APA has an amazing staff that is always well organized and even more important, incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome. They are always happy to help you select a class, answer questions, and provide the best experience. The recitals are absolutely amazing! Last year's Newsies was incredible! I'm still amazed on how well of a production they put on. APA is an amazing studio that offers great classes and you will feel part of a family.

I grew up in a dance family, so I knew exactly what I needed for my sweet little girl: a positive first experience that would get her excited about dance. We got exactly that at APA. We took the parent and tot class together when she was two, just finished the pre-ballet summer program, and she is so excited to start the three-year-old combo class in two weeks. Ms. Amy is the absolute best with young kids, and the studio has organization down to a fine science. I never could’ve imagined the recital process (Spring “Showcase”) being so smooth and seamless with such a large studio, but it certainly was. And I’m also continually impressed by their flexibility with make up lessons. We are looking forward to many more years with APA!

We also really enjoy that they keep their recitals a decent length; at our old studio, the recitals were 3-4 hours each which is very difficult if you have little ones!

Coming from a mom who has ZERO experience in the "dance world," I have been so impressed with the patience and care that the staff have already shown with both my daughter and myself. Trisha answered all of my questions, gave my excited daughter a tour and fitted her shoes when we went into scope it out. She spoke with my daughter in a loving, age appropriate way that matched the excitement she was showing. Based on this, I would highly recommend APA for "novices" like us, and look forward to this new adventure :)

Bellies are totally covered, instead of being two piece outfits.There is a variety of classes to take too! Ballet, tap, poms, jazz, hip hop, contemporary....there is something for everyone! We love APA!

My daughter is in her 7th year of dancing at the academy! We have been in 4 different types of classes from the young child combo class to the jazz/tap/ballet. We have nothing but great experiences with every class she has taken and she has learned a lot about what she can do! Being at the studio has given her confidence and has also challenged her to do and try new things! The teachers and assistants have all been wonderful! This is our first year being on the Jr. Prep dance team. They are great at organizing the talent so that each child fits in where he/she should. We found this studio when my older daughter wanted to take acting class. My younger daughter took a dance class because she thought it would be fun. That was over 3 years ago. Since then, I have seen my daughter develop a passion for dance in a way I never imagined. I thank the talented teachers for their dedication. I love that this studio is able to offer this caliber of instruction at a tuition cost parents can afford. I can't imagine being any other place.

My two daughters have been a part of the APA family for over 10 years and I feel so blessed to have them in our lives. The teachers are supportive and tough when needed but so caring when there may be an issue. I trust the teachers will teach my daughter with their whole heart and when I see them perform, I am so amazed at yet another beautiful awesome dance routine. I have to give extra props to Trisha because without this AMAZING woman, I would be lost. She is THE most helpful, sweet person and I truly know that APA could not run without her. My daughter has been with APA for three years and she absolutely loves it. They have a wide variety of classes. They use the same costumes for both winter and spring showcases, they don’t force you to spend a ton of money on multiple costumes. The instructors are so patient and caring. The studio is state of the art.

My daughters experience at APA was a waste of money. When she joined, she loved to dance and Miss Heather was very good at making sure the kids had fun. However, the next year, my daughter wanted to join the competitive program. Their auditions were a group of kids wearing numbers, standing in front of judgemental dance teachers. Although it was intimidating, APA teaches no technique or the proper way to dance. They put themselves on a pedestal, bragging about being professional and mature. If your child is looking for serious dance instruction, I do not recommend APA. These teachers have no professional dance experience. On another note, my daughter faced girls who would put her down, teachers who would pick favorites, and parents who gossiped. She came out of class almost every night crying, saying she isn’t good enough or that she feels too much pressure put on her. These teachers single out dancers who don’t have the abilities they are “looking for” and complain too much about how they aren’t doing things right. APA completely shattered my daughters self esteem. In summary, APA was pocket draining and a waste of time. I wish I brought my daughter to Young Dance Academy sooner. They provide much better results and are ten times kinder.

I was really bummed that my daughter was going to have to miss one of her lessons at the Franklin location due to not feeling well , then I was told she could make up her class at the Oakcreek location. It was a great experience to see how another instructor taught the clas me && I was not disappointed. Staff is very friendly!

