Despite prior tooth loss, I was very hesitant to have a titanium implant procedure due to body sensitivity to metals and dental anxiety. I researched my options over the course of several years. I found Dr. May on a Google search for natural dentists. I called after reviewing his credentials. His secretary Julia took a great deal of time with me and fully answered all my questions. I booked an appointment and his evaluation was very thorough. He recommended a treatment plan that included removal of several mercury fillings, the installation of a bridge, and zirconium (ceramic) posts instead of titanium. My experience with the mercury removal and insertion of the bridge was beyond my expectations. Dr. May and his whole staff talked me through it and encouraged me over and over. As a result I felt calm through the long procedures. They scheduled sufficient breaks which let me maintain my poise. They took extraordinary care in removing the mercury so the staff and I would not suffer exposure. His office crafts the bridge in-house so the fitting was excellent. I was surprised how much better I have been feeling with the mercury gone! I now look forward to the zirconium implants. I know I am in good and caring hands.

I just called to ask some general questions about the mercury removal process and if they used IV vitamin c during the procedure and the girl who answered was very rude, very short, kept cutting me off, and was not the least bit helpful. She just kept saying liposomal, liposomal, we use liposomal. I asked was that an oral vitamin c ? She said liposomal, yes oral, liposomal. She was so frustrating to bear that I couldn’t even ask any other questions so I ended up hanging up. I will not travel 14.5 hours to be treated like that !! I think all these 5 star reviews are hype or either they’re not from a place where courtesy and politeness are considered good customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this office whatsoever! Plus the fact that the website has copious amounts of misspelled and out of place words all over the place. And the video about the dentist is another dr telling about the dentist ? The actual dentist doesn’t even speak in the video or anything, I just gives highlights of all his awards and accomplishments and shows his picture ....Seems sketchy to me. Clean up your website and add a more personal video from the actual dentist, and while you’re at it, get a more polite receptionist to answer the phone.

Pauline is such a wonderful gentle hygienist. I've been going to her for years and wouldn't think of going to anyone else. I have sensitivity issues and was looking for a more natural approach for my dental needs. I think Dr. May and his team are a good fit. Everyone in the office is kind and people oriented. They accept care credit which helped to get some needed work done. They use equipment that promotes accuracy. I was given a flash drive of my initial eval when I requested it. The checkout process is smooth, I was given a detail of my billing. There is a big screen where I was sitting in the chair and you can look at your X-ray details. No stone goes unturned with this group. Trish is very very patient and understanding when I was doing intake. She also conveys information well. I have Pauline as my hygienist. Her hand scaling is flawless. She is very cheerful. She offered me a paraffin bath for my sore hands which helped. I requested that she use the lavender aromatherapy to help me relax. I was relaxed. Pauline is very knowledgeable when it comes to essential oils. She also updated me about supplemental k2 with my calcium and d3. This helps to distribute the calcium into the places it is needed, bones and teeth, instead of neck arteries. I also tried a new mouth rinse BR, natural. Am considering this. The reason for my Four stars is because when I had the oraquix applied, I need it to be applied in the the area of sensitivity, not smeared all over because it gives me a headache. I am hoping to resolve this as time goes on. I also don't care for the cold water rinses. I forgot to bring my own. Also Pauline checked the pH of my mouth, 7.5. I took some pictures of this and product I am considering. Dr. May needed to do some restorative/amalgam work. He used the charcoal instead of antibiotics. I have a small mouth and he was able to do the work without aggravating jaw clicking. I needed to get a mouth guard and he is very good about adjusting it so it doesn't irritate me. He is also very through. They do not have an inhouse lab to make mouth guards. I am grateful that I have found this practice and look forward to many years of happy dentistry. : ). I was moved to tears by Dr. May and staff. I am a retired woman who has been to maybe hundreds of medical professionals in my career. Between heart, kidney, sugar and blood pressure issues, I am every physicians worst nightmare and I said that on the phone when booking. I have a walker and am used to being shunned by medical staff. I cried at my first appointment because the kindness and care Dr. May and his entire team showed me was unlike any time in my life that I can recall. They made me feel human. They saw me. They heard me. Dr. May genuinely helped me. I am a widow and the staff ensured I had caretakers before my planned procedure and that all my doctors were notified and coordinated. My only difficulty was many online forms and in office consents and I can tell you they went above an far beyond any office with telling me risks and side effects and I laughed and said most doctors just tell me “I might not make it” and I’ll sign anytime but Dr. May and his team insisted going though all forms and have me initial and sign and oh boy it was so many forms and very serious talk on some risks. That just shows you they think of everything and leave nothing to the imagination. Whenever I park, someone runs outside to help me with my walker and doors. For whatever it’s worth, you won’t find anyone like this office and this doctor. If you want to be treated like real human being and want real medical care for your mouth, this is the only place to go. Thank you Dr. May for helping me and treating me with respect. Dr. May and his team are amazing! I went in for a cleaning and the hygienist was so educated and gentle. She listened to all my concerns and worked very well with Dr. May in treatment planning my case. I spent alot of time being anxious about getting the actual dental work done and when it came down to it, i was amazed at how easy going the procedure was. The assistant Laura was so considerate and awesome she explained everything to me and always checked up on me. They used essential oils which helped to keep me relaxed and I was able to listen to whatever music I wanted. It was overall a good experience.

