My daughter and I both had our first visit today and have never had the experience we encountered. They actually escorted us on a tour and explained how their office worked and who the dentist were before we even met them. They also took the time to inquire about myself and daughter on a personal level. My daughter especially loved that. All my questions were answered and I must say that at the age of 47 I have never wanted to return to a dentist due to a bad experience I had as a child which led me to not properly take care of my teeth. I had resolved myself to just pulling them all and getting dentures which I felt would fix all my dental problems including not having to see a dentist as regularly, but after today I have trust in this dental office to do exactly what's best for myself and the rest of my family. I actually couldn't wait to get home and tell my husband that our family FINALLY has a dentist!!

Took my 4 year old, who has severe sensory processing issues, in this morning for his first cleaning, best experience ever! This office is like the Chic-fil-a of dental offices! Everyone was so nice and sweet from the gentleman checking me in, to the nurse giving me my tour, to the young lady helping me with my bill and insurance. I’m sold!

Disappointed. If I had to sum up my exp with them it would be Disappointed. Keep in mind I never even made it to the office for my cleaning. Let me explain. Before going in for a routine xrays and cleaning, I called and asked that my insurance get verified. I didn't want to get hit with a bill for hundreds of dollars after something that should be covered. My first red flag should have been when i was told "we don't verify coverage until after the procedure". Yeah it does seem strange that they wouldn't check insurance until after you owe them money. So I told them that won't work for me and if they want me to come in then verify my coverage and send me a reply via email. Over a weeks period of calls to me to confirm I'm coming, and me saying no not until I get my email, finally turn into me getting a call from their inhouse insurance verification person. She was very nice and said "yes you're 100% covered for what we have you coming in to do". I was thrilled and asked to get that in writing. I spoke to her and the front desk person, never got my email. Then the day of my cleaning I get a call from their hygienist asking why I wasn't there. Explained I never got the email and she says "well I've got an hour blocked off on my calendar, what do I do now? I'll check with front desk about this because we don't verify insurance until after the procedure." Hey look, you're trying to get me to be your patient. I'm not the one trying to earn your business, you're trying to earn mine. All I asked for was an email confirming what I was told over the phone. I never got the email and you didn't get me as a patient.

Came in 9/11/19 for a checkup due to a pestering toothache. All of the staff was welcoming with smiles from ear to ear. The nurse who saw me (raven) I believe, made it her job to get to know me personally and find out what exactly was wrong with my dental issue. Next I was seen by Dr. Kimberly Pollard. She examined my mouth and x-rays and quickly determine the issue and gave me every possible option I had to resolve it in a nice and friendly way & in my best interest, both financially and time wise because of a future deployment I have. Everyone was friendly and I highly recommend Arkansas Family Dental for any with dental problems or just if you want to get a checkup/cleaning. I was very impressed! I left a previous dental due to unresolved issues with a tooth ache. They were very professional and they even gave me a tour of the dental office. I also received a gift bag. Today was my first time going to afd. The ladies did a wonderful job. My friend Kim D recommended that I try them out since I was having some issues. Totally loved it. I also loved how they gave me plan on how we would go about getting my teeth fixed up and how much it would cost up front. They even allow you to pay upfront for the next appointment. The dental hygienist anna did a great job as well never felt my teeth feel so smooth and clean like this before. She took her time and did a very detailed job!! Loved it!!

Dentist was a complete waste of time. Went in, told three people (including the receptionist when I made the appointment) that I have TMJ issues in my jaw and what feels like a cracked tooth. Go to the appointment and the dentist looks and says “I’m gonna need to refer you to a TMJ specialist”. Good God, you already knew I had TMJ issues. You couldn’t have just told me to go to a specialist in the first place? And on top of that, you want me to sign agreeing to some cost for an appointment you want me to make in the future with you guys after the specialist appointment? Useless waste of time!

I chose this place because of all the great reviews but I didn’t have a good experience. The dental hygienist was amazing. I can’t remember her name but she was wonderful and very helpful. I made the appointment to have my buttons removed from the Invisalign. It was the main reason I went. Well Dr. Ludford ended up not doing it because he didn’t have time. I thought that was very unprofessional. Luckily the dental hygienist saw my frustration and went and found someone to do it. I was very disappointed with him and I will not go back.

