I’ve been here three times, and they are wonderful. I have never been to a dentist office that is so personable and professional. The staff is excellent and treats you with respect. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants to keep and maintain their teeth. They have state of the art practices and recommended treatments for at home also.

All of my life I have had chronic problems with my teeth and absolutely dreaded sitting in the dentist's chair. I consider it a life changing moment when I met Dr. Perry and the team at Dental Health of Boulder. For the first time ever, I was asked to do a personal health survey which included questions about my diet, as well as a Ph test to see if my mouth was in a more alkaline or acidic state. By investigating my diet and taking preventative measures, I have brought my mouth into a more alkaline state and have needed much less dental work. Dr. Perry and his team are visionary thinkers and true holistic healers. The whole staff is incredibly warm and kind. The experience at Dental Health of Boulder feels spa-like. Bridget at Coda Health Kitchen serves organic smoothies, there are personal iPods and just overall incredible attentiveness. I have referred many friends to Dental Health and will continue to do so.

This place is now known as Biotic Breath Probiotic Dentistry, but it doesn't show up that way on Google yet, so this review may not make it to the right people (potential customers and staff at the office). For several years, I went to a friend of mine who's a dentist. Let's just say that, in addition to being my friend, he has a reputation of being affordable and honest. In all those years, I needed work one time, and another time he found something concerning on an x-ray and sent me to a specialist. I started going to Dental Health of Boulder/Biotic Breath about two years ago. The first time I went in, the hygienist wasn't in, so they just did a basic check up and tried to reschedule me for a cleaning (no thanks - I have a life, and I opted to wait for another six months). I really didn't think anything of this, as sometimes people just have to miss work. The dentist found two cavities and did a "breath test" on me to check the type of bacteria in my mouth. When I asked my dentist friend about this, he just chuckled about it, and said it wasn't totally worthless by was kind of an expensive gimmick that he didn't find worthwhile. The next time I went in, there was a hygienist, but no dentist, and I had to reschedule for the dentist. I was given NO WARNING. If I had known the dentist wasn't in, I would have rescheduled rather than paying a babysitter twice. Again, two cavities. And they did the breath test again - after doing everything the dentist had instructed the time before, my breath test was worse. They said sometimes it can take a year and a half or more to get better. At that point, I decided the expensive probiotics were probably not doing anything at all and stopped taking them. The next three times, every time I went in, they have found something that needs work. After years of needing NOTHING. I find this extremely unlikely. I went in last week, and they found something with FIVE TEETH. This was after the hygienist highlighted a potential problem in only one; the dentist found a problem in another four (but not in the one the hygienist had highlighted), and the hygienist had to suggest the fifth tooth. In the dentists words, it was mostly "wear and tear." I mean, I do actually use my teeth. All the hygienists and dentists here are extremely polite, which made me think they must just keep finding real stuff. I am finally convinced this place is one of those that just loves inventing stuff in order to make more money. It's not good to go drilling into healthy teeth, and I'm frustrated. I won't be returning.

Beware of the reviews -- they pay you $50 for positive reviews. I went here for cleaning for a while and it was ok but the staff regularly pressures you into work that I don't think really needs done. They finally pressured me into getting a crown put on and it was the worst dental experience of my life. Months later my tooth still hurts and the doctor's explanation was that they didn't do anything wrong it's normal to be in pain after a crown I just have to wait until it goes away. All staff turnover is really high (including the dentists) -- there's somebody new every time I was there. The staff is really unorganized, they don't help each other, they can't find things it is a mess.

On your first visit, they will lure you in with smoothies, aromatherapy, massage, and a few other little gimmicks. Then they will do shotty work and expect you to pay WAY more than for what they actually did. On my first visit, I was informed I needed a "deep cleaning", meaning the hygienist would have to go up way under my gums to clean stuff out and that it would be very painful. They even offered to gas me for it. When I came in the next time for the procedure, a different hygienist told me "you don't need that deep of a cleaning", proceeded to give me just a regular cleaning, and still called it a "deep cleaning", charging me $200 extra. I went to two more "deep cleans" after that, which didn't cost as much but they would send me bills in the mail wanting even more money. Oh and after my first visit, they never offered me any of those gimmicky things again. I'll never go back.

I am very disappointed. I went in for 2 cavities to be filled and ended up with a root canal and crown. 10 appointments later..... everything was done. They we're not helpful with scheduling to combine all my procedures and I had to go in twice to get my crown because the one they made the first time didn't fit my tooth!! I've been going here for about 5 years now and I have never left the dentist excited and raving about the care and attention I've received during my visits until I found Dental Health of Boulder. I recommend them to everyone I know because I believe they are the best. They take the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any questions I have. They have the latest technology and I love their natural approach. I've received complementary smoothies and head massages during my visits as well as aromatherapy and personal music during my procedures. I'm not sure if they still have an onsite thereapist for people who have extreme fears of dentistry but they used to and it was so helpful in me overcoming my fears of the dentist. I can honestly say that I'm no longer afraid to go to the dentist. I cannot say enough amazing things about this establishment. :)

