little up and down with them but now that they have a new manager, it seems so much better in there. The front desk has been there for years and she has always been great. The doctor is great as well. He is the only doctor i see for dental work. Wouldnt go no where else. Good job and looking forward to the next visit.

Had a 1130 appointment today & called to let them know I would be late because of a ramp on 76 being blocked. She said they give a 15 min grace, I was 17 mins late & they wouldn't see me. She should have said if I was later then that then I would have to reschedule & saved me a trip in traffic. I will not be using them anymore neither will my gf who goes there & her kids that were about to start. I saw 2 recommendations on Facebook today alone for dentists but obviously won't recommend them ever again. You shouldn't treat your patients like that, its hard moving through the city at times & i left work early to go

Please don't go here, the receptionist is very rude and doesn't make you feel welcome at all. She stays on her iPhone all day. My first time going I got a filling that came out 2 days later. I would not go here. I found a wonderful dentist at 2nd & Chestnut called I-Dentical. They are very nice and do great work. They make you feel welcome. They fixed my filling and it looks great , way better than this place. They take PPO & DMO. TELL then Javon sent you.

American Family Dental Care consistently charged me several hundred dollars more (about $600 more) for a crown, than the going market rate for the same service elsewhere. They take advantage of the fact that most clients, if not all, really don't know how much dental care is suppose to cost, and therefore engage in exploitative and eye gauging practices. For example, they billed me $1,200 to replace a crown. I paid the price not knowing any better and trusting American Family Dental to be both reputable and honest. I later went to another dentist for the same exact service on a different tooth and was only charged $600 for far superior service (the whole process was done within two hours on the same day as opposed to American Family Dental which required me to make a couple of appointments both lasting several hours each.) The take away message is that American Family Dental, while providing services that are mediocre at best, routinely engages in exploitative business practices. I read the negative reviews and still decided to go to this place. I guess I get what I deserve. Avoid this place at all cost unless you want to pay double for services and waste time! I'm reporting them to the better business bureau!
