The office is beautiful! Everyone is super nice and there was no wait time. Dr. Holzhauer is very sweet and patient. She explained the entire process before starting to do the work. She is super patient and very gentle! The location of the office is the best, once you are done with your appointment you can grab a bite to eat and then go shopping. I have been to a few different dentist offices in the past 20 years and Blue Back Dental is by far the best. I have been a patient for a year now and I have received routine cleanings as well as teeth whitening and veneers. The people from the front desk to the chair are always welcoming and informative. My veneers were something I had to budget for, but Blue Back Dental set me up on a simple and manageable payment plan. Dr. Wu also let me know if I ever need any changes to the veneers, he would be glad to help. They are very confident in their practice, but also care about customer satisfaction. This is such a refreshing experience for dental work. If you live in West Hartford or within a 30 minute radius, I do not know where else you would go but Blue Back Dental for your dental needs.

Whenever I walk into Blue Black Dental I am always greeted with big smiles and friendly welcomes from all of the staff members. My most recent visit was for a concern I had with my bite. My appointment was with Dr. Wu and I felt he really went out of his way to provide me with all of the information I needed to know to fix my problem. Although my concerns were mostly for aesthetic reasons and not any harm to my health, he was very understanding and could see where I was coming from. He told me exactly what I wanted to know and the advantages/disadvantages involved. I am very grateful that he could be so straight forward and honest with me! I have never once had a problem coming to this office for any type of appointment. The staff are all very nice and put in the effort to get to know the patient. They also provide patients with free parking in the garage woooo!!!!!! AND the lady who works at the front desk is really cool and knows how to rock the red hair :)

My family and I have been patients of Blue Back Dental for over 15 years. All of the dentists, hygienists, and office staff are very competent and professional. The office and patient rooms are modern with the latest dental equipment. Each room has an overhead monitor so you can watch TV while they clean or fix your teeth. They almost always run on schedule. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Validated parking is available in the adjacent covered town parking lot, so you don't have to walk outside when it's raining or snowing. I highly recommend Blue Back Dental to newcomers to the area or anyone looking for a new dental office.

I had my first appointment here last week (they came highly recommended by my brother and his wife) and it was by far the best experience I've had at the dentist. The hygienist was super nice, explained everything to me very thoroughly, was open and honest and even had me laughing a lot. On 3/20/2018, I had a crown on a lower left molar. The procedure could not have gone more smoothly. Using the latest digital technology, the porcelain crown was designed and manufactured in-house. There was no pain whatever. Everything, start to finish, was completed in 2 hours. The staff were great, even helping me learn in advance exactly what my insurance would cover. I highly recommend Blue Back Dental without reservation.

This was my first time at Blue Back Dental. I moved to CT about 6 months ago and just got around to making an appt for my cleaning. I was running a few minutes late due to be held up at work, called to let them know, and they were so nice about it! My hygienist, Beth, was great! She had a lovely sense of humor, which made the time pass quickly. She was also very thorough in my cleaning and gave me some tips to help improve my gum health. Dr. Liz was wonderful as well, taking the time to talk about a few options for finishing up orthodontic work with me. When I left, I also got an awesome goodie bag! I've waited almost two years before leaving feedback as other dentists have turned out to be less than par after I have left a review. Let me tell you that Dr. Wu and his team are some of the most talented dentists I have ever encountered. I immediately became a difficult case with a problem tooth that had been causing me pain for over a year. No other dentists were able to diagnose and fix what was going on, that is until I met Dr. Wu. He was patient and diagnosed the problem within two visits. He created a treatment plan to follow steps in order to rule out certain causes and he finally settled on a course of action that literally took care of my pain! Not only is Dr. Wu professional, but he is kind and extremely understanding. He is a funny, witty Dr. who takes the time to listen to his patients concerns and I appreciate the skilled care he has provided thus far. Now to the office, this dentist office is like the Mercedes of dentists! The equipment is state of the art and the office is clean, comfortable, and tech savvy. All of the staff are polite, accommodating, and professional. I feel so lucky to have found this dentist. I swear if I were to move out of the area I would still travel to get my dental work done with them. Once you visit the office, you won't be able to go anywhere else. The icing on the cake is that if you refer a friend you get a $50 MAX Restaurant Gift card....you just can't beat it. I've already made $100 sending my significant other and his friend for work they needed anyways! Do yourself a favor and take your teeth to the spa of dentists!

Recently I had the pleasure of having a way back tooth filled. Yes, I said pleasure. I was fascinated by the new technique used to inject Novocain, offering me a first time experience of having a shot right into the gum WITHOUT any pain at al. All was carefully cleaned and meticulously filled and I was promptly on my way for remaining tasks of the day. It was a wonderful experience! How often can you say that about having a tooth filled?

This was my first visit to Blue Back Dental and was definitely one of, if not the, best dental visit I've ever had. The ultrasonic cleaning and baking soda abrasion polishing were far more comfortable than the instruments used by my previous dentist. It was the first time in years that I walked away from a cleaning without feeling like my gums had just been tilled for planting. Dr. Holzhauer, the hygienists, and all the staff I came into conversation with were great. Very friendly, great care, and a sense of genuine interest in their patients. Dr. H took great care in advising me on areas of concern and made me feel comfortable. I thoroughly enjoy my experience while I'm at their office unlike most of my previous experience in dental offices. Choosing a dentist is really tough with so many choices. I'm not originally from the area so I did not have a long time dentist. Looking at the doctors credentials and educational background as well as the advanced equipment and procedures offered made Blue Back Dental the ideal choice for me.

The reason for that is that I need to be over the top impressed with a business to merit not only my time but the effort. The team at Blue Back Dental is so caring and professional that I now look forward to going to the dentist. At my most recent visit, I had Rachel as my hygienist. She took the time to get to know me and she explained things to me throughout my cleaning. She was both friendly and thorough in her treatment. This care is representative of the treatment I have received over the last 7 years from Jenn (who has been my hygienist a number of times) and other hygienists as well. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Elizabeth Holzhauer, Dr. Tim Holzhauer, and Dr. Wu at various times over the years. All three are extremely knowledgeable with fantastic bedside manners that I have not experienced with other dentists or doctors. They always make me feel at ease with any treatment or procedure that I might need. The way in which they educate their patients is unparalleled and sets them apart from other dentists. The practice has the most state of the art equipment. The office staff is friendly and extremely helpful. I rarely write reviews but with the care I have received at Blue Back Dental, I wanted to take the time to thank them and give them the highest recommendation. When you walk through the doors you really get a sense that every single person in the practice deeply cares about both your oral health and you as an individual person. It is a feeling I have never gotten in any doctor's office I've been in and I am extremely fortunate to have found such amazing dentists.
