The hygienists always ensure you are comfortable during the procedures. Yes - his rates may be a bit higher than insurance standards, but the quality of his work is always above average. BEST dental office I have ever been to! I have had work done by both Dr.Burstein and Dr. Macken and they are wonderful, professional, gentle and thorough. I have a paralyzing fear of the dentist and everyone in their office, from the front desk people to the assistants to the dentists themselves, go out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I live on the shoreline, but still make the trip up to South Windsor whenever I need work done. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else and recommend them absolutely!

This is a very clean and modern facility and more importantly I consider Dr. Burstein to be a dental "guru" of sorts. Dr. McMacken is top shelf as well as the rest of the staff. The equipment and technology used is all state of the art. My ONLY concern is they are in favor of a lot of procedures that are not covered by insurance and should be explicit and gain consent prior to doing them. You won't find better, more attentive dental care anywhere and I needed special care while be treated for oral cancer.

Dr. Burstein was recommended to me and I visited his office for a while. I got a little suspicious when he started recommending procedures that seemed unnecessary and some of them not covered by my insurance. At one instance, when I decided not to follow his advice, his assistant started pressuring me quite aggressively to change my mind. I went for a second opinion and the other dentist pretty much confirmed my suspicions. I've never visited Dr. Burstein's practice since, and I wouldn't recommend Dr. Burstein to anyone.

Due to a crazy work schedule it was always hard to get to the dentist even for major stuff. I had some unexpected time free up and needed a root canal. I was seen by Dr. Burstein and had the root canal completed that same day; even though he already had a full schedule. Then to my surprise I received a call later that evening from Dr. Burnstein himself checking in on me. From the moment you walk in the door it is a pleasant(or as pleasant as going to the dentist can be) experience from great receptionist to the techs and Dr. Burstein. Great facility, great services and great people. Thanks again.

The office was nice and they were friendly. However... After my cleaning they offered to make me a free mouth guard (i play Hockey) thought it was nice, i didn't ask for it but sure why not. Then right after being fitted for the mouth guard I was told it appeared i grind my teeth when i sleep and they were going to make me a night guard. I didn't really want it but ok.... Turns out it wasn't covered by my insurance and gave me the bill for $300 for the night guard. I felt deceived that it wasn't brought to my attention this wasn't a covered expense. Never wore the night guard, never went back to the dentist. I don't like that type of practice. They are nice and it was clean but i felt like they had given me a bait and switch and it was a bit dishonest even though i know as a consumer i should have asked first. That is why i give three stars for it partly being my fault.
