I've gotten to know Andrew and the Greenville Ballet School during the past 18 months. He is unmatched in his professionalism and ability to coordinate so many good things under one roof. Highly recommended.

Greenville Ballet has a long history in Greenville and they are an OK ballet school if you want to focus on ballet. We were looking for a more well rounded studio in all areas of dance like jazz, hiphop, modern, tap, etc. They failed to meet our expectations of being this well rounded place we were in search of. The owners do not care about any forms of dance other than ballet and have turned it over to someone else to manage that side. This area is severely lacking because the director of the "Jazz" side isn't dedicated to the business, makes it an afterthought while doing work with community plays, and the dance numbers that are put together for competitions come in with poor results that lack imagination. We live in an era of "everyone gets a trophy" and they do have some trophys to show off but usually they were for the bottom 25% of the groups competing. Lots of "personality" problems there too. Just not a good setup. You can avoid the drama and put your child in a place to succeed with many of the other choices around town. We were also hit up for strange charges at times for things like costumes and registrations at competitions that were strongly marked up. My feedback from other parents I've since run into and trust is that this place (also referred to as Greenville Jazz ) is in the bottom of choices around town.

I am a dancer at the Greenville Ballet school now and have been for the past 9 years! There Nutcracker is a Great introduction with special guests every year to play the older roles like the sugarplum fairy! There costumes for the productions are Outstanding and made by the amazing Sherry! The Greenville Ballet school is highly recommend by me!

Love this studio! My daughter is a ballet student as well as a member of the competition team - Greenville Jazz. Very solid training in the fundamentals, as well as much individual attention given to each dancer. With the wide variety of dance classes and styles under one roof, there is something for every dancer at every level. Before coming to this studio three years ago, my daughter was a girl who took dance classes...now, she's a DANCER. We are very happy here. :)

I have had children at this school since 2005. We had both children in other dance schools to begin with but found that Greenville Ballet was the best option for both girls even though they have vastly different personalities, body types, natural ability and drive. I think that alone speaks volumes about the type of dance education that children receive at Greenville Ballet. Andrew and Merry are the directors and have been the only ballet instructors at Greenville ballet that my daughters have ever had. So they know my daughters' strengths and weaknesses very well and can help improve the weaknesses and showcase their strengths. They teach the individual child and work to help each dancer improve at whatever level they may be dancing. They see the value in dance education for every dancer, whether that child simply wants to become more coordinated or wants to dance with the Royal Ballet. They care for our children and want them to be healthy, strong confident individuals. They stress the importance of commitment, but they embrace the committed child whether the child is a gifted dancer or someone who just wants to better him or herself. For that, I will be forever thankful that we made the decision we made.
