I love Turning Pointe! Why would a 40-something man love a dance studio??? Because my daughter loves it here, and has been dancing for 5+ years. Her instructors and friends she made here are very influential in her life. The instruction is very good. Girls are encouraged and pushed to do their best, but there is no pressure to be an elite ballet dancer. For our family, it is the right mix of intensity and focus without letting dance take over your life. The bi-annual performances (Dec and May) are the highlights of the year. The students show off their moves, and you sit in awe enjoying the music and the results of the hard work they all have put into the program over the prior 6 months.

I highly recommend this dance company. I believe this is our 8th spectacular year here. I love Turning Point. The dancing instruction is exceptional. When choosing a dance company it was important to find a place that supported our family’s values and morals and biblical character. This place is the real deal. Not only do they dance to glorify our God, but it is like a family. Amy and Abby have attended my daughters baptism, have been involved in her life’s ups and downs, have cried with us, prayed with us and loved my girls so well. There is something spectacular that happens within those walls. The relationships that are built in class, with teachers and with other family’s is beautiful. I am thankful that this dance company does more than merely teach dance. Most positive experience in dance we have ever had.

Turning Pointe Dance Studio is a family. Through the years the girls, have supported each other, encouraged each other and even keep each other accountable. The teachers keep choreography fresh and challenge their students to do more than they think they could ever accomplish. And then the moment at dress rehearsal that the vision all comes together (and they bring tears to the teachers and parent's eyes), that moment they know all the hard work paid off. There is something for everyone at Turning Pointe. If you like community performances, there is a team for that. If you want to come once a week to learn basic techniques and develop a JOY for dance, there are classes for you. If you want to take dance to the "next level" with competition routines, there is a team for you. Turning Pointe staff go above and beyond to love on the next generation. To let them know that someone cares! They accomplish this through sharing their joy and passion for dance.

My daughter has been dancing here for 3 years, and she loves it. The staff are very nice. I love that the program is not high-pressure or ultra competitive. If your child wants to do more, compete more, and learn more, they have ample opportunity. But if they just enjoy dance and don't have 100 hours a week to do it, you can have that too. I also appreciate how appropriate all of the music and costumes are for the girls' age., and how the owner emphasizes family life in her scheduling.

The 2015-2016 season will be our 5th year at Turning Pointe Dance Studio. We have been dancing here since my youngest daughter was 3 in a Combo 1 class. My oldest did Beginning Ballet for two years to help with her dance skills for gymnastics floor exercise. Her floor routine is much more graceful since taking beginner ballet. I love the values of Turning Pointe and feel it is the best place for my daughter to dance. Amy and Abby do a fantastic job of making sure the music is tasteful and the costumes are age appropriate and class for both the recreational classes and Dance Company. Both of my girls learned a lot in the recreational classes. My youngest daughter is now a member of Dance Company and she has grown tremendously as a dancer the past year. The focus of being on the Dance Company has been very good for her. I feel that Amy's love for dance carried over in the Combo classes was a big part of my my little one loves dance so much and loves being on Dance Company. All of the instructors at Turning Pointe are fantastic and work on developing the girls characters as well as dance skills. We love it here and know you will too.

Amy, the owner runs every aspect of the studio with the highest ethical standards. She has instilled in her instructors that the development of the dancer's character is just as important as the development of their dance technique. I highly recommend this dance studio!

What drew us to this studio was the integrity with which they operate, the modest and appropriate music and costumes, and the emphasis on character. The instructors are kind, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. And their payment system is easy, smooth, and competitively-priced. I can not recommend Turning Pointe highly enough!

A lovely place with welcoming atmosphere. The instructors, the owner, and the front desk ladies are very kind and helpful. Very thoughtful with free coffee, a corner play area for toddlers with TV, comfy couches, and spacious two restrooms with a changing table. They sell ballet shoes, leotards, and other items for reasonable price (the lady was very patient with my picky ballerina). I do recommend this dance studio except one thing to mention/improve – the horrible smell!! It smells like an old lady’s perfume inside and it is too strong to breathe in there. some parents seem to be ok, but our family cannot stay inside so we have to drop off the kid and kill time at Kroger (another good thing – Kroger is so close), walk around, or stay in the car which can be hassle when the weather is bad, or we are sick. I think it is some kind of air freshener and I did mention to a front desk lady. She was very nice but extremely busy so maybe she forgot? It is the waiting area that smells and the two dance studios do not smell like that according to my ballerina, but it is unbearable so if you are sensitive to cleaning products or air freshener, stop by and check out first before signing up.

My daughter has been taking classes at Turning Pointe for 6 years, and she loves everything about it! The teachers are all so talented and loving, the dances and costumes are very tasteful, and the 2 recitals per year are the most incredible productions you will ever see. There truly is something for everyone, no matter what level of commitment you want. We started in the rec classes, and then moved to company to compete, which still allows time for other sports. This is by far the best studio in the area for young girls to learn all types of dance, and to grow into beautiful, classy dancers.

This place smells and all they do is tricks on stage. They don’t do much choreography but a lot of flips. I don’t recommend. If you look at their dancers and you can see that there is that one girl who bring her leg all the way to her face and then they lift her up and spin her, that’s it. I expect more than this. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
