My daughter went here for over a year and I decided to take her out after a particular incident. Before this, the teaching quality had been going down but she was having fun so I let it go. She went one day a week on Friday's for a 30 mintue class. The day of the incident her teacher had called out, we get there 10 minutes earlier and wait. The start time for the class had come and gone and we are still waiting when I am going to estimate an 11 year old student came out to tell me that the teacher had called out and she was going to teach her. My 3 year old was not OK with this so I packed her up to leave, as I am getting into my car the 11 year old came out to ask if I was coming back next week. I would like to point out that the owner was at the dance studio and I thought it was very inappropriate and UNPROFESSIONAL to send a middle school dance student to deal with a customer. I told this student that the owner could ask me herself. After this there was no email, no phone call, nothing. People get sick, I get that and if I would have gotten a call saying that there was no dance instructor available let's reschedule, are a refund for that day, please don't waste your time and money coming up here it would be one thing but I feel as if since my daughter only takes 1 class a week and she is 3, she is just not a priority to the owner. Maybe this is a better school for kids who do this multiple times a week just be wary if you only do one day. Update: After this review was posted the owner reached out to me to explain and attempt to make the situation right. She told me that my daughters usual teacher had called out 15 minutes prior and was headed to the hospital. She also assured me that the student mentioned earlier had taken it upon herself to assume the teaching role and to follow me out the door to my car, she was supposed to tell me that the owner would be with me in 5 minutes to teach my child. I do appreciate that she reached out to me and I would like to point out if you are considering this dance studio, that my daughter was here for around a year.

Great studio where kids truly seem to get more than just amazing dance instruction, Ms. Kate gives them life lessons as well. Talented and caring staff and a gorgeous studio. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been going to the Art of Dance studio for about 6 months now and looks forward to class each week- it's the highlight of her week for sure and she has made so many new friends! I am amazed at just how much she has learned in such a short time! Ms. Rachel is a wonderful teacher who not only teaches skills but allows these girls to have fun. It is such a relaxed environment, which is why we love coming here!

My daughter is 5 and has been going to Art of Dance Studio for 2 years and she loves all her teachers and the owner. She is having so much fun that she doesn’t even realize how much she is learning! I can see her technique improving all the time and how much time the teachers are putting into her without pressuring her to be perfect or making it no fun. I would definitely recommend checking out the studio for your little ones!

Almost 3 years have passed since our kids started taking dance lessons at the ART of DANCE Studio. We had originally signed our 2 girls up to keep them focused and busy...we never imagined the impact of the training they received then and over the course of the next several years. Natalie and Esme are so motivated, determined, and focused...all of which is fostered by the classes and instructors at the ART of Dance Studio. Not only are they able to recognize the value of ballet in all styles of dance, but they have developed a love of all the arts and can discuss aspects of technique and artistry in professional work. Their desire to learn and perfect various movements...of which they know the official names (they are still teaching us the terminology!) can be attributed to the professionally trained staff. Kate and all of the teachers take an active role in training students of all ages and abilities. Performances showcase all levels integrated...it is a delight to watch the progress our girls have made in such little time. This keeps younger and other performers encouraged and inspired by those with more experience. So much that my boys joined a year ago for hip hop and tap.My youngest son has already been in 2 competitions and did amazing.Staff members greet students and families with the utmost respect and enthusiasm. Students are expected to follow routines and guidelines, and they do so because of the professional example modeled by all in the studio. Whether it's ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop or summer workshops, we are confident that our kids are receiving the best training available. Perhaps they will pursue a career with dance, or maybe enjoy it as recreation, or recognize the value of such in others' work. Regardless, the ART OF DANCE STUDIO is helping to instill a sense of responsibility and love of the arts in our kids, and for that we are incredibly thankful. ~ Maria and Nicholas(parents)

My daughters have been going to Art of Dance for almost 2 yrs & they absolutely love it, as do I. Not only are they learning different styles of dance they are also learning life lessons in confidence and determination in a fun environment while making new friends. When they first started it was in a small studio with only Ms. Kate as teacher & owner with them learning ballet, tap, & jazz. When the new year started in August in a bigger studio (now an even bigger, nicer studio as of the end of April), the girls were excited that there were new styles of dance (hip hop, contemporary, modern & tumbling/acro) for them to learn. With the new studio & dance styles came new teachers that are great as well, specializing in the style of dance they teach. The pricing is great as well especially if you have more than one child wanting to dance. If your child (boy or girl) is interested in dance you should definitely come & try out Art of Dance.

Both my daughters have attended classes at Art of dance and have enjoyed their experience! The owner is very down to earth and will bend over backwards to accommodate you! She offers a variety of classes, intensives, and camps to keep kids involved! Prices are very reasonable too!

My daughter started dancing at this studio once a week and because we both loved it so much she begged me to sign her up for another class. The owner is understanding and amazing and not only wants her students (which she cares for like they’re her kids) to be happy but she also wants parents to be happy with their child’s dance experience. Every teacher my daughter has had has really cared for each child and has wanted every child to be the best they can be. The teachers are all extremely understanding, attentive and have an amazing passion for dance and teaching. I wouldn’t want my daughter to dance anywhere else! We love Art of Dance!!

Kate is absolutely the best! She is a natural working with children and I love watching how they respond to her teaching. Even in the group classes you feel as if your child is getting private one on one instruction. She teaches them not only technique but also artistry and to love moving and dancing. A bonus is her reasonable and affordable fees. Love Art of Dance and Kate!

Ms. Kate runs a really fun, really great studio and the kids love her, she does so well with everyone on a personal level . And I really love the old beautiful building, it has so much character, you can't help but feel relaxed and comfortable. It's inexpensive for classes, why go anywhere else?
