My second experience after calling first thing in the morning to check the appointment and driving 40 minutes The hygienist decided to leave early. the building looks like a warehouse, folding screens separate the dental rooms. Old outdated x ray machine, which means you have to take 20 x rays to get a full view. Dentist told me i had cavities that i needed filled, and when i asked which teeth her only response was "Oh, lots." Set up a follow up appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed with a specialist, waited 3 months and the week before my appointment got a call from the specialist saying they no longer took my insurance. So, i called Columbia Dental back to get a new referral. I was told the dentist i saw only works one day a week and she has to give the referral, and i was asked where i was sent that stopped taking my insurance. When i asked her if she could just look it up, she sighed and said yes. I then heard typing for about a minute. i proceeded to ask her if she needed my name to look me up? Another sigh, like it was an inconvenience. I told her i have impacted wisdom teeth and that i'm in constant excruciating pain, so i really can't wait for the dentist to be back in the office to get a REFERRAL. I was told that i could then call other practices in their company to find her. RIDICULOUS, DEFINITELY USING A DIFFERENT DENTIST NEXT TIME.

I had an abscess tooth and didn't realize it until 2pm on a Saturday (and it was a holiday weekend) after working a third shift, were able to get me in for an energy appointment and follow up appointment the next business day. The staff was super friendly and understanding. The dentist even saw some of the previous work done by South main dental and is more than willing to help fix that as well. From now on, I won't be going anywhere else! Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience, I've never been happy with a dentist, but I am with y'all - thank you for making a miracle happen

HORRIBLE customer service. I scheduled an appointment for 5:20pm over a month in advance. The day of my appointment (11:45a) I received a voicemail asking to call back to confirm my 5p appointment or if I would like to come in earlier. When I called to clarify the discrepancy I was told I had NO APPOINTMENT AT ALL because someone was unable to reach me 1 day prior to my scheduled appointment to confirm. I can tell you that no one tried to contact me. When I went further for proof of this alleged call she was unable to give me any information. Do not call me hours before my appointment asking me to come in earlier only to say that I have no appointment at all!

AWFUL. Never before have I gone into a dental office and waited over 2 hours in the exam room for a 5 minute consultation. Not only that but the patient before me was being beraged by the dentist for wanting a tooth pulled by recommendation of the very same office, how bad can your communication be when 1 dented can not understand another from thebsame location. The Cherry on top though was when after 90 minutes waiting I went to the front desk to ask and was damn near yelled at and told to either go sit and wait in the back or be rescheduled. No apologies except from 1 dental assistant bin the back. Awful place awful service and the dentist's dont know what numbing means

I have been going to Columbia Dental for a couple of years now. I usually go to Manchester office. But the only slot I could find for the dentist I regularly visit, Dr. A was available in New Britain. So I decided to give this clinic a try. I really liked the New Britain office and found it better organized. As always, it was good to see Dr. A. She gave me a quick dental-exam, followed on previous issues I had, cleaning and I was good to go.

Horrible! Unprofessional! Apparently there "system was down " and couldnt take me for my appointment that I made 2 weeks before. They didn't even bother to call . I then gave the lady my number to call me when the system was back up and i can have my appointment and its a week later with no call. I'm not sure why this place is open . Let's shut them down

Columbia dental is nice dentistry but the have very poor time management, for example I had an appointment for 2:30 and I had to wait an hour and a half to get a cleaning, and the lady tried to make up for the time by asking me questions but I was mad. Overall my dentist was nice and I look forward to going again.

First time I went there, they were awesome. They fit me in when I had an emergency and even interacted with my 15 month old daughter to keep her busy while they worked on me. 2nd time secretary insisted I take an appointment I couldn’t find a sitter for and told me to bring her even though I knew it wouldn’t end well. My daughter ended up crying and an elderly dentist came up and yelled in my face while I was in the chair that my friend needed to ‘take that child outside the building until she calmed down’ he wasn’t wrong but he didn’t need to raise his voice and be hostile. They also neglected to mention that a 30 min cleaning would take 3 hours because it also included xrays and a consultation with the dentist, which I refused because of his horrendous attitude. I will only be going if the nice middle aged dentist is there because the other man has no concept of bedside manner and upset me and my daughter and offended me by his horrible behavior.

