My best friend’s daughter went here. The few times I picked her up from class the instructor was yelling at the kids to the point that some seemed scared of her. The recital was an unorganized disaster that seemed to be more about the owner than the kids. Not to mention it was extremely expensive for cheap costumes and a location that was an hour away. Needless to say, my friend did not enroll her daughter for the new season. This place is a joke!

We love Tip Tap Toe... very family oriented, she teaches them fundamentals of ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap and more!! Marie makes the girls feel confident about themselves and helps build relationships.

I was very unimpressed after the recital this past weekend. Marie is very unorganized and unprofessional. I tried for the last three months to give her the benefit of the doubt and was impressed at the cost of the baby class. BUT most of the class she spent talking about the personal problems in her life then yelling at the kids to focus because she just wasted our time and they got bored. Back to the recital to start we paid $50 for costumes that cost less then $20 on amazon. She measured our kids and they still needed to be extremely altered. In addition to the $50 there was a $55 "production fee" in which there were no decorations or signs as I have seen at previous dance recitals. My daughter was in the youngest class and was ripped from my arms before the recital to practice as moms were not allowed back. This led to tears and confusion. Fast forward to the show which had 34 performances, most of which were centered around her, her daughter, or the other instructors. She stopped performances and yelled across stage several times. When my daughter who is 2 went on for the tap performance she was yanked on the stage by the owners 5 yr old daughter who had no reason to be up there. Another little girl was crying and my daughter went over to her(the music still hadn't started at this point) Marie then yelled at her which brought her to tears. They did the dance and she yells across the stage to start the music again, we will do it without the criers. Then proceeds to PUSH my daughter off the stage to the point of her tripping. Needless to say we left and missed the Daddy Daughter Dance. We will not go back to this studio and I will tell everyone I come across not to bring their daughters to this disaster.

Very disappointed in recital last night.Not organized at all, clumped the kids all together and couldn't see the girls in the back. The owner danced a couple dances, not about you it's about our kid's. Most organized dance was the Father/Daughter. The older girls didn't know what their routine was. Sad.

Recently attended Tip Tap Toe's 2018 recital for a friend. Had my children enrolled several years prior and left due to the owner's short, curt interaction with all of the children, in general. She also lacked general tact and stage presence during our experience. Fast forward to now- this hasn't changed. While she has the ability to instruct students, her professional interactions are lacking. The 2018 recital was disorganized and not for trying by those who worked behind the scenes. Running a show isn't easy but disorganization and low-morale all starts at the top and trickles down.

This is my daughters 2nd year dancing here and she loves it so much that she begged to take 2 classes this season. At just 4 years old she is building so much confidence and sharpening her dance moves each week while having a great time doing it. I love that you can watch the children dance in the lobby on the TV, through the windows or in the dance hall itself (which I dont do because it distracts my little dancer). All the instructors have been great and we both look forward to dance days.

My daughter has been dancing for years. We tried other studios which were fine but none of them have inspired the level of confidence I've seen from tip tap toe. Marie the owner works day and night pouring her heart into the studio and the kids love her. My daughter has blossomed as a dancer and a young lady since her move to Tip Tap Toe. We love the laid back atmosphere and I as mom like being able to watch her from the lobby screen. She always leaves class tired which all moms know is a good sign. I love the support and encouragement she gets from her teachers and Marie! It really helps her grow. Finding a studio that works for everything you need can be daunting. But tip tap toe fits the bill easy.

The owner spends more time taking selfies and watching herself dance than she does with the kids. The show was mostly about her and her parading around on stage doing whatever she could do to make herself the center of attention. Class is like that too.

I was honestly very disappointed with my experience here, with this being the first year I was able to put my daughter in ballet classes. Rarely did I, or others, enter the door to be greeted with a hello or even a smile. Everything seemed to be a guessing game, ranging from when it was appropriate for the children to go into class, to whether or not classes had been cancelled. The general tone used with SOME of the children (outside of class) was enough to escalate any parents blood pressure. They seemed to only be teaching a routine, and not Ballet. The recital was extremely unorganized. My daughter had two rehearsals in the month and a half before, which made her first time ever being on stage even more intimidating. We paid 70 dollars for a very simple costume, a 55 dollar production fee, and 7 dollars a ticket. It was held at Wando high school, almost an hour drive from where classes are held. There were no signs, no decor, i never had a problem paying these things, I just never understood why. There were 34 performances, which was mostly a parade of the owner, the teachers and select children multiple times. There were a couple songs with very vulgar lyrics, and what I felt was inappropriate dancing for such young girls. The Daddy/daughter dance was a beautiful sentiment, but was also very unorganized. In conclusion, I was torn on leaving my review, but maybe if this was just an off year, it can help fix some problem areas for the business, and maybe save someone else the headache. Organization, communication and friendliness were my main issues with this business.
