Dr. MacLean and her staff were amazing!! My son has been going there since he was a baby and he screamed every time they worked on him til he was 4 years old, yet they never seemed tense or put off by it. They actually put me at ease by saying it was ok and normal for his age and helped me prepare my children with positive dialog to prepare for the next appointment! He is 7 now and looks forward to seeing the dentist :) The girls in the office are so warm and friendly....and best of all CALMING.....I only wish they worked on adults too, lol!

Affiliated Children's Dental is a fantastic place to take children. I have children that have fear issues and need a lot of work done. They go above and beyond to help children overcome their fears and that is exactly what they did for my son. He now has no anxiety when going to the dentist, due to the genuinely caring staff at that office. My daughter has had to have lots of dental work done and they patiently assisted us through the process of what we needed to do. They are a FANTASTIC dental office and I would recommend their services to everyone.

IF you are scared taking your Kids to the Dentist like i was, don't be. I am a very overprotective Mother and was very nervous taking both of my kids to the dentist, just because i have lots of dental issues. I was looking for a lot of dentist and finally came across Affl. Children Dental.All the worries were for nothing. Everyone was very very nice and explained everything to me and my kids. When they got the cleaning part, they were told whats happening so they don't get any surprise noises and jump of the chair ;). Dental ass. and Dentist were amazing.At the End they were able to get a toy and a Sticker ,whats better then that for a Kid? I am very glad i decided for them!

We've been seeing Dr MacLean for nearly 4 years now and absolutely love her and the entire staff there. During our most recent check-up, I mentioned that I've always had a hard time getting my 6 year old to cooperate with flossing. Yvette took extra time to not only talk to him about how important it is, but she used a special dye to show the plaque in between his teeth, and then carefully and kindly showed him how to floss between each tooth until all the yucky dye was gone. I really appreciated her approach with him, it was so helpful for him to clearly visualize how flossing cleans his teeth and he FINALLY does it now at home. Unfortunately since he'd gone so long without doing it well (or letting me do it) he did have a few cavities that needed to be filled. Dr MacLean showed me his x-rays and explained exactly what needed to be done, and also recommended using an oral sedative to make sure it would be done as safely as possible. Of course I was a bit nervous about that part of it, but they walked me through each of the steps and I felt totally comfortable with the process. And I'm so happy we did it, because what could have been a stressful, traumatic experience for him was 100% easy and painless. Dr MacLean also went above and beyond, and called me later that afternoon to check on him and make sure he was doing well, and made sure I had all of my questions answered. During our visits I always feel well informed and involved in my children's dental care. Not to mention their staff is so knowledgeable and organized with insurance paperwork, so I have never had surprise charges or bills in the mail weeks later. I can honestly say my kids look forward to their bi-annual visits—they love hanging out in the waiting room, and get to watch good movies and pick prizes! I'm so grateful that their early dental experiences have been fun, comfortable, and stress-free. I highly, highly recommend this practice!

After multiple special needs pediatric dentists had disappointed our family with their poor bedside manner, scheduling issues, and Aggressive/ unnecessary treatment options, we brought our special needs daughter to Dr. MacLean about a month ago. I can’t say enough GREAT THINGS about Dr. MacLean’s professionalism, thorough review of the procedure options, and just overall concern/thoughtfulness for my daughter’s well being and safety. Our daughter is a very difficult customer...and Dr. MacLean and her team kept their composure and positive/encouraging energy throughout it all. The dentists here really care for your children and their comfort. They are patient and work closely with each child. I came to this dentist even though I live in Gilbert Arizona because they practice with Silver Di-amine Flouride. It was the only dentist in all of Arizona to offer this, and I wanted it so I didn't have to put my toddler under general anesthetic to have his teeth drilled and capped. My son has had dental carries since about 2 years old. When his other dentist recommended general anesthetic and capping all of his teeth I immediately knew I wasn't going to risk my child's life for a pretty smile. I started researching and read a book on healing tooth decay which helped us make it through two more years without having this useless procedure done that could risk my child's life. Even though two different pediatric dentists told me his teeth would rot and fall out in six months if we didn't do the procedures they wanted, I resisted and changed his diet to help his teeth. Then I found SDF, a new to the U.S. procedure, through an article about Dr. Jeanette MacLean. I couldn't wait to try it even though it wasn't covered under any insurance here yet. At $25 per tooth, it was a much better option for us, even out of pocket, than risking my child's life. This procedure allows the child to have their cavities arrested without pain, without drilling and without the risk to the child's life. Yes, the side affects are a deep blackening of the teeth, but we are dealing with a temporary issue when dealing with baby teeth. As he ages, we can treat the black with other procedures when his body and he is able to handle them better and without general anesthetic. They have been practicing with SDF for over 50 years in other countries! If this was as widely known a procedure as drilling and capping, I am certain that those parents who lost their children because of general anesthetic would have opted for this instead. We need to spread the word! Affiliated Children's is a wonderful practice who really cares for the child and makes you feel that your child's well-being is the most important aspect of their care. Thank you Dr. MacLean for my piece of mind and for my child's well-being in having his teeth treated!