Very unprofessional. I've had teeth problems all my life and went in for something that's usually a simple fix, but was told it wasn't. I'm not a dentist but I've had this same problem a few times and no other dentist has given me the go around like this. So disappointed the one in Bristol and Manchester is not bad but would not send my cat or dog here. Also they are supposed to work out Payment plans but they stated they needed money up front for something my son needs done. Needless to say I didn't make a follow up appointment and I'm canceling my sons appointment is rather pay 100% more to a professional dentist office then ever step foot in there again.

I've been a patient here before, and last night I tried to make an appointment via their email. I got an instant response saying that they're closed and don't have any openings and that I can choose another location. I responded by saying that I was looking for an appointment for either Tuesdays or Thursdays and that I can't choose another location because I don't have a car, and this location is actually a block away from my house. If they don't want to keep their repeat patients, that's fine with me. I'll be looking into other practices that are less convenient to me.

Unbelievable experience here. It's been 3 months waiting for them to make my partial properly.. 4 times in a row it is wrong. They needed "one more week" to fix it, I gave them 2 weeks, to be on the safe side.. drove in a snow storm today to make my apportionment time.. 5 minutes beforehand they call to cancel because it still isn't ready. Will never come here again, waste of time and energy.

One of the worst dental experiences I've had. Came in for a regular cleaning. Xrays of new patients is standard, I know. But they xray'd me over a dozen times. The amount of times they exposed me to that was getting close to the total amount of xrays I've had in my ENTIRE LIFE. They just kept going and going. At my normal dentist they simply need three or four exposures to get a full image of my teeth, not dozens. The girl doing the xrays could work on her bedside manner. Obviously im not expecting a super bubbly personality or some sort of forced happiness, but from her monotone, short, and tires responses, it was clear she didn't want to be there (and now I honestly don't blame her). The "scraping" part was done with a drill tool that was painful at times. I didnt say anything about it so im not trying to say that they disregarded my pain or anything. My face was bombarded with water and teeth polish throughout the session. It was generally messy. They didn't really offer a means to spit all that polish out at first and I found myself trying to spit it all out on the way home. The guy who did the cleaning was cool and I don't really have any complaints about him. The best part of the whole experience was the woman at the front desk. She was nice and was willing to answer any questions I had, both on the phone and at the office. Basically you're coming here for the cheap price. But you definitely get what you pay for.

I got a couple teeth pulled along with some stitches and got nothing for pain and no after care instructions, no extra gauze (not that i was told i needed it anyways). I was told I "shouldn't be in much pain" and sent me on my way.. i took the tylenol before the pain started but Im currently in pain.

Did not like this office at all, I was treated very horribly. One, the receptionist didn’t read her notes before acquiring treatment would be covered by insurance. She just came out and stated “your paying out of pocket since this is a retreat.” She corrected herself though. Secondly, the doctor didn’t introduce himself or mention any steps he would take to retreat my root canal. I don’t understand dental language, since he and his assistant just had their side jokes about my canal; stating it was packed with gorilla glue && he needs a torch to finish it off. Not ONCE was I informed or alerted on what the issue was. I just put two and two together ! I wasn’t recommended to follow within a week. I was just told “we have to wait and see how your tooth reacts this second time around!” My issue wasn’t symptomatic from the start, I just needed my root canal packed fully so my insurance would approve my crown. Overall, I just felt like this issue being done in their sleep and not keeping me in the loop on what’s happening.