Very friendly staff, and I really mean it, super friendly and helpful! Dentists and their assistance also seems to have good dentistry knowledge & experiences. However, I found the billing department Very unorganized in several incidences. Also, I'm not quite satisfied by unreasonably high cost and fees. For an implant, I asked for a quote here and 2 other dental offices in LR, which was around $8000 (average). Then I traveled to Balkan area (in Europe) for visiting some friends, & I had exactly the same implant brand that offices named here (made in Korea), together with a cleaning and filling in a very modern dental office for 200 Euros ($220). Another example, for 5-6 basic 2D X-ray radiography images, you (or your insurance) will be billed something like $250 but I found out the radiography machine itself is not expensive at all (cost around $600), also it takes only a few seconds for each radiography to be taken (and it's not taken by the dentist of course) ... I was thinking, due to unreasonable pricing ... should I buy one to use at home!? I'm just sharing my experiences!

Dentist was a complete waste of time. Went in, told three people (including the receptionist when I made the appointment) that I have TMJ issues in my jaw and what feels like a cracked tooth. Go to the appointment and the dentist looks and says “I’m gonna need to refer you to a TMJ specialist”. Good God, you already knew I had TMJ issues. You couldn’t have just told me to go to a specialist in the first place? And on top of that, you want me to sign agreeing to some cost for an appointment you want me to make in the future with you guys after the specialist appointment? Useless waste of time!

I chose this place because of all the great reviews but I didn’t have a good experience. The dental hygienist was amazing. I can’t remember her name but she was wonderful and very helpful. I made the appointment to have my buttons removed from the Invisalign. It was the main reason I went. Well Dr. Ludford ended up not doing it because he didn’t have time. I thought that was very unprofessional. Luckily the dental hygienist saw my frustration and went and found someone to do it. I was very disappointed with him and I will not go back.

Very friendly staff, and I really mean it, super friendly and helpful! Dentists and their assistance also seems to have good dentistry knowledge & experiences. However, I found the billing department Very unorganized in several incidences. Also, I'm not quite satisfied by unreasonably high cost and fees. For an implant, I asked for a quote here and 2 other dental offices in LR, which was around $8000 (average). Then I traveled to Balkan area (in Europe) for visiting some friends, & I had exactly the same implant brand that offices named here (made in Korea), together with a cleaning and filling in a very modern dental office for 200 Euros ($220). Another example, for 5-6 basic 2D X-ray radiography images, you (or your insurance) will be billed something like $250 but I found out the radiography machine itself is not expensive at all (cost around $600), also it takes only a few seconds for each radiography to be taken (and it's not taken by the dentist of course) ... I was thinking, due to unreasonable pricing ... should I buy one to use at home!? I'm just sharing my experiences!

Charge out-of-network rates, even though they tell you they are an in-network provider At my first visit at Arkansas Family Dental in March 2017, they told me they were my dental insurance in-network provider. Then I visited the office every 3 months and paid for each visit at the time. Everything went well until my visit in Sep 2018. They told me I had balances to pay from previous visits. I asked why there were balances, since I paid for each visit. Their answer was that they didn't know. I asked whether not they were my insurance in-network provider, and they still told me they were. So I contacted my insurance, and knew that they were not an in-network provider. They charged me with out-of-network rates and I have to pay the difference between what they charged and my insurance maximum allowance. I argued that it was not my fault because they gave me false information, and I should not be responsible for the balance. They said that even though they provided me false information, I was still responsible for the balance, and if I didn't pay, they would send the bill to the collector. I do care about my credit and also don't want to waste more time to fight this, so I paid the balance.

At first I was liking this dentist they do have good customer service' but as I went on to other appointments, I was left in chair for over 30 mins without being waited on in addition to that I'm in a great deal of pain due to my back tooth needing to be pulled or root canaled. When I went there they only prescribed antibiotics for pain and infection' I have taken two advils, this is the second of such visits, I also needed pain meds before .they told me take ibuprofen...horrible..they seem apprehensive to consider everyone is not state patients abusing pain meds maybe due to there servicing state mental health patients this maybe why we are treated as if we are criminals I have good insurance and actually hate taking meds but my pain is bad and needed it.

