I love LOVE love this place! I, like so many others I have read about, have dreaded the thought of going to the dentist, especially after neglecting to keep up maintenance: i.e.;routine exams, fillings, etc. After FINALLY trying their office, I was relieved and sold on everything from the patient care, the level of service, the up-to-date services and equipment they utilize, AND the pain-free appointment I was blessed to have been able to experience as more than one of my back teeth were (none visible to anyone!) removed on each side without having to even request "sedation," which is available as an option for this service. I was able to coax right thru having a total of FOUR back teeth (2 on each side) pulled in one appointment, although, beforehand, thinking about it, I was tempted several times to call prior to that day and ask for more than one appointment for this but ended up just biting the bullet. And I am 1000% without ANY regrets that I went thru with having it all done in one appointment. Being behind and overwhelmed for many years, scared of all the possible problems I had created by not keeping up with routine visits and follow-ups, it was scary just to step into a dental office at all. I found getting so much done at once, and then, to top it off, having NO pain at all during or after the appointment, just completely overwhelming (in a GOOD way!!) and surreal....AND... I am NOT exaggerating... I mean who goes in and has that much done at once without feeling freaked out? SO, if you are reading this and looking for somewhere to go, that is why I am writing this review. From my initial visit on, my experience was way better than expected before finally finding this office. I was especially sold on Dr. Koplon (the son) and their staff. Being able to knock out such a huge chunk of something so dreaded allows me to be one step closer to getting to the "fun" part of possibly some cosmetic work to break up the continuing dental health I will have to continue to have restored from waiting too long...But at least I can look forward to continuing my care as I have found my dental "home" for the next 20 years, or more, hopefully!! Thanks to the doctor(s) and staff for a great experience!

Absolutely LOVE this dentist office!! I was in the office today for a teeth cleaning, and bleaching. I was a new patient, so of course I was a little nervous finding a new dentist. As someone who has anxiety with dentistry, I was very happy with my experience. The office is very welcoming. The front desk staff greets you with a smile. My hygienist Lindsey was wonderful. Very kind, and comforting. My teeth are nice and bright. Dr. Adam was very knowledgeable. I thought I had a cavity, but I was wrong. I will definitely be returning to this office!

I cannot say enough about BOTH Dr. Koplins and ALL of their staff. For years I lived with gaps and always thought I couldn’t afford to do anything. I went to other Dentist who wanted to do veneers or crowns on every one of my teeth which was absolutely not an option. The beautiful Francine was cleaning my teeth and we discussed it. He has been the most loving, kind, gentle, Dr. our family has ever had the pleasure of knowing, and working with. His staff is first rate. I have never had any type of negative encounter with any of his staff, from admin to hygienists. The love and kindness that Dr. Koplon and his family of staff provide, is not only their standard, but it is their way of life. My daughter is now 15, and is preparing for a major oral, facial surgery, to reconstruct a severe jaw defect. And although we are blessed with a first class team, in our orthodontist and our reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Koplon is at the center of it all. Even though I have complete trust and faith in these other doctors, Dr. Koplon and his staff have provided years of loving care for my family, and I cannot imagine considering any other doctors care for my child without first consulting him. I have always had anxiety when it comes to getting dental work done, because I have had so much work done with bad experiences. I told them that I was nervous and they made sure to make me as comfortable as possible! They truly genuinely care about your wants and needs and they make it happen. They are all super nice. But unfortunately the tooth extraction I had turned out to be a disaster. After the bottom tooth extraction, the bone had broke and was poking through the skin scraping my tongue for days until I pulled it out. It hurt so bad!!!. They had me come in every other day to get a couple pain meds and silver nitrate on my wound. I did this for like a week. I finally asked for antibiotics and they have me that and silver nitrate. None of that work I couldn't take it anymore! So I went to an oral surgeon. He told me that it was a disaster , to immediately stop the silver nitrate. The silver nitrate was disolving my skin away exposing the bone causing the bone to turn black and not heal. Everytime the silver nitrate was applied it was causing everything to become worse and worse I'm so disappointed. I thought I could trust what they wanted me to do. Now I have to be in pain and wait 4 weeks to 6 months to heal. So disappointed..