I made an appointment for today and was seen by a new dentist called Dr. Okoronkwo, the best. He worked with me until he hit the direct spot where it was hurting me . My experience was an in-depth crown procedure. I am very pleased with the results after multiple visits, issues, due to the first dentist leaving the practice. However, the current doctor stepped in (recreated crown) and maximized every effort to get my it to the lab. It looks fantastic because he made sure my impressions were correctly done and basically rebuilt my entire tooth! Well done. Thank you Columbia Dental.

I usually go to the Manchester office but I’ve gone to the New Britain office twice now for emergency visits. The dental assistants and dentists are great and I had a great experience with them however, the office staff was extremely disrespectful to the assistance right in front of me creating drama and arguments and were also extremely rude and unprofessional towards me. They were very cold and short with me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not be returning to that office specifically because of the office staff.

For the last 2 years of me being a client at Columbia dental it has been a shuffle of sending me to different offices all over Connecticut with 0 help only to be sent back to the Torrington one again. Now that I'm having a problem with an implant where I had jaw surgery all they did was take an X-ray and refused to help me so I'm very glad to say that I am leaving a horrible review because how dear a dentistry that's supposed to be so superb screw somebody out of so much money and then refused to help them when there's an issue if you take a Client on you'd also take all their needs in issues with in that building I will never ever recommend Columbia dental the only thing pleasant I can say about them is the woman at the front desk is Amazing and she was the only sincere person in every single office that I've been to affiliated with Columbia dental

I highly recommend Columbia Dental. I went in for a cleaning at one dentist and she got too deep in my gums and caused an infection. The throbbing pain was excruciating and I got no relief. I went to see Dr. Podrasky and, after a brief exam, he fully explained the situation, prescribed an antibiotic and ibuprofen, and two hours later I am already 90% better. His manner and informative explanation was so reassuring. I will gladly travel to his Torrington location from now on.

Horrible experience. I advise people to go to Horizon Dental in Southington.DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I had a cavity.. went to Columbia Dental, the Dr. Just sticks the novocaine needle in your mouth,doesnt numb the spot or anything. The dentist drilled my tooth, "drilled the cavity out", filled it. Then went to charter Oak Dental for a cleaning, asked me if I had any pain or anything and I told them that I still had sensitivity in the tooth that was filled. Took an Xray, told me there was still decay in my tooth. Went back to Columbia Dental, the SAME Dr. Told me that there was NO decay left in my tooth, and that the Dr. at Charter Oak Dental must've "Messed up" the filling, so he drilled again... and filled it again. Went home, flossed, the filling had come out due to decay STILL being in my tooth. Got sick of being thrown around, called my insurance company and filed a complaint against Columbia, and got referred to Horizon Dental, went there and had another xray...went back a few days later and had to get a root canal done on the same tooth that was drilled numerous times. If you are smart, please dont go to this place, the Drs. are absolute idiots and dont know what the hell they are talking about, I think they all need to go back to school. I am beyond livid and am getting to the bottom of this! No one should have to go through pain and suffering numerous times. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE this location!!! I go in for my cleanings and work with Dr. Inklee who does an amazing job and makes sure it's thorough. I have referred many people here with no complaints. My son who is 12 used to go to Kool Smiles in New Britain and I am not happy so I am moving him over here. I also have spoken with Danielle Helman who goes above and beyond to make sure that the patients are treated with respect and makes sure she can do everything she can to help. It''s not many places that treat you like this anymore. I will continue to go to Columbia and refer all of my friends and family. Keep up the great work!!!

I DO NOT reccomend this office! Too bad for the dentist because he was a sweet guy, but his staff needs to get it together. They weren't prepared, running around like crazy, only comforting when my aniexty made me cry, tools didnt work so couldnt clean my teeth, but lied and said it was because of my aniexty, paint and wood chipping all over the walls, almost forget to give me pain meds when I was checking out and then I go to read my after care instructions and come to find out they r in SPANISH! I CANT READ SPANISH! I will never EVER return. Very unwelcoming and VERY disorganized.

