I had chronic dental issues that I have put off for years resulting from injuries in my youth. In addition I had a crossbite that interfered with normal chewing. I did not have a pretty smile and was shy to show my front teeth. I went to Dr. O'Brien after being recommended by a friend. I was afraid and embarrassed. From the moment I walked into the office the first day I was treated with utmost respect and kindness. For the first time I did not feel alone in the process to improve my bite and smile. Dr. O'Brien and his staff logically and thoughtfully walked me through the process of tooth extractions, root canals, dental orthotics and crowns. Over the course of 18 months my mouth was transformed all while experiencing no pain. The end result is perfect chewing and a beautiful smile. Thank you so much for caring for me and my dental health in such a professional and kind manner. It was the best decision ever for me to be under the care of Dr. O'Brien. The practice has extremely good client relationship tools. They send notes to you after visits and when you need a visit, and the staff are very nice. Until they aren't. Dr. O'Brien fitted me with a new crown which is so badly placed that the tissue in the gum below never heals (it's too tight). He didn't spend nearly anywhere the amount of time a normal dentist does having me bite down on fitting medium and adjusting. Then, because I have migraines many times per week, I had trouble securing an appointment for a checkup. I was told to come in " anytime I was feeling better", but I made an appointment and was ready to go. I called to confirm and was rudely told that Dr. O'Brien had instructed that I was too sick to be a patient. What? As my new dentist put it-we deserve the most compassion from our health care providers when we need it the most.

I went to this place because the online reviews looked good and my family talked highly of Dr. O'Brien. Unfortunately I saw the younger doctor, Daughtry. He said I had 3 small cavities. He was teaching an assistant while doing my fillings. He looked at the assistant and said "this is that new technique" while doing the small filling the right side. He spent an abnormally long time doing that filling, and began visibly sweating. The filling hurt more and something felt off. As I am checking out (I cannot talk) I am briefly told by the secretary I had a medium sized filling, but no worries they were not going to charge me. Two weeks go by and that same filling hurts to chew on. I go back and have him do a "bite adjustment". It took all of 45 seconds for him to do, and then he basically said if that does not work, all I can do is take ibuprofen. He compared it to a sprain and said it could take up to 6 months to feel better. It has now been well over 6 months. I still cannot comfortably chew on the right side of my mouth. I never had any problems like this before. I feel safe to assume Dr. Daughtry over-drilled my small cavity as I suspected and instead of owning the mistake, he had me wait 6 months in hopes the problem would solve itself. The front-desk staff also aggressively tries getting you to schedule appointments. They will call your emergency contact just to have you confirm your appointment (completely inappropriate). They send misleading emails out saying if you do not use your insurance for the year, you will lose it. The aggressive marketing from their medical practice makes Dr. Daughtry's mistake look worse, as I will now have pay another dental practice to fix it. Will not go back. Would have been way better off if I never went.

Careless dental work and terrible doctor-patient interactions. I got a filling years ago from Dr. O'Brien and he did not perform it properly, leaving a small air pocket between my tooth and the filling. So now every time I bite down on that tooth it hurts. For context, I have very good teeth overall and no other problems. Dr. O'Brien is also an unpleasant man with no bedside manner to speak of. The staff was always very nice to me. But as far as dentists go, I'd strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Dr. Donaghey was extremely impatient with me and my husband this morning. After asking three questions, he never looked at us any more, then he asked his assistant to print the quotes for the treatments and went back to his office. He ignored how painful of my husband’s teeth and didn’t say anything about reducing the pain. The deep cleaning can only be scheduled after 25 days later. We feel very sad that we can do nothing, but only wait for 25 days to go forward to the next step. We are looking for helps in O’Brian Denal, but at last, we got nothing but only disrespectful.

