First visited Dr. Alber in January of 2008 upon moving to CO. Subsequently left him about 3 years later, compelled by insurance network parameters. After searching for 5+ years (and nearly as many dentists later) for an equally skilled dentist with even remotely as leading edge care, astute assistants and capable, friendly front desk, returned in 2016 with very little impact to total out of pocket costs. In retrospect, can't believe I was so silly to think "saving" a couple dollars could be worth leaving amazing dental care. The repair work Dr. Alber has accomplished to backtrack on the half decade without his expertise has been welcome and without judgment or criticism. I cannot wait for new expanded facilities coming this October, 2018. #patients for life

Dr. Albers and his staff are great. Dr. Albers saved me from getting an unnecessary root canal 10 years ago and I have been fine ever since. For more than a decade I have received good care from Dr Alber. More recently I have found it difficult to reschedule appointments and I contributed this to his practice size, office hours, and numerous closures. I left his practice after having an abscessed tooth on a Friday morning in June. His office provided me no off hours emergency dental phone number or process. I found myself cold calling other offices and even asked my family physician for help. Hopefully he resolves this gap in service.

For someone who has always hated going to the dentist it surprises me to be able to say that I truly love this dentist! I am cursed with bad teeth which means I see the dentist much more than anyone would choose to... And I love Dr. Alber and the entire staff at Boulder Dental Group! I've been a regular for 15 years with cleanings every 4 months and various treatments for receding gums, chipped teeth from sports, fillings and crowns galore and it's all been done with amazing care and compassion. I just went in for a root canal this week and was actually starting to fall asleep while Dr. Alber was working on me - that sounds weird to say it, but I can't think of any higher praise than to say I was relaxed enough to doze off during a root canal.

Dr. Alber was able to take me right away, and since my old dentist left town several years ago, I hadn't had my teeth attended to in several years . Dr. Alber was a great listener, reattached the crown, and within minutes gave me a brief overview of options I may have to get my old and failing teeth looking great. He stays current with new technology, which is one reason I chose him. My experience far exceeded my expectations for a first visit, and I will be signing on for the long haul. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Alber and staff for all the integrity and hard work they put into fixing my teeth. What a journey! I had a massive bone infection in the bone above my front teeth. After, the necessary surgeries, an unethical dentist from Longmont, gave me 8 bulky, toilet bowl white veneers that cracked and started to smell in less than a year. Dr. Alber so came to my rescue. He custom made the most beautiful teeth for me. My teeth are so natural looking and the color matches my other teeth perfectly. My looks changed drasticly...i look fantastic now and I'm not ashamed of my smile or breath. I wish i could post before and after pics here. The transformation and quality difference is just amazing. I trust and love these guys to the moon and back.

He is the worst dentist I have ever been to. I saw him when I was in my 20's and a student, waitressing part time. He puts headphones on you, but I still managed to hear him bragging to his dental assistant about how much money he had made on his stocks. He found a cavity and said I could get a filling for about $100 or a crown for $1,000. This all transpired AFTER he had numbed my mouth. I said I'd have to go with a filling based on cost. He said, don't you have a credit card? I said I simply didn't have the money, nor did I want to shave down my tooth unless absolutely necessary. He said he'd let me think about it some more, after I told him my decision, and left me in tears and numb in the chair for about ten minutes. I felt totally humiliated and he then did a terrible job I had to have fixed by another dentist. I later found out the friend who recommended him, and has received upwards of 8 crowns from him, her insurance company will no longer pay him after so many complaints. I have heard similar stories through other people around town. Do not go here!

I WAS referred to him thru an odd incident of meeting his hygienist at Chautauqua while picnicking and listening to music. He took the time to evaluate, listen to me, and then offer his ideas based on my medical condition and previous dental experience. Even without the hot paraffin hand treatment, I'd rate Dr. Alber's services 5 stars, but that was fabulous icing on the cake! I appreciate the organization of the business...Jo is incredibly talented at handling all of our new-patient paperwork, questions, appointment and even the mouth photography and xrays ! They use technology in very helpful ways...simple things like ipad records to more complicated things like the fancy gum line recording to measure bone and gum health. Dr. Alber and his staff are extremely patient and quite adept at what they do - explaining each process; asking detailed questions and explaining why they ask what they do. Both my daughters and I are extremely happy new patients and we feel like our teeth and overall oral health are in very capable hands.

I had a filling 9 hours ago - and feel completely fine. The procedure was truly painless, a welcome surprise for someone whose last corrective dentistry was over 10 years ago. Dr. Alber has a topical numbing agent compounded specifically for his office - once it's applied, that means not even the injections cause pain. That level of thoughtfuness is an indicator of the service you can expect at this practice. The staff is professional and you are made to feel welcome in the office. I look for doctors and dentists with whom to build a long-term relationship, and this is the sort of office where you can expect that to happen.
