Just had to take the time to commend Dr. Whelan. We have never seen or even talked to him before but had an emergency yesterday (Sunday) where our son broke his front adult tooth in half. I called our neighbor who is also a dentist and he gave us Dr. Whelan’s contact info. Within an hour Dr. Whelan was treating our son on his day off and did an amazing job. We were referred to Pleasant Pediatrics about 6 years ago. This place has been amazing in every way. The staff has been extremely friendly and very very good with all three of our kids. Today was our youngest daughters first time. Just like the older two they made her feel completely at ease. She had such a good time getting her teeth cleaned! All three of them were there today and the staff was great to all of them as usual. The Dentist is amazing with them too! He makes them laugh and explains everything to them before he does it. After he comes and talks to my wife or I to let us know what’s going on too. The place is clean and plenty of things for kids of all ages to do. Couldn’t be happier with the choice.

Dr. Gregory Whelan is my absolute favorite dentist for my two kids (2 and 3 years old) He is so great with my babies and also listening to my concerns and my expectations as a parent. I love that about him and it is so hard to find in a dentist. We only see Dr. Whelan and are so happy with him and his office! Thanks for being so amazing!

My son has been a patient of Dr. Whelan since he was 3 months old (he is now 2.5). He had a severe tongue and lip tie that was corrected at 3 months old and his tongue needed some addiditional revisions due to how thick the tissue was and other factors (and were not charged any additional fees for the additional revisions). Dr. Whelan and his staff have always been beyond personable, kind, comforting, and informative when it came to our interactions with them and the procedures. The staff is so nurturing with my son and takes the time to let him warm up and interact with me as well, and Dr. Whelan is so thorough and doesn’t rush you through what’s going on or do “in and out” check ups. We did a consult at another doctor’s office prior to Whelan’s who is located 5 minutes from us and the experience was less than great- the staff didn’t even really talk to us, a video regarding ties was played in a room for me alone and I didn’t even see the actual doctor, just the nurse. Dr. Whelan is a 35 drive in good traffic for me and that drive is so worth it- I even made it for my son’s dental check up because I had such a good experience with them during the ties and we already have a relationship established. I’m thankful for his office and hope they know that their communication and engagement with their clients deserves recognition.

Love the atmosphere and the super friendly dentist, dental assistance, and staff. The dental facility is very kid friendly. Their waiting room is divided into three separate areas. Two with TV's and various activity toys, and the third set up as a gaming space. The bathroom has both an adult size toilet and a small flushable child size toilet. At the end of the child's dental visit they are rewarded with a token to pick a prize out of the gumball size dispenser. We have been taking our 4 kids there now for about 5 years. Highly recommend them to anyone with children younger than 18 years old.

If I could give 6 stars I would! We came here a few months ago for my 12 Month old daughter because she had something stuck between her teeth and her gum. My older boys (5 and 3) came with me and were so impressed that they asked me if they could come to this dentist. The office is super child-friendly with cartoons in the waiting room and hygiene bay. The staff were all cheerful and kind and took time to really engage with my children. When we came for my daughter even though the boys weren’t patients there, the dental assistant gave them goodie bags and a coin token that they used to get a prize from a gum ball type machine. Dr. Whelan was wonderful on both the visit for my daughter and the visit for my son. He took the time to educate me and explain things to my child. He gave me his cell phone number and said that if my children ever had any mouth trauma incidents after hours to text him a picture of the injury and that he lives close to the office so he would usually be able to come in on a weekend if we had an emergency.

Dr Whelan performed a posterior tongue tie and Eiffel tower revision on our 8 month old. From the very first appointment he was spectacular. The woman working the front desk had all my info printed out for me when we arrived for our first appointment which was beyond appreciated. This while establishment deserves more than 5 stars. My 2 year old son had his first dentist appointment here last week and what really won me over during our visit here was the dentist's availability. They gave me his cell phone number and told me if there is ever any sort of emergency or trauma on a weekend that requires the dentist's immediate attention that I can text or call and he will come into the office. Hopefully that never happens, but you never know, especially with children and knowing his dentist is willing to go above and beyond during his off time is great! The office is beautiful, clean, and has a gaming room/ toys for the kids. I didn't spend more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. All the staff members were kind and informative. My son doesn't even like me brushing his teeth so I was worried about how he would act with strangers trying to get into his mouth. He acted like any other two year old would (crying, flailing around) but we were able to hold him down and I was impressed at how quickly and efficiently the hygienest was able to complete what needed to get done. My son really enjoyed the prize he got afterwards... they gave him a coin to insert into one of their vending machines so I thought that was pretty cool. All in all the whole visit was quick and efficient and I was out of there in about 25 min.

When I was a child I was very afraid of the dentist. He was not talkative, patient, or gentle. I had terrible experiences and those memories followed me into adulthood. I did not want that fear and anxiety for my children. I didn't want them to fear the dentist or shy away from taking care of their teeth. I am so happy that I was able to find Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry! They have been a godsend! Dr. Whalen and Dr. Petruzzi are competent and sensitive. My older son gets anxious with certain sensations (mainly the vibrations that happen when fixing a filling). Dr. Petruzzi talks him throughout the procedure, keeping him calm, and works quickly to finish to lessen my son's anxiety. The office is filled with fun cat/dog murals and decorations, including video games and activity centers for younger kids in the waiting room. There is always a DVD playing as well. The dental assistants, particularly Heather, remember us and chat with us each visit. The kids get a prize every visit too! The prices are reasonable for the level of service they provide. I feel like I'm getting a great deal and my boys and I all look forward to our next visit.

Always a great experience for our kids when I take them there. Our youngest is now 4 and despite the scary look of things, the staff is patient and works wonderfully with her. I've tried other pediatric dentists at least once because they were closer but went right back. Even our 17 yr old, after trying another dentist, went back to them. They don't try to do unnecessary work, office is fun and clean for the kids and staff is awesome!

I’ve taken my kids for a few years, the staff is friendly and they have kids so they can relate when my kids are scared or nervous (which wears off after a few visits) the dentists are friendly and cover anything important. My kids love getting the coin and picking toy at the end as well as the fun toothbrush and other essentials they receive. I really appreciate the appointment reminder texts they send. It’s always a great experience at this dentist office. Honestly I love them because they are not eager to drug my child at every turn! Thankfully the staff is great with a great vibe that says they all get along. My son doesn’t like much of the process but they are patient with him. I literally drive 40 minutes to stay with this dentist and his office staff. It means everything that my kids are comfortable, and they are here. I’ve also walked out of dentist office when a dentist said I couldn’t accompany my children to the back. Dr.Gregory W. doesn’t do this, he’s always more then understanding about me staying with my kids. It’s kid and parent friendly!

We have been bringing our kids here for over a year. Everyone who works here is super friendly. They put the kids at ease by always explaining exactly what they are doing. I highly recommend them! Also we are cash pay and when I called around, their prices were cheaper then other offices.

2019 Still absolutely love this place! Only waited a few minutes after checking in to be taken back, they are amazing with kids and make me feel comfortable with what is going on by talking me through it. Dentist was quick to come in after the cleaning and answered all my questions without rushing us out the door. 2018 This was my child's first dentist appointment he is 1.5 years old and not a fan of having fingers in his mouth. Needless to say the staff was awesome they brought us back just before the dentist was actually ready for us so we didn't wait long, they were quick and great with my child. The staff and dentist were very friendly and informative which is great. I will be keeping my child with Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry.
