my wife had a cavity removed and a few days later she had to have a root canal done on the same tooth because the doctor didnt take the entire decay out. I and the my insurance company were billed for the initial service and then again for the second service. i later received a bill for an amount the insurance company didnt cover all though i paid my portion at the time of service. i believe the first procedure should have been credited since the issue wasnt corrected properly but the office manager refused to allow the credit. I believe had the procedure been properly performed there wouldnt have been a need for the second procedure but as it appears this was cleverly thought out to perform both procedures instead of just the initial cavity removal. questionable practice procedures at work here. to add insult to injury they turned my case over to a collection agency when i told them i wast going to pay the bill since i had already paid my co-pay at the time of service. now my credit score is going to be impacted because of their fraudulent greed.

American Dental Care goes above and beyond for my family. We are a family of 6 and they always make sure they accommodate ALL of us. They have exceeded my expectations. Very helpful and friendly. Willing to do whatever it takes to make sure we get the most advanced and efficient dental care. Dr. Patel has made bringing my 7 year old easy.... He was so scared to come to the dentist until we started coming here. I recommend him to friends and family all the time. The hygienists are amazing and personable. They come to work because they enjoy their jobs. To them it isn't a job it is being part of a family. They take time to listen to my children and interact while performing the job. Awesome Experience! I have always been terrified of dentists. Now that I'm in the middle of a dental crisis I had to come to one. I came to the right one. Everyone here, from the receptionist, to the hygienist, to the doctors, has been completely understanding. They took the time to explained everything. They made sure I was comfortable and alleviated all of my fears. Everyone was super nice super, very welcoming and, non-judgemental. They came up with a comprehensive and flexible care plan very quickly. I, so far, would highly recommend this place to everyone!

5 STAR DOCTORS & 5 STAR STAFF!!! I recently became a new patient to this office. I instantly noticed how caring the staff and Doctors are at this location. If I had any questions or requested additional information, each Staff member would take their time to make sure that I understood the answers and explained with great details. My first scheduled procedure, included 4 molar extractions all on the same side. I was terrified & extremely nervous that pulling 4 teeth consecutively would be unbearable for me using only Novacaine. HOWEVER, I did not feel a thing. The doctor was so delicate and fast that before I knew it, the teeth were pulled and the stitches were in! Always a great experience!

The staff is very friendly, which helps to make the appointment a pleasant experience. Their new facility is great and located in a nice area, with convenient parking. They were able to clearly break down the cost of a filling to me as a patient after taking insurance into account, which I appreciated. I don't have anything negative to say, although on the 3 cleaning visits I've had so far, I had 3 different dentists. So if you prefer to have the same dentist at each visit, it would be a good idea to explicitly state this when scheduling an appointment. Just recently had Dr. Patel, who was very charismatic and professional!

I have bad sensitivity and get so nervous, but they make it a comfortable experience and fully accommodate me every time. They have many AMAZING fish tanks, which my kids love. I actually passed up pediatric dentists to bring my little ones here because they are so kid-friendly. Highly recommend.

The front office staff is very helpful. The dental hygienist are friendly and always giving suggestions on how to better care for your teeth for good dental health. The Orthodontist are nice also just wish they would do a better job at introducing themselves especially when you see a different dentist each time you come for dental work. Other than that I have been very satisfied.

I have had a horrible experience with their office and their office manager. I did not make a follow up appointment that they said I did ( they said I made it directly with the hygienist) and when I contested the no show fee was given the run around trying to talk to the manager over the no show fee. I am now being harassed by LAWYERS they hired to collect a $35 no show fee that they have since doubled to $70. I refuse to pay on principal and my entire family will no longer be receiving care at their practice because of this. I even switched to a more expensive dental plan just so I have more options of dentists so I don't have to return to this awful place.

First initial visit was good but went in to have work done today and it was GREAT! The hygenist cleaned my teeth very well. She was very personable and knowledgeable. When it was time to see Dr. Russo shortly after, I learned that there was nothing wrong with my tooth of concern. It needed some little adjustments to make me feel comfortable but that was it. He could have easily been greedy and do work on it but he was plain old honest .It's nice to know that doctors like this still exist. I recommend this office and staff for your family needs .