I just can’t express how Inhumane I was treated by Dr. Pollard. While giving me a numbing shot Herself and Actually seeing the Inside of my Mouth with her own eyes for the FIRST TIME EVER and after I was told it would be an hour which I waited Crying in Pain with A Bad Abscess said “you can wait for Dr. Ludford if that’s what you want”. I went in there after my PCP instructed me to see a Dentist. I have Only Seen Dr. Ludford Once and he Treated me like Any other Patient even though my mouth was in Bad shape and I didn’t have a lot of money to work with, he still Extracted my Tooth and treated me like any other patient. I am in Shock and In So much Pain that it’s tough to type this review but just in Case I end up in the E. R. Since Dr.Pollard didn’t Want to Extract my tooth, just wanted to get in there and poke around and make a smart comment to a Completely Incapacitated patient in Severe Pain, is like to leave this review to say someone should get some Training on how to properly work with people that maybe aren’t used to going to the dentist cause they don’t have a lot of cash and Not so Great insurance. I can’t believe how Humiliated I was and insulted that I couldn’t afford the root canal to save the tooth! It’s My Mouth, My Infected Tooth and Entire Side of Mouth is Still Swollen with an Abscess! If you like to be treated Like Poor White Trash, then Do Pollard is the Dentist to see! I am still after Shots to “numb” the area in so much pain I am vomiting and I feel the abscess could burst causing further infection. I suppose her time was too Precious to help a Patient that like I said Patiently waited for over an hour Just to get shots in my Mouth while being told” you know you can just wait on Dr. Ludford to get back”... OMG!! That is what I’ll do I Hope! As I did schedule an appointment with Dr. Ludford I’m sure he will see that my asking for something for pain wasn’t drug seeking.. it was Relief Seeking!!!

Overall great job as always. The only feedback for improvement purposes would be that a handoff is given between the hygienist and the person who who brushes and flosses the teeth after cleaning. I have a bridge and this person/technician wasn’t aware until they were trying to floss. Normally I don’t have to say anything but will going forward as this may have been a new employee and I don’t want my dental work damaged. Not trying to get anyone in trouble but want this used more for improvement vs focusing on a particular employee. I love this office and everyone is extremely nice. Will continue to come

I was very anxious about having my impacted and completely sideways wisdom tooth removed. Jillian made me very comfortable, and helped me relax through the process. I was very happy having her there to comfort me. While I was still anxious, I was not nearly as anxious as I would have been without her help. Dr. Tina Nichols was very fast and efficient while extracting my tooth. I have never had such a pain free recovery after an extraction as I did after my visit with Dr. Nichols. I drive 2 hours to this clinic every visit, and it is very worth it. All of the staff are friendly. If I could rate this clinic higher I would.

I transferred my children there about four or five years ago because it's more convenient for us to all go to the same dentist. Their customer service is bar none. When I first walked in I was kindly greeted by one of the receptionist, I gave all of the requested documents (I was a new patient) and I was asked for few additional documents which was different but k gave them what they needed, when I was called I was immediately taking to the person I guess that does the billing and she started talking about the services that I have already received and it was so confusing and uncomfortable I asked how should we handle it( ie reschedule so they can send my xrays etc) she looked confused my hygienist then said he would take me on the tour and I told him that I was still uncomfortable with what just happened and would like to know exactly what I needed to do (at this point I was ready to leave and probably should have went with my gut and left) I get back to the room and he states that he would do some other “type” of X-ray and they wouldn’t need my xrays that I just had in January, I get the X-rays he then say he needs more and after getting back to the chair he calls in a dentist to check me out, still haven’t had my teeth cleaned and they start talking like I’m not in the room about all these treatments they suggest and I mentioned that I was confused by all the things they say I need because I just had an appointment with my old dentist and everything was fine now I need (3k worth of treatments) and the dentist got a little defensive and then with a smile turned me over to the hygienist my cleaning finally started and it was extremely painful, my mouth never ached so much from a cleaning and I mentioned that it was extremely painful and he apologized, I then got my “treatment plan” and I was literally in shock (not sure why though because they only spoke of money the entire time” but I then spent 1 more hour trying to make since of the numbers and the treatment plan and I had a million red flags but being trusting I was about to make some rushed decisions but thank God an emergency came up where I had time to cancel and rethink things, when I called back about my refund the lady that answered the phone seemed annoyed towards the end of the call and that was the finally red flag, I refuse to be treated the way I was treated ever again!

I am a retired dentist in Arkansas. My nephew went in for a cleaning and left with an $8200 treatment plan. After reviewing it there may be $1500 of needed treatment. They may be really friendly but this is definitely over treatment for the sake of the dollar. I advise a second opinion on anything over $1500 in treatment
