I started going to Foothills Dentistry several years ago because my friends said they were great. They milled crowns in-house so you could get them installed the same day, and the prices were competitive. It was awesome. Then they stopped doing that.
Next they moved to Dimond for awhile, and that was ok, too. They kept the same name, and things were pretty good. Work that was needed got done, they were closer to home, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. Then they changed their name and moved again.
At some point along the way, they stopped being the dentist's office I started going to and started being something else. It happened so gradually that I almost didn't notice it. It's important to do your own thing and distinguish yourself from others; that's not a problem.
A couple of weeks ago I got an email reminder for a cleaning from them later that week, for the time I had scheduled previously. I showed up on the day and time of my appointment, and the front desk didn't have it on their calendar, didn't have anyone available who could help me, and didn't seem very concerned that my wife and I had rearranged our busy schedules to make this appointment work. That was the point at which I realized that it was no longer my dentist's office. I'm sad that I had to go shopping for another dentist after everything we've been through, but I think it's for the best because it isn't fair to hold them to a standard that was set by a different business. Sometimes it's important to start fresh.