My first visit was great. But the 2nd and 3rd nothing but problems. I was waiting in the office after checking in for almost 2 hours. I went to the check in desk. She states oh your appointment is not untill 2.00. I had a text message confirming my appointment for 10:45 . Then i get back there and oh we're sorry the Dr is not available for consultation. So i had to reschedule i made sure the appointment was for consultation. I go back the following week just to get disappointed once again. Im sorry we set you up for a cleaning.. I had to ask for the manger. He meet with me and personally set up the appointment hisself. Which i was greatly appreciated! That went well. I go back to get the work done which im getting crows. Oh im sorry that Dr is not here today. So i had to have another Dr. My temporary crowns were put in. Which are super small causing me to speak with a lisp. The goal was to keep them in for 3 weeks. My appointment was scheduled for March 1. I get a phone call . Im so sorry but the Dr is not in. He will not be back untill March the 20th. I paid 1800. And i have to go 2 more weeks with these temporary crowns. Im so over this office

This used to be the best office; we really loved it here. In the last couple of years it has really gone downhill. Be ready for several calls to change your appointments as they fill gaps in their schedule (every. single. appointment.)! But the final straw for us was a crown improperly made that resulted in countless trips back to correct it. On one of these trips, the dentist accidentally damaged an adjacent crown, a crown he hadn't even put on. Another appointment to have that "oops" repaired. The worst part? We received a bill for the repair. We called to ask if the $56 was for the repair and were told it was (although now we're being told they "can't see the details in the notes" to confirm). We explained this was a mistake and that we would not be paying it. Many, many phone calls regarding the bill took place and I am flabbergasted that after all the business we gave them for a family of four, they will not waive a $56 balance. I paid it this morning as they threatened to send it to collections. The manager was "not available" when I asked to speak with him. The dentist was asked to call us - nothing. I paid it and I am FURIOUS. Thank God we moved our family to a better dental office after all of this. Apparently the practice has grown too large and patients no longer are the priority. Avoid.

I am a new patient at American dental office at Wolf Creek. I 've had Very positive experiences on each of my visits. The receptionist is friendly and courteous and always has a smile and hello. The dental technician is professional and does an excellent job during cleaning my teeth. The dentist was friendly to me when I had a filling done. He made me feel comfortable and at ease. The staff handling the billing works with me and my insurance company and are cooperative and professional. The offices and exam rooms and rest rooms are very clean and modern. I enjoy the lovely fish tanks dotted throughout the building. No problem with parking as the lot has plenty of parking spaces and is handicapped accessible. Overall as a new patient I give American Dental a Five Star rating.

Great office. Great location. The office staff, both front and back, have always been pleasant and very helpful from check-in to check-out. My hygienist made sure to explain what she was doing and offered some tips. I have seen several dentists there and they always listen to and address my concerns. Special shout out to Sam, who helped me check-out from my last visit. She made sure I had all of the information I needed regarding my dental care costs now and for future visits. She was able to provide me with the name and phone number of a dental insurance provider. I feel the entire staff always goes out of their way to make sure my visit there is a good one. Their only concern is insurance and payment. They called me and texted me, prior to my appointment "to verify I have coverage". This was not a first time appointment. I've never generated a bill or owed any money, at this practice; so that was highly offensive. Called for an appointment recently to see a Dentist. Specifically indicated it was a dental emergency and not a routine visit. Again, the whole conversation was about insurance and not my declining dental condition. I waited a week to be seen, all while in severe pain. A week later, on the day of the appointment I was actually scheduled with a hygienist for a cleaning. WHAT?! I never got to see a Doctor, despite a swollen face, bleeding flap on my gums, and extreme pain. Bait and switch is poor practice, when dealing with your sick patients who are in pain. Shame on this Dental Practice! That was definitely the last straw. Do not go here! It's all about the money and nothing is geared toward patient care or satisfaction. Plus, the exam room was filthy. I should note that I have multiple, active dental insurances, and could have easily paid out of pocket, same-day, if necessary for any service. Terrible, just terrible! This feels like borderline malpractice. We're done with American Dental!

I tried this place out for the first time to get my routine cleaning and it was good. So I decide to go back again for my root canal and they ended up not doing it well. When I went go to a specialist to get a second root canal he showed me that there was places that was not filled in properly. Next I went there for a fill in and that was not done properly also they had the dental assist do the fill in. They did not fill in some spaces and it is causing me to have pain in my mouth. So now I have to get another fill in on that tooth, I would highly reconsider going to abogher dentist unless you want to keep going to another dentist to get the problem fixed every time over $500 dollars spent to fix these issues that they could not do properly