It was painless and quick! So easy! Next I had a root canal tooth extracted and a cavitation repaired. A Godsend! The Best! I came to Dr. May over a year ago to have my amalgams removed under the IAOMT SMART Protocol after researching how bad they are. He performed a full assessment of my mouth. Since I had my wisdom teeth removed over 12 years prior, and looking over my overall health history he performed a cone-beam CT scan of my jaw. This uncovered that I failed to heal properly after having all wisdom teeth removed. Dr. May performed the amalgam removal procedure first. A ceramic crown was required for one tooth and he was able to image and produce it during the procedure. No temporary or follow-up required! The next sitting involved bone cavitation surgery on all four former wisdom sites. Dr. May and his team worked quickly and efficiently to get me through this procedure as comfortably as possible. After both surgeries I was closely monitored for proper healing. Since that time, I'm happy to report that my health continues to improve! I'm so thankful I found Dr. May! He has a helpful and kind office staff! If you're looking for a dentist who is an expert in a safe, holistic and a high-tech approach, see Dr. May!

She listened to all my concerns and worked very well with Dr. May in treatment planning my case. I spent alot of time being anxious about getting the actual dental work done and when it came down to it, i was amazed at how easy going the procedure was. The assistant Laura was so considerate and awesome she explained everything to me and always checked up on me. They used essential oils which helped to keep me relaxed and I was able to listen to whatever music I wanted. It was overall a good experience.

It was painless and quick! So easy! Next I had a root canal tooth extracted and a cavitation repaired. A Godsend! The Best! I came to Dr. May over a year ago to have my amalgams removed under the IAOMT SMART Protocol after researching how bad they are. He performed a full assessment of my mouth. Since I had my wisdom teeth removed over 12 years prior, and looking over my overall health history he performed a cone-beam CT scan of my jaw. This uncovered that I failed to heal properly after having all wisdom teeth removed. Dr. May performed the amalgam removal procedure first. A ceramic crown was required for one tooth and he was able to image and produce it during the procedure. No temporary or follow-up required! The next sitting involved bone cavitation surgery on all four former wisdom sites. Dr. May and his team worked quickly and efficiently to get me through this procedure as comfortably as possible. After both surgeries I was closely monitored for proper healing. Since that time, I'm happy to report that my health continues to improve! I'm so thankful I found Dr. May! When I drove up, he spent over 2 hours doing 3D imaging / CAT scans if my face, impressions, a full 3D presentation on a huge TV of my plan, and while I waited for everything to prepared for my viewing I watched a movie with fresh green juice and Nikki did Aromatouch Therapy on my hands. As a breastfeeding super healthy mother of a 10 month old, I had experienced tooth loss during my pregnancy and I specially wanted to have a metal free zirconia/ceramic implant. No metal as I know that metals can leach into my system and breastmilk. Luckily I found Dr. May's office - he is the best - he was so considerate knowing I breastfed and wanted to only use the most natural materials on me, although I did drive over 2 hours to see him. Amazing amazing amazing! One of the few times in my life where I will tell you YASSS!! Believe the hype! Dr. May and his office are INCREDIBLE!! 2 failed titanium implants with traditional dentists (Lots of $ lost too) in the past and then I meet Natural Dentistry’s warm staff, incredible concierge and the (oh so handsome!) Dr. May (swoon ;-) - the zirconia implants he places felt flawless since day 1 of surgery. By day 5, I forgot I had surgery done and Dr. May’s office said it’s the PRF (I think it’s his talent, technique, high tech equipment but the PRF helped I’m sure) Anyway, fast forward to whitening and then my beautiful crowns and I felt (and FEEEEEL) like a queen. My husband thinks that Dr. May has an “effect” on me since I’m loving my smile, I feel better, and I even lost weight after Dr. May’s diet change suggestions, and mostly I RAVE about him to my other half (a little too much perhaps hehe). I’m not sure whether my husband is jealous of the love I have for this office a la Dr. May the incredible biological dentist, or the money I spent l my awesome ceramic metal free dental implants. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. May and his entire staff. I was very nervous about getting my amalgams safely removed due to multiple health conditions I was concerned about flaring. His office takes every precaution in ensuring your safety and they take your exposure very seriously. They also helped ease my worrying and literally addressed every question that I had without making me feel like I was overbearing. Among all the physicians and doctors I have seen, it was the first time I was treated with respect for being an advocate for my own health, rather than an irritating patient. I am so glad that I made the trip from NYC to go see him. Dr. May also addressed multiple other concerns I had regarding my TMJ and he was able to provide some relief for me the same day as my amalgam removal. He spent so much time working with me, I almost felt guilty about taking up so much of his day but I realized its because he truly cares and wants to help as best as he can. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. May and his entire staff. I was very nervous about getting my amalgams safely removed due to multiple health conditions I was concerned about flaring. His office takes every precaution in ensuring your safety and they take your exposure very seriously. They also helped ease my worrying and literally addressed every question that I had without making me feel like I was overbearing. Among all the physicians and doctors I have seen, it was the first time I was treated with respect for being an advocate for my own health, rather than an irritating patient. I am so glad that I made the trip from NYC to go see him. Dr. May also addressed multiple other concerns I had regarding my TMJ and he was able to provide some relief for me the same day as my amalgam removal. He spent so much time working with me, I almost felt guilty about taking up so much of his day but I realized its because he truly cares and wants to help as best as he can. I could say many more positive things but my point is to stress that it is worth it to go see Dr. May from wherever you may be travelling from!

