I have take two dance classes at Crown. I found the instructor/owner Abe extremely good - making sure the students drilled the dance patterns before moving to a new pattern. I went by myself but felt welcome by both him and the students who were regulars. Also very affordable.

The dance instructors were very helpful and professional. They had a lot of knowledge and skill and provided me good one-on-one coaching. The one thing I didn't like was that there wasn't enough young girls to dance with who were closer to my age. I'm 29 years old and most of their client base was older women in their 40s and 50s. They need to do a better job of attracting younger people.

Crown Dance Studio is probably one of the best if not the best dance studio in the D.C., Maryland, Virginia area. Enormous facility, easily the biggest dance studio I have been to. They have 2 rooms, the main dance floor and a smaller room, so there is plenty of space. Whether you are a beginner, aiming to compete or learning for a special occasion, you will definitely get your money's worth. The instructors are wonderful and will certainly take into consideration what you are goals are. They offer community classes several times during the week, which is alot of fun. The studio almost transforms into a club-like atmosphere and everyone who attends is pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended! You wont regret it.

Darrell from Crown Dance Studio was an exceptional dance teacher. We went a little more upbeat first dance song for our wedding. My husband lacks in the dancing department so I knew this was going to be a challenge. Darrell was the best teacher we could ask for. He was very patient with my husband and I. He made us laugh and made each lesson very enjoyable. Thanks to Darrell, by the end of the fourth lesson, we had learned the dance steps and even had a small routine. When the day came for our dance, it went great. We received so many compliments about how nice the dance looked. If you are looking for a dance teacher, I would highly recommend Darrell from Crown Dance Studio, he was very easy to work with, very kind and patient. You will not regret hiring him or any of the other dancers from Crown Dance Studio!

I take the intermediate bachata and salsa classes on Wednesdays. The instructors teach great techniques, patterns, and make classes so much fun at a great price! Abraham is one of the best instructors in the area who focuses on details, foot work, posture, and much more. I highly recommend crown Dance Studio!

First, I would say their price range is very reasonable compared to other studios. The staff there are friendly. We've met Abraham and Carlos, both of them are experienced and funny. Abraham helped us with our first dance. I did not know how to dance at all, but I think the overall learning process is very smooth.

When my wife and I first came to Crown Dance Studio, we didn't really know what to expect. While we weren't looking for a "royal ball" first dance we wanted to find someone capable of teaching us some simple techniques that would impress our friends and family -- anything to avoid being the usual "sway back-and-forth" routine most folks see at a wedding. Abraham, the lead instructor, happily took on the role of our private tutor and was so patient with us. He first started teaching us basic posture and how to walk. With each lesson he gradually taught us new, more advanced techniques until towards the end he pieced together our entire routine so that it came out very smooth. I cannot thank Abraham enough for being such a wonderful teacher. I loved that he challenged us and kept pushing us to succeed, especially during those days when we were tired as heck coming off of work and got frustrated with each other that we couldn't get the techniques right. My wife and I found ourselves a new hobby to do together.

He is able to break the steps and concepts down in an easily understandable way. He is patient, kind, and funny! Abraham, the owner is great too. Abraham choreographed our first dance for our wedding this passed June. He did an amazing job - he is a very talented dancer and was able to teach us, non-dancers, how to move on the floor and show emotion during dance, not just purely repeat the steps. I go to the salsa/ bachata class on Wednesday nights. They have a beginner and intermediate group. This is a great class for people that are new to dance but want to try. The instructors are very friendly and take the time to explain the steps you don't understand. For $12 it's an excellent value and I promise you'll have fun!

The teachers are very attentive, thoughtful and encouraging. Even in a group class setting, they always find time to answer all questions, demonstrate dance moves, provide feedback, and allow sufficient time to practice. The school attracts a great group of students, who are very friendly, patient with beginners, and find time to go out and dance socially. Overall, highly recommend! Very nice and comfortable studio space as well. I started taking dance lessons in November of 2015 and keep on coming back. It’s amazing how quickly I went from being very uncomfortable on a dance floor (salsa being the hardest dance for me) to going out and dancing in public.

I used to be the awkward guy who was terrified of the dance floor, but decided on a whim to sign up for one of Abraham Sannoh's salsa and bachata workshops. To my great surprise, I found that I really enjoyed dancing, and decided to keep taking lessons at at Crown Dance Studio. Six months later I find myself regularly going out social dancing, and I'm having a blast learning new things and meeting interesting people. Abe and his small team of instructors are not only skilled dancers, they're also dedicated to their students and obviously care about seeing their students improve. (They also have seemingly infinite patience, which is great for a slow learner like me.) I wish that I had tried dancing earlier in life (I'm 26 years old), but it's never too late to start, and Crown Dance Studio is a great place to do so.
