Just before going out of town last summer, my oldest son let me know a tooth was bothering him (I also had one that didn't feel great); so "googled" for dentist in Hot Springs area and came across Porter Dental Health Clinic--the reviews were super, and several got my attention as patients had moved away and STILL come back for their dental needs. I now KNOW why.....the clinic had never seen us before, but took both of us in immediately and were beyond gracious (we were both able to go on our fishing trip and enjoy it rather than being miserable). Porter dental is the nicest dentist office I’ve been to in my fifty eight years! The location and grounds are peaceful and appealing to the eye. You just want to stop to look at the beautiful yard and office building This may not mean much to alot of people, but it gives you a sense of excellence and caring. As you walk in the foyer ;you see beautiful decorative items ,and pictures or photos. The staff is extremely friendly and greets you like they have known you forever! Everyone is like family. My hygienist is very polite ,full of knowledge,gentle ,and caring ;and Dr. Porter; whom I call by first name ;is all smiles, and personable ,and so full of knowledge. He doesn’t talk i n a way that’s over your head. Its all layman's language ,and easy to understand and follow. The technology is over the top perfect ,and you can see a picture of all of your teeth ;if X-rays were taken. This is so helpful ,when you are talking about something you maintain ;or you lose it! All work is done on an as needed basis. He takes the “what ifs “out of the equation. He entertains any questions you may have. After two years of routine visits to Lance Porter Dental ;I wouldn’t even think of going anywhere else. You are in a family atmosphere ,and the chairs,in front and back; are so comfortable that you just could stay awhile. However; I have seen very timely procedures. They notify you hours ahead ;to remind you of the upcoming visit. My opinion is of utmost excellence ;from start to finish. I give Porter dental an A+,100.% all the way!! Im very impressed ,and give my highest marks to this office (and its owner and staff. Check it out if you need a smile put on your face;

Dr. Lance and the entire staff are wonderful. I have been to dentists since I was 5 (it was a loooong time ago) and periodontists for years. When I first saw Dr. Lance, he could immediately diagnosis my problems. He offered solutions which were the best I had ever heard. He suggested a facial reconstruction surgeon to help with the project. The surgeon was wonderful. All of the specialists with whom he works are as professional as he. Dr. Lance and the hygienists have solved problems with which I spent years dealing. Now my life is much less complicated and my health is better. I hope I never have to go to another dentist and I hope everyone in his office works forever (Sorry, Jane!).

No matter who cleans my teeth or now that his son has followed in his footsteps and is my regular dentist, I have always felt informed, shown respect, felt like family and that they care about keeping my original teeth as much as possible. Your mouth and teeth are one of the few things that show how healthy a person is and you only get one adult set so keeping your mouth and teeth at their best is key to good health and hygiene. Who doesn't want a great smile with pearly whites? Even without insurance their prices are reasonable and worth a cleaning for six months. Can you put a price on something so important and that you only have one set which is the reason they should be one of the most important necessities that one should make sure is kept up for a long lasting beautiful smile that Dr. Porter strives to achieve so all we want to do is smile.

He took excellent care of my dental care over the years. Dr. Lance Porter, took over my dental care upon his father's retirement. I have had dental cleanings, fillings and a crown, all done by Porter Dental Health, and never had any problems after any of these procedures. He and his staff are friendly, professional, and also attend dental conferences regularly so they are up to speed on the latest treatments, tools, and technology used. Dr. Porter also travels during the summer at times to treat patients in other countries dental needs. You never have to wait very long. They keep your records up to date as you regularly update them and when your appointment is coming up soon, they send you a text message to confirm your appointment. I would recommend Porter Dental Health and Dr. Lance Porter to anyone who may be looking for a local dentist.

I've heard that they even have daily staff meetings, and review the day's client list and needs. ---------- Sep 2014: I recently was treated with a root canal, and it was not unpleasant at all. And now, several days later, I am having no problems with it at all. ------- Dec 2014: Going through the process of installing two crowns. Everyone at the office are extremely friendly. Dr. Porter makes you feel comfortable. He is always so happy and appreciative to have you as a patient. I have always had good teeth and very few cavities. However, now, I take some medications that cause dry mouth and have tooth decay. He has done everything that is possible to allow me to keep my teeth. The dental techs work so hard to get everything done perfectly, from cleanings to fluoride trays.
