Although I love Dr. Wilken and he is a wonderful dentist. I was just reprimanded by Gloria for NOT needing to see him for the last seven years. Her attitude lacks kindness and compassion. The, “I don’t know what to tell you” and “I have no answer for you” have no business in the health field. Also, failing to take your answering machine off for the first half hour your business is open is very unprofessional. I called Horizon and that receptionist was kind, compassionate and went out of her way to help. Gloria, seems like you don’t like your job and don’t care if people are helped. Duly noted.

The dentist was nice enough but hygienist was extremely rough and agitated. I almost walked out while having to deal with her. On top of that, I was told they accepted my insurance only to receive a bill in full because they actually are not providers in my insurance network.

This visit was my first one to Salida Family Dentistry. The examination was thorough and very informative. I learned a lot about the health of my teeth and gums and how better to take care of them. The care I receive from Dr. Wilken and hygenest Colby are always 100%. I have never felt so at ease in the chair. Im kept informed about what is going on at all times and am given advice and options that work for me. Getting my teeth cleaned makes me feel healthy and is my dental insurance .

I usually can't get numb, and have to travel out of town to get my teeth worked on, but one of the dentists was able to numb me and do a great job on my teeth! Now I'm not in terrible pain anymore. I have been going to this Dentist Office since we moved here 8 years ago. They remember who I am, they are always kind, and I never feel uncomfortable at the Dentists office. They always work out payments and are really easy to work with financially. I recently had to have some work done and I made myself nervous. I told Dr. Sites and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and felt in control. Everything went beyond great and I really had no reason to worry. My whole family goes to Salida Family Dentistry, I can’t recommend them enough.

I picked this dentist office because of the reviews here. I am adding to the raves about it. I saw Dr. Wilken, who is kind and friendly, and professional. He offered me some options, and we worked out a plan together. The whole staff is great! No need for those corny posters on the ceiling, because the view out the windows from your dental chair is beautiful. Bonus: Sturgill Simpson on the radio while I filled out my paperwork. Highly recommended.

Salida Family Dentistry is the greatest! Dr. Wilken has a great "bedside manner". ALL of the staff are very patient and kind. Everyone in the office is willing to answer all question's and is knowledgeable about everything that concern's the office. If they don't know, they find the answer! With all that said, I can honestly say, it is actually a pleasant experience going to the dentist...how many dentist's can you say that about? That's right, Just one. Salida Family Dentistry . They're the best in town.
