At the Larew Centre, each teacher not only provides quality instruction for every student in the class, but takes the time to know each student, mentor each student, and guide them as they grow. The Larew Centre functions as a family. Classical training and a conservative dress code makes for a respectful and peaceful dance setting. The Larew Centre offers 2 story line shows per year, not your average recital. Every dancer is equally important to the staff, whether they are a recreational dancer, competitive dancer, ballet competitive dancer, national scholarship dancer, or national/international intensive dancer.

Elyse Larew runs a wonderful gem of a dance studio in Beaufort. She is professional (and patient with moms like me who might not have gotten it together right away lol) and everyone, like another reviewer stated, acts like a family - and a family that is welcoming to new members which is rare in Beaufort which I find to be a pretty closed off cliquish town in general. I only wish I had found TLC earlier. The quality of teaching and performance is high quality. I was pretty blown away by how good these kids are and how much they put into rehearsals and putting together top notch performances. If you are looking for a beauty pageant for your little girl, go elsewhere. This is a dance studio that takes itself seriously, has chops, and treats its students with the seriousness they deserve. A lot of places strive for community or give it lip service, this place delivers.

Can't say enough greatness about this studio and its staff/environment. They not only listen to the child and respect their goals, but also teach them to guide their peers as well. Every dancer plays an essential role at this studio which makes every student feel important and needed. After the first year of my child being on the conpany team here, she was able to make a higher level team in TX at an extremely competive studio when we moved. This studio ignited the fire in my child's soul to dance and be successful in the art. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for a nurturing and positive studio.