I had visited this office for the first time yesterday for a cleaning/ to schedule a filling for two small cavaties. (Which according to Columbia don’t exist at all.) Columbia told me I had a cavaty in a seperate area. Meanwhile none of my teeth are bothering me, & I’ve never had a cavaty before so I’m hesitant to believe anyone now. I had gotten a full series of xrays with an exam the prior week by a dentist who did not accept my insurance. Columbia seemed unhappy that I wanted to get my xrays faxed to them rather than taking them all over again.. I mean, xrays are uncomfortable/expensive/and honestly not great for you. The Columbia hygenist said (with an attitude) that it would take at least 20,000 or some ridiculous number to have any impact, but regardless.. if I was saying I would get them faxed why not just accept that? I haven’t had my teeth cleaned in almost two years and this was the quickest/ not very thorough cleaning I have EVER had. Took not even 10 mins. There wasn’t a single other patient in the office so I was a little confused what the hurry was. They were pushing for me to Schedule white filling rather than metal. Claiming it would be unaestetically pleasing.. meanwhile my cavaty is on the top back mollar.. Seemed like they were trying to do anything more costly. Definitely not the most welcoming/ clean office. I wouldn’t recommend to any of my friends. Anyways. summary of the story, I feel obligated to wait another 6 months to see ANOTHER dentist to get a 3rd opinion before drilling.

I had an appointment today. I showed up to the office. Nobody there, doors locked sign says open. I call the office, nothing. I call corporate and they tell me the Dr called out and cancelled all appointments. Thanks for the notice!

Called set up appointment had said specifically torrington booked for new Britain... then said the torrington office doesn't do that specific work i needed anymore. My friend took a half day of work to help my ptsd severe dental phobia having bum to this. Found front desk lady rude. She acted like we're dumb for using their own call center.

Excellent experience! My father's emergency visit was rescheduled a few times due to his severe disability. The receptionists were very flexible and patient with accommodating his needs. Then Dr Oraeki took fantastic care of him. While treating my father's particular problem, he addressed others, too, that should be taken care of in the future . It would mean coming again for numerous additional visits. Understanding the amount of effort that is needed on the part of a wheelchair dependent patient, Dr Oraeki took initiative! He was willing to help with other problems at once, while we were there. Between his scheduled patients he was helping my father. He did a very good job. The patient and I are very happy and thankful. Apart from his professionalism and a young age, Dr Oraeki expressed a lot of compassion, friendliness, care and understanding. He saved us a lot of time and energy. He even helped with transporting the patient to the wheelchair and to our car at the end of the visit. He is a very hard-working dentist with a great work ethics. :)

STAY AWAY! I should have sued this practice when they somehow messed up giving me the numbing agent for a filling. The whole right side of my face was numb and drooped for about 4 hours. Then, once the numb wore off, I was in agony. I couldn't open my mouth without pain and tightness for 3 weeks after my filling. 0 stars.

The staff is excellent Dawn did a great job as usual. My only complaint is when I made the appointment I was told it was covered by insurance and when I was prepared to leave I was told it was not covered and had to pay out of pocket. Would not have made the appointment if I knew I had to pay out of pocket. Other than that all went well.

I would like to Thank Columbia Dental’s Staff for being attentive to their patients needs. Today 4/18/2018. I needed to have some dental work done and I was quite nervous. The receptionist was friendly as always;the dental assistant took time to listen to my needs and the dentist took time to treat me as a person and not a number. I definitely RECOMMEND Columbia Dental. They all work as a team to treat their patients needs. Thank you.

Dr. Reza I believe that’s how you spell it he did an AMAZING job. Made me feel comfortable because I was so scared I started crying, and panic but he talked me through it on my first extraction. I was very happy that I got him I would see him anytime to work on my teeth.

Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye The Dr. & Staff ARE WONDERFUL. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed befor you even start. The wait time is lil to nothing specially when you call ahead & sometimes can even fit you in for a spot someone canceled. Had my wisdom pulled and didn’t feel a thing. GREAT SERVICE!
