As an alumni, I can say if you are looking for nurturing environment that pushes your child's excellence, not perfection, in dance, then you've come to the right place! The staff are fantastic humans who spend tireless amount of time pouring into and loving on your children! If you're skeptical even after the reviews, stop by and visit! There's a smile waiting for you!

Our experience with SLDA has been wonderful from the moment we walked in their door three years ago. Mrs. Whitney talked with me about their classes and their mission. Our daughter checked it out and told us that she couldn't wait to get started. She felt like she belonged here and that she was meant to dance with them. She has learned so much about dance and has blossomed into a very confident dancer. The staff at SLDA is a family and their dancers and their families are part of their family. We couldn't be happier at SLDA.

We went to their 11th recital last night. The Neeves/Branfuhr families have much to be proud of in producing this excellent in every way school of dance that nutures these girls in ways far beyond the dance. The academy has grown in eleven years to come close to filling the Christ United Methodist Church auditorium during their recital. They exemplify the qualities I want my grand daughters to learn in every way. God is glorified, faith is nurtured, friendship and family are supported in very positive ways. Costumes remain modest and appropriate for every girl. Competitiveness is held to what I think is good level. Every girl grows in grace every year...

This studio has been such a blessing to not just me but also my family! They have shown such love and care and guidance. I graduated 2 years ago and I still receive the same love and care from the staff as I did when I was a student! I love seeing how these students just worship the Lord through their dances. Seeing how God has worked in the teachers these past two years have just amazed me and just blessed my heart. I love the family atmosphere this studio has when walking in the front door. After a terrible experience with another dance studio, Silver Lining Dance Academy is just that, a silver lining. My daughter adores her teacher, Ms. Amber, and all of the staff here at this studio. They're all so helpful and kind. The studio itself is always clean and welcoming. My daughter has learned SO MUCH in the 5 months she's been here and I know we'll continue to come back here until she ages out! And even then, we'll always support this facility and it's wonderful staff!

I danced at Silver Lining for almost 3 years in high school. I loved it until I realized how truly hypocrital these girls are. They are selective in the types of girls they allow onto dance team, obviously. However, if anyone seems to act unusual or seem to "project a wrong image" to the younger girls, instead of talking to them to help or attempting to lift them up, they kick them off. This is the exact opposite of what it means to be a Christian. No one asked me what was happening to me or no asked me how I was. I was just gone, no one cared. This studio is the epitome of a Christian cookie cutter machine and I would strongly discourage anyone who wants to put a teenager/highschooler here. They exude exclusivity and judgement and it still affects me today.

My kids love dancing at Silver Lining Dance Academy. The staff is so caring and good at what they do. If you don't believe me, come to the show at Christ United Methodist Church across from Medieval Times on May 10th, 2014. They are doing two shows that day. The first is the little kids, they are so cute. Then they will do a three hour show of all the big kids. They do anything from Ballroom to Hip Hop to Ballet and everything in between. They are doing it all to Glorify God and they do that well!

They truly love their students here! My son loves this place so much and I love the family atmosphere and the time the put into each student emotionally as well as the excellent dance training. If you get the chance to attend the nutcracker put on by then or their showcase take it! The talent is incredible!

I was a student at Silver Lining for 10 years and the friendships that I made there I still have today! SLDA is not only a place to learn how to dance well, but it is a place where you learn to give your talents and skills back to the Lord, it’s a place where you make friendships that will last you through graduation, college, weddings, babies, and anything else life throws at you! You also gain a support system of teachers and students to lift you up and encourage you and point you towards God even when you don’t want to hear it which has been invaluable in my life! I want to say I couldn’t imagine my life without this studio, but I could, and it would have gone very differently. This place makes you feel welcome the moment you step through the door and hear Mrs Whitney cheerfully call every student and parent by name! I will forever be greatful for the lessons I learned, and continue to learn from my second home.