Best holistic dentist in CT. Period. I have been looking for a holistic dental practice for 2 years, and the closest was in Fairfield and they didn't accept insurance. Natural Dentistry accepts my insurance and was about $2000 less than what I was quoted form the Fairfield holistic dentist. I had removal of 4 amalgam mercury fillings and 2 of the teeth needed crowns. Dr. May created a 4 week protocol with supplements for me to detox before removing amalgams, once he removed them he put me on additional supplements to take for 12 weeks after (which seems a bit long to me) to help clear the mercury out of my system (it supposedly bio-accumulates over time). I drove about 1 hour to see him, and in order to not have me drive back for the crowns, he was able to do my crowns in the same visit. While waiting for the crowns (and during the amalgam removal), I watched a netflix movie right in the dental chair with movie glasses - which I've never experienced before. Then - the real moment of wow was when Dr. May brought some green juice - to help detox after the removal. Now that's what I call service. This guy is the BEST holistic dentist in CT and NY. Trust me - I've been looking for one for years and finally found the best there is. Much better than the holistic dentist we saw in NY. Dr May has his own CBCT equipment to take conebeams in office too which most NYC dentist sent me out for. Definitely bringing my wife and kids there and switching from our local dentist. Its worth the drive - believe me! I’ve referred my mom and dad here as well and they love him.

The good thing about this place is the ease of making an appointment via their website. Their constant e-mails and texts reminding me of an appointment were excessive, so I had to turn them off. I literally was getting an e-mail every week. I had a great experience with all office staff including Pauline, and Jamie. They were fantastic at their jobs, didn't rush me out and their cleanings were great and didn't hurt afterwards. However, Dr. May is the reason I won't return. Not only is he unprofessional and abrupt with patients, he was extremely condescending to me at an appointment (actually, more than one). Due to my work schedule, I needed a late appointment. I always went to a later appointment since driving over 40 minutes to their office after work. I arrived at my scheduled time and needed a filling. He not only rushed through the entire process, he actually stated to me "Well it is late and I am sure my staff actually wants to go home soon..." He laughed it off as if it was a joke, but it was not funny. I immediately stated I was here on time and ready for my appointment as scheduled, sorry you have "better things to do." Not only was this disrespectful, I feel his attitude is more geared towards making a buck and not actually giving a flying **** about your dental health. All of the holistic garbage, cute waiting room and essential oil diffuser's don't impress me. What impresses me as a patient is skilled, educated and concerned dentists that care about their patients. On a separate occasion, I was there for a cleaning and when I asked the hygienist where the doctor was to evaluate my teeth after the cleaning, they said "oh he went home already..." Soooo I went there to just get a cleaning but not see the doctor? What if there is something needed that he can AS THE DOCTOR tell me? He was there when I walked in, but clearly couldn't be bothered to actually stick around for the exam. This guy is a joke. Never mind that, I am almost sure he makes his staff push for unnecessary procedures so he can make a buck and go on high priced vacations. Either way- this place is great for the staff (hygienists and receptionists) they are extremely professional, unlike their fearless , disrespectful leader.