I really wanted this to be our dance school and it seemed great until recital time. At the rehearsal my five-year-old was called out while she was on stage for wearing the wrong color shoes. It wasn't that this didn't need to be corrected, but calling out a five-year-old in front of an auditorium full of people is absolutely inexcusable. We were told that she needed the correct shoe color and wouldn't be allowed to dance because parents won't buy the dance photos if not everyone is wearing the same shoe. Our option is that she could dance the recital barefoot - which she didn't want to do and spent a good chunk of the night crying. We did ask for and were granted a refund of all future sessions. This is suppose to be a school - teaching skills, building confidence. My daughter's confidence was shattered at APA. We will not be back. Once again, It wasn't that this didn't need to be corrected, but calling out a five-year-old in front of an auditorium full of people is absolutely inexcusable.

My daughter is 3. Last year she did the mommy and me ballet class and had a hard time adjusting. APA was so patient with her and continued to engage her even when she wasn’t participating. I also signed her up for the pre school and I can’t say enough about their program. The teachers are amazing. I will recommend over and over again!

All of the APA staff and teachers are nothing but professional and always have the best interests of their students in mind. The staff is extremely helpful and approachable. My son was also able to take a hip-hop class when he was 4yrs old. All the teachers are great at what they do, and are very friendly. The winter and spring showcases are so organized, and such a treat to see. They hold a high standard for dancing. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is wanting to get their child in dance. They have many other services too, from acting, to guitar lessons, to preschool.

I just read that another family was treated badly by this studio. This studio only cares about the money and definitely not the children's best interest. They also discriminate against people of color. Because of our bad treatment by this studio we have filed a complaint with The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Agency. The complaint is public record and will be on file for 3 years. You can read it for yourself and make up your mind. Complaint number 70598. This treatment devistated our child and there was no compassion by the owner Stacy of the mistreatment of our child.

We moved to Oak Creek 5 years ago and enrolled or daughter into rec classes as a way for her to make new friends. And now 5 years later she is a beautiful dancer. Seeing the passion for dance in her eyes and how elegant she is when she dances is amazing. APA has amazing teacher's, (and of course Tricia rocks :)! All of the staff has pushed our daughter to be a stronger and more confident dancer. Every year her skills and technique become better and stronger. My wife and I sent our daughter to APA when she turned 3 for their preschool program at Oak Creek. Her teachers Michelle and Lisa were fantastic and are state licensed teachers. Small class sizes (I believe 12 students max) with 2 teachers offers high personal attention to each child in class. I also like that they were exposed to dance, art, and tumbling during school. My daughter ended up enrolling in ballet & tap classes there as a result, starting her 3rd year with APA this fall. It is also nice that they use same dance costumes for spring and fall for each class to help keep costs down. We also just enrolled our 2 year old in dance class for this fall and I’m certain we will send her to APA for preschool next year. APA is a great organization with caring people who are generous stewards for the success of he schools and youth in the Oak Creek & Franklin communities!!!

My son Gavin has been attending The Academy of Performing Arts since they first opened. He loves dancing and he loves how caring and friendly the staff are. He was asked to join two other dance schools but turned them down. He did not want to leave The Academy. He started in ballet/jazz, then went to boys hip hop. Now he is on the competitive dance team. He has gained a lot of confidence and the ability to express himself in front of peers without feeling self conscience. Gavin has to juggle little league, the traveling baseball team, basketball, football and hip hop. But he does not want to give up hip hop. He has been attending for 7 years and plans on staying there. I love that the staff knows us and is very helpful and understanding with different situations that have risen. She has tried a different dance class each year for variety and has enjoyed every one. All of the teachers have been great. Stacy & the front desk staff are amazing - they always help or answer any questions I have quickly & they are so friendly. A monthly newsletter is e-mailed to help you keep track of important dates & info. APA gives back so much to its students & the community with birthday treats, recital books, holiday events, and community partnership events & drives. I feel that the class prices are a great value, we receive a multi-class discount and the same dance recital outfit is used for both the December & June recital. There is never any pressure to perform in a recital, it is all voluntary. My daughter enjoys APA so much that she has performed in every piano & dance recital available to her. The bottom line is that our family has been extremely happy with APA & all that they offer.