Koplon is a crook. As long as I was there I was being pushed to getting about 3 cavities crowned. I’ve since changed dentist multiple times and not any word has been brought on these so called cavities. Oh yes the hospitality is there but it’s all a show to get to your pockets for some kind of procedures that’s really not needed. If you decide to stick with koplon I just recommend seeing other dentists if he pushes you to get some kind of extra work done on your teeth.

Mr. Koplon and Mr. Adam have never hesitated in giving me the care I needed no matter the situation. This office is passionate about making patients feel safe and comfortable. The staff is kind and they have a great bedside manner. They make the hard procedures easy and the pricing for their services is below the average for the Birmingham metro. I checked around. Dr. Koplon is very skilled and is easy to talk to and understand. He takes the time to explain what is going on and more importantly, he really makes the effort to keep the discomfort to a minimum. After I had my first root canal, he called my home that night just to check on me and make sure I was resting comfortably. That was so nice as he knew I was unusually nervous about having the procedure and what would happen to the site after I left. The whole process was really no big deal. I credit him and his staff for that. I recommend this office without any reservation whatsoever.

I have been going to Dr Koplon for around 4 years now. My experience has always been great for cleanings and small fixes. I saw Dr Adam today, for a small filling. I will definitely go back for more major dental work. The staff has always been kind and professional until today. The office was unusually loud today. One of the ladies at the front desk was not very professional on check out. Nothing terrible, but I had to ask if she could help me with check out. Dr Adam's assistant was new, so I will give her the benefit of that. Her breath was offensive with cigarette odor though. That is never good. Until today I would have rated them with five stars. Hopefully this was just an off day.

I had X-rays and cleaning, and thought it was so nice when the Dental Hygientist took the time while cleaning to explain what she was doing, in great detail. I like the staff but as for there WORK it ISN'T worth a bit. I have been trying to get my upper and my lower teeth done correct. I owe then about $1,800.00 But they haven't made me happy with their work. Dr. Koplyn measured me for my third pair of teeth,when I went back to get them to fit correct and they are still not fitting. Dr. Koplon has been my dentist for almost 15 years. When I first started going to him I lived down the road from the office. Now I live 40 minutes away but drive the extra distance because its worth it. The office staff does their best to get you in promptly when you have a problem and are always friendly. Excellent Service. I called this office on a Friday afternoon for an emergency appointment. The assistant that answered was extremely genuine with her concern for my pain. She said they were totally booked but because of her concern she said "oh my goodness, they are gonna kill me but if you can make it here, they will see you". I have been a patient of Dr. Scott Koplon for eighteen years and he has done many procedures for me including root canals, extractions and implants. His work is excellent. He is by far the best dentist I’ve had of the approximately 25 dentists I’ve had over four states and the military. Part of his expertise can be attributed to his commitment to continued education including training at Harvard University. Many reviews document his excellent skills in dentistry. I would like to address another demention of his practice. When I first became a patient of the Koplon Clinic I was close to death from Leukemia. 100% of my bone marrow tested positive for cancer. MD Anderson put me on a trial of a new medicine. Within five months I was in remission, 0% of my marrow tested positive for cancer. Neither my local oncologist nor a single member of his medical or administrative staff said one positive comment to me about this miraculous turnaround. At my next appointment with Dr. Koplon, I mentioned my good news to a member of his staff. I soon heard the news traveling up and down the halls of of the dental office. Staff members began filing into the exam room and congratulating me on my wonderful news. I had never seen many of these people. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Koplon and his staff for showing such kind concern for me and for sharing their joy over this miraculous turnaround in my health which has resulted in an 18 year and counting extension of my life. The point I am trying to make is that with the Koplon Clinic, you become not just a patient, but a member of his family. Thank you Dr. Koplon!