I wasn't sure what to expect because Dr. May has recently taken over the practice of our long-time dentist Dr. Victor Wallock -- but Dr. May is very quick and intelligent and tuned in to the patient. He is also thoroughly committed to dental care and the wellbeing of his patients. I needed to have a cavity filled and dreaded the procedure -- but Dr. May used a laser to do the job -- very little discomfort and very quick. He and his assistant coach every step of the way. The staff here are very friendly, I have not had any problems with them. The office is very clean and they have some pretty impressive state of the art equipment. But.... I had a procedure done here that has left me with more problems than I had before coming here. I now have severe jaw pain and pain in a few of my teeth. I don't feel that I was a good candidate for this surgery. I don't feel like enough about this surgery was explained to me prior to having it done. I ended up learning more about this procedure after having an extremely rough recovery. I wish I was better informed. Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend doing your own research for cavitation/ischemic bone surgery, especially if you are chronically ill and/or suffering from autoimmune disease. I don't know what to do now that I have these pain issues (issues that I NEVER, EVER had before this surgery) and I don't feel like Dr May has been at all helpful in trying to figure out why this has happened. At my last appointment he suggested that I use warm compress to deal with this awful pain. I feel like I unnecessarily spent a huge amount of money on a procedure that has given me nothing but problem. I regret this surgery quite possibly more than I regret anything else in my life. So be sure to ask lots of questions and go home and do your own research.

Zirconia implants were something I wanted after reading about the negatives of titanium implants and Dr. May is the only metal free implant dentist I found within 4 hours. His office knew more about ceramic dental implants than all the other offices I called in NYC and NJ so I knew he was going to be the top doc. I was so happy Dr. May places all zirconia implant brands, which means he’s not bought, and he chose the Zeramax ceramic implants for me. My surgery was smooth and I was back to working out within the week. Everyone in the office is always smiling and happy - you can tell its the right place. Dr May and his staff go above and beyond to provide quality care with the latest technologies. After 2 years of numerous doctors misdiagnosing my health issues, I switched to Holistic medicine and Dr May. My root canals and jawbone infections had compromised my facial nerve and overall health. My surgery was smooth and I was back to working out within the week. Everyone in the office is always smiling and happy - you can tell its the right place. Dr. May was one of the only dentist that could help get my smile right. I was rejected for Invisalign by 2 different dentists and once I heard of Dr. May from a friend I drove down to West Hartford and 3 months later my teeth are already almost straight. Until I found out that I didn’t have to get numb because they would be using a laser.. changed my life. Dr. May and his staff are such delight! Everyone is so warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. I spent the morning at Natural Dentistry today, and it was my pleasure. I had a hygiene appointment first with Julie. Julie is wonderful and my teeth feel so amazingly clean! I followed my hygiene appointment with whitening my teeth with Bri. She informed me of everything she was going to do so that I knew what to expect during the procedure. She continually checked on me throughout to make sure I was comfortable and was not experiencing any discomfort. She made the whole experience so easy and pleasant. I look forward to my next visit.

Dr. May is absolutely amazing and the best dentist in the USA. I traveled from abroad to see Dr. May to have my root canals checked for infections, bone infection surgery and cosmetic word. With his amazing 3D technology he diagnosed 3 draining infections in my root canals, treated with ozone, extracted abcess, grafted with PRF, and placed 6 zirconia dental implants. To be honest, this is the best decision I've ever made in my life - Dr. May is a genius, a humble gifted dentist and doctor with compassion and talent like no one else. My choice was Dr. Yuriy May in Connecticut USA or a famous ceramic implant dentist in Germany. This trip was worth every penny. I am coming back in March 2018 to have crowns and veneers done - he is the best cosmetic dentist anywhere and I have traveled the world and seen it all. His cosmetic work is both natural and flawless. Dr. May had limo service pick me up from the airport in Bradley Airport and also helped me make hotel reservations. His staff is compassionate, and he has a 24/7 patient concierge who answered all my calls and texts during night time (my day time in Belgium). I've never had service at a medical office like this before. Natural Dentistry is the Ritz Calrton of dentistry and Dr. May is a medical superstar. Dr. May is the best dentist in West Hartford/Farmington. My root canal had been bothering me for over a year and I went to 3 different dentists, all of who told me it was perfectly fine. Dr. May did 3D scan and told me I had cavitation and I started to treat the infection around the root canal and bad tissue. 3 months after seeing Dr. May in Farmington CT in new location, I am absolutely pain free and it doesn't bother me. I am so amazed at what Dr. May does and his technology. He is a talented dentist and really impressive holistic dentist. I am trained as a doctor and I he is very knowledgeable, much more than normal dentist. Because of my experience my family is now all seeing Dr. May, the best holistic dentist I know.