Be aware of who your dentist is. The experience of your dentist matters more than the overall review of the clinic. In medical, the young doctors always need more practice to acquire experience, and the patient will pay for it. Now I have to re-fill the tooth treated by the young O’brien doctor. That’s my cost. —————————————————————— To whom replied and denied my experience in the O’brien dental: Did you mind to check my record in the O’brien batabase, before shaking off responsibilities by claiming this is a sabotage? I still have my dental record and receipt, if you can’t find it in your clinic. I was expecting an apology with some comforting words, instead of a blame on sabotage. If you want to have more information, here’s my experience: I visited the clinic for cavity filling, because of the good reviews online. There were two doctors, one young and one experienced. The clinic signed the young one to me. I didn’t ask for a change and now I deeply regret it. I’m not sure how much experience the young doctor had. This is the filling work he did. 1, The drilling-open edge of the tooth was not covered completely, leaving a short cut for bacterial to invade the vulnerable part. 2, The filling material was not adhere to the tooth properly, leaving a crack, which means, another shot cut for bacterial. The crack likely resulted from additional moisture between tooth and filling material during the filling process. It totally make sense because the O’brien doctor had to absence himself for a while after he drilled my tooth open and came back later for filling. It looked like he need to take a break, while the assistant said, he had to see another patient in the middle of my treatment. This is the major reason why I need to refill these teeth after a short term treated by the O’brien doctor. —————————————————————- To whom representing the owner to reply: Would you like to speak with your supervisor before making more trouble to the owner? Things can go better, or worse. And it started to go on the wrong path after your careless reply without figuring what happened.

Recently Dr. Donaghey performed a root canal on me that was actually painless! His performance and process was better than Oral Surgeons who I have seen for root canals, over the years, in different parts of the country. A few weeks later I came in for a cleaning. Tiffany did a terrific job. The cleaning was excellent and her very thorough inspection (and pictures) provided the Dentist the necessary information to do his work. Their technology seems to be state of the art allowing for excellent and efficient customer service. They show and explain everything in detail. They are not cheap but nothing worthwhile is. I definitely recommend.

I am completely blown away by how amazing Dr. Donaghey & his staff are. I went in for a visit yesterday because I was having issues with my gums & from start to finish everyone from the front office to the hygienist was so nice, professional & compassionate! I also have to brag on them just a little bit more because I seen them for a cleaning & for some work about 7 months ago & again, the service was exceptional! I had to reschedule an appointment & was put on a waiting list & let me tell you- it has been my experience that people rarely get back in touch with you, but Teresa not only got back in touch with me, but was so kind. I also had a similar experience with Dr. Donaghey. He had a baby that was teething & so did I & he couldn’t remember the great gel they used, but he contacted his wife & told me before I left the office!!! Phenomenal right! And also, I can’t fail to mention how much Sandy has helped me as well. She suggested things I could do to alleviate my pain before my appointment & it all worked!!! Kelly & the hygienists have always been nice as well. So suffice it to say- these people are outstanding & will treat you like family. So, if your looking for a competent dentist with a competent team of people surrounding him———book an appointment at O’Brien Dental!!

After my former dentist relocated, a friend recommended this location to me. Yesterday was my third visit to the office. I went in for my 6 month cleaning. I originally had an appointment scheduled in March but had to cancel due to other obligations. The staff put me on a wait list and reached out to me faithfully every week whenever they had a cancellation to see if I wanted that spot. I am very appreciative of that. During my visit on yesterday, I will admit that the hygienist was very friendly, yet also rough during the cleaning. There were times when she pressed into my face with her arm so much that I couldn't open my left eye. She leaned her body into my head alot and at one point when trying to reach my wisdom teeth, she yanked my mouth but realizing she did that, she apologized stating it wasn't intentional. I don't feel like the roughness was intentional and she was unaware of my discomfort because I'm not one to complain. However, I left the with very sore gums. For my next cleaning, I will request the hygienist I had the first time as I recall her being so gentle that I was surprised she was finished at the end. Overall, I've only had this one rough cleaning but all other services have been extremely great. Dr. D always seem concerned about my dental health and the best options for my situation and comfort.
