BEST dance studio in the Milwaukee area. It’s well run, very experienced teachers and so many different classes to chose from. The older girls at the studio take care of the younger kids and take them under their wings. The recitals are run with precision and are so artfully put together. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have been a part of this studio since age 2. I went through the Technique Intensive program and competitive program through middle school, and continued to take classes while in high school. This program gave me an excellent foundation of technique, and I was able to go on to be successful on my high school and college dance team. Something I love about YDA is that there is a class for everyone at every level! They truly inspire kids to have a love of dance. I am thankful for my experience and wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

Despite her busy schedule, she is always eager and excited to go to dance. She has grown to be a beautiful dancer under the guidance of the talented instructors. This is our first year at YDA and I am already so incredibly impressed! Both of my daughters absolutely love their teachers and the structure of the classes. They are having fun while also being challenged. I love that there is an abundance of assistants to provide additional support in class as well. The teachers are engaging not only with students but with parents too. They take notice of each student's progress and provide feedback, which I think is wonderful. Very professional and organized studio! I'm thrilled that we switched to YDA!

The teachers are outstanding. Both of my girls dance there with complete opposite personalities. One is very shy and timid the other very outspoken and a handful. They have both been bale to excel in class as well as everyday life and I have the staff to thank for that. I love that on the younger aged classes there are numerous helpers to keep the kids on track and correct them so that they are learning to their fullest potential.

My daughter has attended this dance studio for 2 years now. The experience has been nothing but positive. The teachers are amazing, the assistants in the class are so nice, and then entire atmosphere of the place is excellent. The talent and skills of these dancers and this studio is hands down the best. Most recently we also held a 6th birthday party for my daughter at the studio. There was 15 kids and they had their nails painted, hair done, face painting, played bingo, parachute, and of course dancing. I had many contacts with parents about not only the party being one of the best parties and that is all they talk about but also about starting at the studio after their amazement of the place. The birthday party was run so smooth and they were kept busy with a ton of fun. The best part of it all is that the decorations, set up, clean up, all necessary plates, napkins, silverwear, snacks, and juice was all included in the cost so it made things so easy on us as well. We would easily and will always recommend this studio to everyone for dance or a party! I could never thank the people at this studio enough for all their hard work and dedication to these students.

Though the competitive dancer are top notch, YDA is also a great environment for the dance who is not necessarily interested in competitive dancing. With the old dance academy, the children on stage 'copied' their teacher instead of knowind the dance. After the very first recital with Young Dance, I was TOTALLY impressed with how much the girls had learned. ALL of their performances were done without the aid of their teacher. They both have learned so much, I love when they come over and show me what they have learned and parts of the dances for the upcoming shows. Since coming to YDA, my girls have made great friends and learned valuable life lessons during their dance classes. The Teachers at YDA, value the art of truly teaching to learn and grow. Not every child will have the same talent, but all kids can feel value and identity in the way they are encouraged to develop their strengths through dancing. There are many opportunities at YDA to take a variety of classes and at different levels of strength. From jazz and tap to hip hop and musical theater, there is a class for almost every child to explore, learn and grow. I would most definitely recommend YDA to any parent looking for a dance school for their children and encourage them to check YDA out by watching their recitals in June.