We have been with APA for 3 1/2 seasons an we love it.we started with Mommy and Me and are working our way to Jazz, Ballet, and Poms! If any type of issue has appeared they have always done their best to resolve it as quickly as possible. I have definitely seen my daughter grow as a person and a dancer. One of the reasons we continue is because of Miss Heather. I really like her style of teaching and her personality. She encourages the kids to be creative but yet focused. Because of some of those skills we have learned and dance class I notice now in 4K my daughter knows how to lineup, how to wait , and how to be patient.

My daughter is 9 years old and has been in dance for almost 7 years. 5 years at a different local dance school and 2 years at APA Oak Creek. We decided to make the switch after many years, to APA and my daughter absolutely loves it! My daughter takes singing/piano, rec dance, acro and her 1st year of competitive dance. She loves the competition team and we feel APA is a great fit for her. She has been more motivated since starting at The Academy of Performing Arts - Oak Creek, and focused on improving, rather than just an afterschool activity. The nice thing about APA is they do have different levels, so if you just want to do one night a week for an hour, you can. If you want to be there 5 days a week, you can do that too! Everyone is so friendly and caring (teachers, students, parents and Trisha). My daughter has made many new friends already and loves all of her teachers. My daughter started at APA Oak Creek when she was 5. We loved the staff and classes. Only switched to Franklin for schedule of classes. The days and times worked better for us in Franklin. Highly recommend APA.

My daughter started with The Academy 3 years ago and flourished that first year. Unfortunately we had to move further away after that first year and jumped from studio to studio trying to find that same experience we had with The Academy. This year we decided to travel to Oakcreek so she could dance with the competitive dance team at The Academy. She absolutely loves it and has already shown improvement just in the first couple of weeks. The studio is so organized, helpful and informative. All the teachers are well prepared and knowledgeable in their art. We are feeling very relieved that we are back at The Academy. We can't wait for the competitions and recitals this year!!!

My daughter just started her 6th year at The Academy of Performing Arts in Oak Creek. Every year there is a winter showcase and a spring showcase where your child can perform in one or more shows. There is also and opportunity to be in the Franklin or Oak Creek parade which my daughter has done for the last five years. Before she came here, she danced at Next Step in Franklin where she was treated like a number. After 3 years there, her dance teacher still didn't know her name and then made her repeat a class two years in a row without an explanation. If you needed to ask a question, you were lucky to find a staff person working. Then we found out about the Academy so we switched and it was a completely different experience! All the girls are treated with respect and kindness no matter what level of dancer they are. The dance teachers are very experienced and talented and make the classes fun for everyone. They don't discriminate... you can bring your son too! The staff is always there to help and they are really friendly. Stacy, the owner, is very involved in the studio and keeps adding new classes and events every year. This year there was a pot luck lunch in the park where all the dancers and parents could bring food and get to know each other. There are also fundraisers that you can participate in that help with your monthly tuition cost. The classes are reasonably priced and you get a discount with each additional class you take. There is a wide range of classes to take- breakdancing, hip-hop, ballet, tap, jazz, poms, piano, guitar, voice, acting and more. My daughter is on a competitive team where she gets to compete at different locations throughout the year. She loves her dance teacher and the girls she dances with. They also have another studio in Franklin which just opened last year. I highly recommend this studio for your child. I have not had one bad experience here.

We have been attending APA in Oak Creek since my daughter was 2.5. She has made some great friends, and learned more ballet skills than I would have expected. The classes are structured, and the facility is clean and comfortable. We have no complaints, and plan to continue with classes there as long as my daughter is keeping her interest.

We are so thankful we found this dance studio! My daughter started dancing there when she was three and has loved it since. We have now signed her little sister up. The prices are competitive and the children are actually learning techniques, not just running wild. The teachers are so nice, patient, and professional. We will be going here for years to come.

My daughter dances at the Franklin location and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we have had here. At first entrance to the studio the staff is smiling and friendly and quickly learned my daughters name and always addresses her when we walk in the door. The teachers are professional, smiling, and run exceptional dance classes. My daughter loves dancing and looks forward to this class every week and I truly believe this is because of the care at this studio. The classes are small in size and I get to watch from a two way glass window which is so great for me!! I will send my daughter to this studio as long as she wants to dance!
