I am a Dad with three girls at this school. I appreciate the well crafted philosophy the school has based on structure, creativity, movement and most importantly FUN! My girls look forward to dance each week. They have developed a sense of confidence as they have progressed in the school's programs. Unlike other studio's were competition is stressed, I greatly appreciate the emphasis on performances and teamwork within the different cohorts of dancers.
As a parent, I can tell that the staff care about the kids. They support the kids and push them to be their best. I really like the sense of accountability and the age appropriate benchmarks the kids are held to. These are programming attributes that are missing in many youth programs.
Lastly, Ms. Carolyn is amazing. She keeps everyone involved in the studio through the the aforementioned balance of enthusiasm and structure. After 40 plus years, she is still able to inspire young dancers to keep pushing their limits. She and her staff work hard to set a good example for the kids in the programs. Ms. Carolyn emphasizes manners, confidence, creativity and accountability for all in the studio (even of the parents, lol). All of this is done with a strength-based positive youth development approach.
I find myself really impressed as I sit in the lobby waiting for my girls to finish class and see how many generations of dancers are so actively involved in the studio. You can truly see the supportive community the studio has developed. No "Dance Mom's" nonsense here...thank God.
I would encourage anyone to stop by one of the studios and check out a class