I really hate giving bad reviews, but this is one I feel like others should know about. Initially I had several really great experiences with Dr. Pourkay and recommended them to *three* of my colleagues who all saw her and were very pleased. She was so kind, considerate, and put my expectations and needs first...I feel like this was when Dental Health of Boulder was in a beta phase. They offered smoothies, massages, breath tests, and so much more. At that time, it seemed like the dentist wasn't going to be so bad! Even though they didn't fulfill all those promises then (who doesn't forget things), I felt like Dr. Pourkay was on top of it. I trusted her and was super happy with what I was getting. She considered my concerns and was super responsive. I came back for my next checkup to find that my dentist was no longer there, and that it was absolutely not what I signed up for. It was just like welp, you get a rando looking at your teeth now and that's about it. There was absolutely no concern if I wanted the same dentist. They didn't even ask! They just scheduled the appointment and while I was expecting Dr. Pourkay someone else appeared and I was quite shocked. This doesn't happen with most industries. Personally I'd like to know if I'm going to get a whole new dentist and treatment. In any experience I've ever had, you're asked if that's okay or if you have a preference so you can do the research. It makes me wonder if it's because they wanted to avoid that. They knew they weren't delivering the service I expected, so rather they surprised me instead. The new dentist wasn't terrible, but certainly wasn't as considerate - nor did they know me like my previous dentist did. There also wasn't any of the initial frills. It was just like, oh, you're here again and we forgot everything you'd ever asked us to consider. It's a really great example of overpromising and under delivering. Like I said, I hate giving bad reviews but I'd want someone else to know of my experience if they were to be considering Boulder Health of Boulder for their dental care. It's unpredictable and going downhill IMHO.

Dr. Toebler who put the first crown in mentioned I should get some other teeth crowned, second opinion Dentist said no need the tooth is fine. They will do and suggest you need dental work when you do not!

For more than 50 years I have had considerable dental services all over the U.S. including a “full mouth restoration” that took nearly two years and for which my longest day in the chair was eight hours (!). Many dedicated dental professionals did their best to help me, including having spent more than 20 rewarding years in the caring and skillful hands of Dr. Steve Koral here in Boulder. But Dr. Perry is a one-of-a-kind Master of the Terrain, not only of “fixing” problem items and issues but of deeply understanding and knowing how best to optimize the overall health and well-being of my entire physical body and even my attitude toward achieving profound all-encompassing healthfulness. I am a Yale Graduate and have completed post-graduate studies at Harvard University, and I have never met anyone with Dr. Perry’s comprehensive and nuanced capacities to address dental issues with utter efficacy. And it is no surprise that I have also experienced a deep personal connection with Dr. Perry, as his presence as an open-hearted and open-minded individual is quite remarkable. Nor is it a surprise that his office team is competent beyond expectation as well as caring and knowledgeable and resourceful in truly unique ways. Dr. Perry is a caring and knowledgeable dentist. I'm never going here again, though, because of the cold and negative attitudes of the front desk staff. Jeanette acts like a teenager with attitude just because she has to answer the phone or speak to someone standing in front of her. There are lots of good dentists in Boulder and I find no need to be treated as if I'm a bother to someone. Practitioners: never underestimate the damage a bad front desk person can do! At the same time, be aware that a good front desk person can really enhance client experience and keep them coming back.

I just got crowned!...by Dr. Perry & Catherine. Although it took some time to numb me yesterday (My system eats up anesthetic because of my high anxiety nature), they persevered by cutting along my damaged gum line, scooping out the gunk that had built up between my gums & tooth, scraping out my old deteriorated fillings, and prepping my tooth for the crown. Then C took a mold of my tooth & Dr. P sculpted my new fitting:) The prep part wasn't much fun for both parties due to my overly sensitive mouth, but we got through it and today's fitting was a cinch! The cap fits like a glove and I am pleased with it's appearance, especially how it covers that area between my tooth & gums. Job well done & by caring professionals! 'Caps off' to Dr. P & Catherine!

This office is very friendly and thorough! I was very impressed with the steps taken to help me understand how important my dental health is and how it impacts all of my health overall. I guess that’s why they are called dental health! Never have I had a more in-depth first time visit in any other dental office. They took a sample of my breath and were able to read how the levels of my bad breath impacts my teeth and mouth! Who knew! Very impressive and insightful!! This office makes their own probiotic toothpaste which I didn’t even know existed!! I would DEFINITELY recommend this office to anyone looking for a dental office that goes the extra mile to educate people on how to REALLY take care of your mouth!

I had a great experience at Dental health of Boulder. The staff was very friendly and ensured that I was confortable for the entire visit. There were a lot of fun things that you could do while you wait, like aromatherapy and taste tests. I also tried a smoothie that David made for me, which i thought was a great gesture to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. both the dentist and hygienist were very sweet and easy to talk to. My best advice is: do not go here. I had two cavities filled by Dr. Bergen (well, actually, her assistants) which came out within almost a month of being put in. The first one was fixed by Dr. Perry and is much better, but when I noted that the other filling seemed to hurt, he said it was most likely still sensitive from when it was put in. One month later and it still hurt and finally also came out. Not impressed with both the initial work, nor the lack of concern for what I pointed out as a potential issue far before it became one. I will return to have the mistake corrected, and do not wish to continue receiving service here. Update: Due to overpayment on my account, coupled with my decision to not receive service here any more, I requested (numerous times) to have my balance refunded. It was NEVER refunded to me.