I don't typically write reviews but I feel the need to share my personal experience at American Dental bc they truly brought happiness back into my life. I wasn't an easy patient - I was nervous about everything, embarrassed by how much work needed to be done, struggled to find time for appointments, and was extremely stressed over cost. Every single person in that office treated me with more kindness than I ever expected. I never felt bad about myself and finally had hope that I would be able to get the work done that I needed. The ladies in scheduling and billing were so accommodating. They found appointments right when I needed them. They took time to help me maximize my insurance and offered ideas that I didn't even think of. The dental hygienists were all amazing as well. They basically held my hand through out it all and kept me focused on the end result. I could tell they truly cared and took pride in their work. They didn't rush through things, they took time to explain processes, and they made me feel confident that I would be okay and didn't have to be nervous. And, I happened to see two of the Dentists in their practice and they are equally great. They both are extremely pleasant to talk to, they are positive, encouraging, and very good at their jobs. Dr. Fortin was the Dentist that completed most of my work and I cannot say enough good things about him. I had a lot done and it was pretty quick and painless. He was very down to earth and made the experience seem like it was no big deal. I can't even describe how happy I am with how my teeth look now. I know this is a long review, but I hope that someone else in the same spot that I was in, reads it and decides to take the first step and contact American Dental Care. I actually was too nervous to call in the beginning so I started by emailing their office manager, Kal. I could go on for days about how much I appreciate the help Kal gave me from the very beginning. He didn't let me back out of my first appointment, made sure I wasn't sitting in the back and waiting alone, and despite it being a very busy office, he spoke to me each time I came in. Everyone's kindness towards me meant more than they will ever know.

Chipped a tooth. Go in for xrays and a consult. No xrays, and told I just need a filling. Give me price for 3 side but they said it will probably be a 2 sided filling. Just wanted me to have a worst case scenario. Go in for my filling. Told nope, needs a cap, yet still no xray. (Same dentist that always tells me an expensive option, unlike the others in the practise). Since I need a cap i would need to reschedule since they didnt have e the time that day to start it. The two hours I took off for work are lost. My ex missed and appointment with my daughter and i had to pay them $50 for the missed appointment. That should go both ways or not at all. Today is Wednesday, and my new appointment is on Friday. They called me today and asked if i switched dental insurance. Yep, back to what i had when i started with their practise a little over 3 years ago. They told me they are a closed practise to that insurance and arent accepting new patients. Huh, im not a new patient. I did switch back to my old insurance that i had there a year ago. Well, they dont have to worry about accepting a new patient......me and my daughter are now former patients.

New patient. Slight wait time. Hygentist very professional. Series of XRays, then told would have to "come back". Both dentists busy. 45 minute drive to come here!. Almost out door, then told a dentist free. 5 minutes, flew in/out, no real exam, won't be back. No patient care at all!

Even though I hadn't been to a dentist in over a decade and had anxieties, the evaluation, X-rays and cleaning went super-smooth and painless. I live in Lewes and have been a client of this practice for over 5 years. I love the new location. The hygienists are very professional, explaining what they're doing as they go along. They've always been gentle, yet thorough. The dentists are also professional and the treatments I have received have been excellent. Everyone in the office has been friendly and pleasant about answering any questions that I've had. I have always received excellent care and I highly recommend this practice.

Just finished a year long project to have 8 implants to replace 12 teeth (5 upper & 7 bottom). The final teeth are amazing and throughout the process Dr. Patel and his staff were very professional and thorough. Dr. Patel explained each step of the process carefully. And the best part was that he quoted a fixed price, so I knew the cost up front and there were no surprises at the end. Dr. Patel's is clearly committed to a very high quality final product and is very meticulous in his work. Probably the best dentist I have ever had in 65 years.

Absolutely clueless and illogical front desk. Got call less then 24 hours until my appointment, saying they are having issues with processing my insurance. The person on the other end kept telling me that the insurance I have is only for federal employees(not true) and therefore it is not going through and I said to her my co-worker have the same insurance and having been going here for a long time. After a few tries no change in her argument so I told her, I can't come to the appointment. I was told there will be cancellation charge since I didn't notify them 48hr before the appointment, which I was never made aware when I schedule the appointment. Dentists seem top notch, but the idiots at the front desk are restricting people from accessing their services.

I normally don't write this type of review but in this case I felt compelled. Unfortunately while visiting family in Baltimore one evening I experienced a severe toothache. I suffered threw the night and called American first thing that Friday morning. Somehow they squeezed me for an emergency visit with a time that complemented my 3 hour drive home from Baltimore. Dr. Russel ordered X_Rays but detected no sign of tooth decay, loose caps or that of an abscess. But suggested that I was suffering from a gum infection below the root of a mueller and prescribed antibiotic for the infection and Ibuprofen for pain. I was also scheduled for an appointment early the following week. By the end of the day my pain was greatly reduced and by the end of the weekend, my pain was gone. The doctor along with his staff treated me in a most sensitive matter. I was far from my best.. Thank You American Dental!

This office decided to schedule my appointment without my consent. Calls me the day of the appointment while I’m working. When I told them I couldn’t make it and I never scheduled the appointment, I was told I was wrong and I would have a $40 charge for not canceling it within their time frame. NEVER will I attend this office again! Now, I’ll be disputing it and taking the action as far as possible until it’s cleared up!
