After years of being afraid of dentists, changing to Southington Dentistry has been one of the best things I could have ever done for myself. I suffer from PTSD and also have a panic disorder, so to find a dentist office that was as concerned about my emotional comfort as much as my physical comfort was honestly life changing. I ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE the nurses remembering throughout my whole appointment that I needed to have female company at all times. Even when it would have only been a minute alone with the dentist to grab a chart, that moment alone of compassion that she showed for me just by remembering my needs has made a lasting impact for me and taking steps towards taking care of myself. I can't thank them enough, thank you for not making me feel badly for crying out of anxiety and fear nearly the entire time, thank you for your professionalism, thank you for your patience and compassion. It's changed my experience with dentists from terrifying to comforting.

Wonderful staff. Very accommodating to anxiety and nerves. I went in after being long overdue for a cleaning and was very nervous. My gum sensitivity was too high to finish my cleaning in one sessions so we made a plan to break it up into smaller sessions. Both dental hygienist I saw were very patient and willing to take the time to make sure I was comfortable and pain free. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and want to help you keep your mouth as healthy as possible. I will continue to go here and will recommend them to my family and friends.

They are extremely good soothing your anxiety when it comes to the dentist . After having an absolutely horrible experience with another sedation dentist in the area I did my research and found Dr. Salesky at Southington Dentistry. I honestly feel like my prayers were answered. He really does care about you and the health of your teeth. He fixed a MYRIAD of problems that I had been living with, fixed work that had been done wrong by someone else and is completely fair with his pricing. He wants the best for you and will work closely with you to make sure you understand where every dollar is going. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to have an office that is so friendly and willing to make sure that not only do you understand everything..but that you are happy with it. I was EXTREMELY afraid of the dentist for many reasons and unfortunately I suffered for it. However I was not treated as anything less than a normal person. I wasn’t made to feel guilty or negative about myself in any way because of my dental issues. The staff will make you feel right at home and you can feel the sense of family in those that work there. They are so sweet, they love their job and it shows. Go here if you can. I would recommend no one else. Also, Dr. Salesky is the only doctor I have let do a filling on me (while I was conscious) in over 10 years!

I had a dental emergency, they got me in very quickly. I have no dental insurance, they offer a finance program that is most helpful. Dr. Salesky was so sensitive to my anxiety about dentistry. He fixed my immediate need, then went over a detailed plan about my future needs, to achieve a healthy mouth. We made a plan that was printed out, showing each step. Dr.Salesky is so awesome. He is understanding, compassionate, and friendly. His whole staff is the same way. I have never had such a great experience at a dentist office. I live in Middletown, but will drive to Southington Denistry, just for the way I was treated!!!! Ive been coming here for the last 2 years.The staff is amazing and welcoming from the second I walked in. The procedures are fast and virtually painless, and the staff are so friendly time just flies by. Avoid my initial mistake, their ad is in front of Wells Fargo but not the same plaza so don't turn into it like I did, the dentistry office is a bit hidden -- across from Nico's Pizza on the left

Where can I begin on my experience at Southington Dentistry. I was greeted by smiling, friendly faces at the front desk. In the waiting room there are adorable books on animals rescued from shelters that the practice donates money to, which was just so genuinely nice to see. The dental hygienist I had was beyond excellent. She thoroughly explained every step she was doing and made nice conversation. And the dentist was equally as thorough and kind. I have never had such a wonderful experience at a dentists office!! As someone who usually does not enjoy going to the dentist, this was such a pleasant experience. I had a loose filling in my mouth thinking not much of it at first my girlfriend encouraged me to go see the Dentist. She recommended Southington Dentistry... So I called and got an appointment the same day. When I got there the staff was amazing and very friendly made me feel like I belonged there. I was handed an iPad to check in, it was fast and easy. Once in the chair the doctor explained the whole process and everything we had to do to fix my tooth issue. Needless to say I found my new Dental practice and I will be referring everyone I know!! I have been going to Southington Dentistry for several years and from the first day I have been extremely happy. The staff have great energy and positivity. Dr. Salesky has done all my fillings with drill-less technology. I had broken tooth removed, a root canal, and a dental implant done in the same day which took less than 2 hours with no discomfort. Dr. Salesky removed the broken tooth and did the implant and said “You are all set.” My comment was “Cool you finally got the broken tooth out.” He replyed. “No your are all done. Your implant is in.” I was amazed on how easily he made everything.

