Terrific dance studio! My daughter has happily been dancing at RNM for 6 years and absolutely loves it! Ms. Ward and her instructional staff have been instrumental in my daughter's dance growth and maturity! The highly competent and skilled instructors nurture hard work, dedication, professionalism and a love of dance. RNM has afforded my daughter many dance experiences and opportunities in NY, DC, and WV's very own WV Dance Festival in Charleston. Additionally, my daughter has danced with Ms. Ward's Ballet company, Turning Pointe, in Cinderella, Nutcracker and Swan Lake performances. Most recently, my daughter attended WVU's Summer Dance Intensive in Morgantown. This is definitely a studio that will foster a future dance professional, as well as provide a safe, educational, and fun learning environment in all dance disciplines for your child!

I'm not sure what all the complaining is about. Dance is a commitment that takes time. If you want to just take one class a week and not be challenged, then this isn't the place for you. The owner challenges kids to better themselves and not just be there to be there. The prices reflect the skills the kids are being taught. The owner is a trained dance teacher, not someone who just walked in off the street. She definitely knows what shes talking about and she works hard at this. All she asks is that her students share her passion and dedication to dance. You will be hard pressed to find a good studio that doesn't require a certain type of dance to be taken. Ballet helps in all types of dance. Once again, maybe a professional type dance studio isn't for you and your dancer, maybe a studio that is more geared toward a once a week, recreational type dance is best for your dancer. I also suggest you learn proper spelling and grammar before criticizing someone else's abilities.

Being a military family is difficult on my children and coming here right before my oldest daughter’s senior year was no exception. Kat Ward and the rest of her staff made the transition seamless and provided a safe, fun, and reliable dance experience. My youngest also dances at RNM and has grown in dance more in the last year than she did in two years at our previous studio. My oldest daughter is now pursuing her BFA in Dance and I attribute much of that to the fantastic experience she had at RNM.

I am here to tell you this is the worst dance studio you could ever put your child in. My daughter danced at RNM before the famous Kat Ward took over and it was a wonderful place for her to dance AND HAVE FUN, now it has turned into nothing but not only a money hungry owner, but someone who clearly shows nothing but favoritism! My daughter used to love to go to dance before Kat came into the picture. She truly cares nothing about her students but is all about the money. She disrespected my daughter, along with her so called team! I am determined to convince everyone that this is a horrible environment for your child to be in. You used to pay for dance by the class, now its by the hour. Of course certain students can do what they want and show up late, but others are pointed out for that. Speaking of showing up late...........how about the couple of times when my daughter went up for class, was dropped off, and no one ever showed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also classes a good amount of the time, now that they are charged by the hour, didn't even start on time!!!!!!!!!!!!!Due to the fact that the owner was busy doing her chit chatting up at the front desk! I had a chance to speak with the previous owner and explained what has gone on with this studio since KAT has taken over, and do you know what he and his wife said to me.........."we here this all the time, when we ran the studio it was intended to be a FUN, SAFE place for kids to come and dance." Well guess what, it isn't that anymore. Of course the people on here who say how wonderful this dance studio is are the ones who have the kids who are favored. Kat Ward had the audacitiy to call the girls that dance at Extreme little, I will use a different word then what she used, lets just say hookers. I have gotten to know the daughter of the owner of the dance studio.....Extreme, and I am here to tell you they truly care about their students, NOT JUST ABOUT THE CASH! I am taking this to the Better Business Bureau, if I can convince just one person by posting this NOT TO SEND YOUR CHILD HERE, I will truly be satisfied. I am doing this for my daughter who came home in tears, that was kicked out, and never got to dance her Senior solo.

Rhythm N Motion is truly an up and coming dance school that will teach the young students the true art form of dance. This is a pre-professional school, teaching dance etiquette, discipline and the correct technique for dance. This school is not for everyone but it is for those parents that are looking to invest their child's interest in dance. If your child is interested in dance, ALL forms of dance, then RNM is right for them, however, the base of ALL Dance forms is Ballet. So, yes the art of discipline is learned through Ballet and any great dancer still takes Ballet. Just go ask all the professionals - the ones that we have had the opportunity to meet through RNM. Ms. Ward has afforded the opportunities to my daughter to meet the Rocketts, Melanie Moore, Mia Michaels, Stacey Tookey, Yoav Kaddar. General Hambrick, Barry Blaumenstein, and Joshua Legg who is on staff and who was just featured in WV Living for his newly published book, An Introduction to Modern Dance Technique. I highly recommend RNM for any one who wants to learn the correct techniques of dance. Well worth the money, just come watch their productions.

This studio is horrible! Every class starts 15 minutes late garenteed everytime, if not later! Sometimes up to a half an hour! The teacher (Kat Ward), also the owner, will be sitting up at the front desk talking and doing what she needs to do while your dance class (which is paid for by the hour) is being wasted! Ballet is 4 hours a week no matter what your circumstances are. Even if your just taking hip hop! I was paying 200$ a month for two classes. The prices are outrageous compared to other studios. The money is defently not worth it. Not only are classes started late for every class, there is WAY to much favortism. All of the girls are treated very unfairly. It's clear to me that the owner does not care about having the studio open for the kids its for the money. The studio was a great place and very fun before the new owner bought the studio. My child loves to dance but dreads going there every time she has to go. Also, the teachers do not have any experience. For example the tap teacher. When her old teacher quit she brought in some one who had never even took tap before in there life to teach until she got a new teacher. Now she has a new teacher who doesnt even know as much as the advanced girls do. I've been told they have to tell him what certain dance steps are. That it totally ridiculous for the crazy prices you have to pay. Next year shes making it required that you take 6 hours of ballet a week. If you go here i hope you like ballet, but don't waste your money on this poor management. Its a very bad environment to have your kids dance in. All the kids i've talked to have said they dont like dance anymore which is sad. Don't waste your money here its a joke.