Let me first say that my children did not like going to the dentist, until they met Dr. Daitch and her staff. We have been thrilled with our entire experience. The office staff is extremely helpful and really work together as a team. Dr. Daitch and her dental staff take their time with each of my kids and have made them both feel so comfortable. My son was 18 months and my daughter 3 years when we started going to Affiliated Children's Dentist. We live about 30 minutes away, but our visits are more than worth the drive! I cannot believe how my stubborn 18 month old (I have the kind you cannot hold down for a second without a full out tantrum) allowed Dr. MacLean to work in his mouth. He laid there like a perfect angel, which I attribute entirely to Dr. MacLean's bedside manner and the comfort we all felt the moment we walked into the office. My then somewhat timid 3 year old sat in the big girl chair like a champ and on our second visit had to undergo a minor procedure, which she also handled with no crying, whinning or otherwise acting out. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with the entire staff at Affiliated Children's Dental. We had originally started at dentist office that doesn't specialize in meeting the needs of children. I just thought she would follow what Mommy did and not have any issues. That was not the case! I completely recommend making the extra appointment and (drive if you don't live close) to bring your children to Affiliated Children's Dental Specialists. You will be amazed at how comfortable your children will feel the minute they walk into the office.

My 2 and 4 year old are patients at ACDS. They've always received excellent care. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and they almost always run on time. Both kids have been going regularly since their 1st birthday (like our pediatrician recommended), so they are both now very comfortable with the office (which is decked out in a movie theme with video games, play areas, etc.). They've seen both Dr. Mandy Daitch and Dr. Jeanette MacLean. Both doctors are very knowledgeable and kind, and they are both moms, so I feel they are very patient and understanding with my kids. The staff is amazing - scheduling, billing, assistants - all very helpful and friendly (wish I could say the same about my own doctor's office). One in particular, Yvette, goes above and beyond! My son used to be scared of doctor's visits, until she took a good deal of time going over each tool that they were going to use and what it did. They let him sit on my lap for everything, he got to wear some cool sunglasses, they gave him a mirror so he could see what the hygienist and dentist were doing, and he didn't cry! He was fine during the entire exam and polishing. After the exam (no cavities!), they gave him a sticker and a token for a prize, he was so proud of himself! I couldn't ask for a better experience for my kids. I highly recommend this practice.

7-10-19 It's been 5 years since I worked in the office we shared with Dr. Maclean, Dr. Mandy and their staff. I continue to recommend them to everyone I know. My 6 grand kids all go there and travel a distance to go there. The entire staff is amazing and the office manager Geri is one of the kindest, most dedicated people I know. I am so thankful for the time I spent working with them and my only disappointment is that they don't treat adults! Review from 2014: I have been with Affiliated Childrens Pediatric Dentistry for years and I can’t say enough about how exceptional the entire office is. I take my grandson (who is very shy) and they were so patient with him. They were very gentle and allowed him a “little break” when he needed it. Having worked in the dental field for many years I am aware that often times - kids do behave better when mom and dad aren’t in the room but I was welcomed to be in the room with him as they explained everything to me. It’s a fun place for the kids – they can’t wait to go back and love brushing their teeth and flossing with their neat little prizes they got. My grandson keeps a picture of himself and Dr. MacLean on his dresser that they took after his appointment. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Seven years ago, Dr. MacLean was recommended as to me as a wonderful dentist to take children to for their dental appointments. First, I was impressed with the activities in the office which the kids adore and I also noticed that it was clean and orderly. I was invited into the area where my daughters were having their teeth cleaned. The staff was so nice and interactive with my daughters. I could see that they were enjoying this experience. Dr. MacLean was thorough in giving me information and stayed to answer my questions and even socialize. I can see that she truly cares about her patients and their families. The greatest thing is that my daughters love going to the dentist...A mom's dream comes true!!! It is always so rewarding when the girls get to pick their prize from the machine and walk out with happy smiles after each appointment!

As a child, I was a patient at Affiliated Children's Dental. I always felt safe, cared for, and excited to go to the dentist. When I had kids of my own, I knew I would definitely be taking them there. They always take the time to make my kids feel comfortable and welcomed. They introduced all of the tools to my kids and explained every step to them in such a kid friendly way. My kids have seen both Dr. MacLean and Dr. Daitch, and both were wonderful. They were patient, kind, and silly. My son gets very nervous going to the dentist, but they took the time to calm him and give him the special attention he needed. I’m so happy we found Affliated Dentists and especially Dr. MacLean! We had a horrible experience at our previous dentist and caused our already anxious daughter more anxiety about seeing a dentist. When we first visited Dr. MacLean she didn’t want to do anymore harm and only peaked in her mouth for a moment and got our daughter comfortable with the office and staff. We are so appreciative of the time she took to get her comfortable with going to the dentist again. The staff and physicians at this office always go above and beyond. Each time my daughter comes in they take the extra time to show her how to improve something, such as flossing, or brushing. Last time my daughter was in they fixed a front tooth that was naturally discolored, it is now perfect! Dr. MacLean is a phenominal dentist. She absolutely cares about my child, and not just her teeth. Their office is fun, and the staff is kind as well. Her use of SDF helped my child avoid traumatic and dangerous experiences, and her explanation of why my child's teeth are at a higher risk (thin enamel, genetic), helped me to understand her treatment recommendations. This really made all the difference for us. I am glad we have never had to sedate my child. After another pediatric dentist told me that my young children had multiple cavities (with no prior cavities), I went to Dr. MacLean for a second opinion. Dr. MacLean confirmed that both of my kids had NO cavities. She even reviewed the x-rays from the other provider. Taking my kids to the dentist is now a pleasure. I drive past a lot of dentists on my way to see Dr. MacLean, but the extra drive is worth every minute to have a good pediatric dentist I can trust. The customer service has been excellent and the care has been impeccable. The first time we tried Affiliated Children’s Dental was for an emergency incident after one of our kids ran into a block wall damaging her front teeth at age 3. They got us in same day and we have been patients ever since. Love this team!!