Southington Dentistry staff do their very best to make me feel comfortable while I am in their care. They are some of the nicest, most caring people in the profession. They are very good-if your like me and hate going to the dentist and it gives you anxiety this is the place to go. I need a lot of work done and am doing it in phases and so far so good ..only one appt I felt discomfort but that was due to the procedure not the dentist. He’s great. I drive 45 mins to this place becuse of fist visit pain free and bad experiences elsewhere made me hate dentists. I waited to post until I had two visits to the dentist (6 month checkups). My experience with the hygienist, Marcy, was phenomenal. Every hygienist has their own methods, procedures, etc. She was gentle, my teeth didn't hurt afterwards, and I was really happy with my cleaning. She answered questions and explained everything thoroughly, and stopped when I needed to stop during the appointment as well. Dr. Riesman was also fantastic. I had two concerns which were answered with different possible causes, and he provided a suggestion for a possible solution. He asked me to call back in three weeks to see if it helped. He also followed up with me to see if previous work we had done solved a previous problem. He listened completely and thoroughly to everything I had to say and question. This is a great office. It's not a "drill, fill and bill" office. If they suggest a procedure and you don't want to do it, they do not push it upon you to do it. You can have a thorough conversation about each procedure and ask if it's really a necessity or a cause for long term concern. I should also add that when I have to bring my child(ren) with me, the staff has been very accommodating to helping me get through my appointment, as well as helping me keep them calm and entertained. I've only been at this office for 2018, but I am happy and comfortable and will continue to establish myself as a long term patient. Thank you!

This was my first time at Southington Dental and I have to say, I was BEYOND pleased with my experience! Everyone here was so kind and helpful! My hygienist was the sweetest and so knowledgeable. My dentist was so good about explaining everything that he talked about. It was the first time - in my WHOLE LIFE - that a dentist has asked me what my dental goals were. I mean, I didn't even really know I could have dental goals. I have always just shown up, let them clean them and fix any problems they told me about.. He guided me through different phases of what we should do in the near future and what we could tackle later to achieve those goals I had never really thought about. I am sincerely looking forward to staying put for a very long time!

The drill-less dentistry is amazing, no pain, no Novocaine, it's amazing! The ENTIRE staff is wonderful! They care about your comfort, your outcome and YOU! I no longer worry about going in, because I know Dr. Salesky and the rest of the staff is going to take good care and make sure there is no pain, no matter what. Even the cleanings are great! I scheduled my appointment several months in advance for a cleaning and exam. Once I was taken back for my cleaning, I was surprised to learn the doctor was on vacation, and I would need to return to the office once again for my exam. I was very disappointed that I had not been contacted in advance and given the opportunity to schedule a single appointment where I could have both the exam and cleaning. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very nice and helpful, but I feel that the doctor was unprofessional by his absence and managing of his absence. The doctor’s absence and the clear lack of consideration for the patient cause me to review this office more poorly than I expected.

Dr. Salesky is amazing. He just filled four cavities in less than an hour; with no drill, no needles, and no pain. He has undergone extra training in the field of Drill-Less Dentistry. If you are afraid of needles, loud noises, and of having vibrating tools in your month, then Dr. Salesky is your soon-to-be favorite dentist. Cavity filling is no longer a stressful and painful procedure. I was amazed at the result and shocked to learn today’s dental students are not taught this drill-less procedure in Dental School.
