After a year of attending this studio I’ve experienced the most unprofessional, non competitive, and hateful dance instruction I’ve ever come across. As a military child I have switched dance studios multiple times never having a problem, however, neither the instructors nor the dancers in this studio were friendly towards me or my family. Instructors were blatantly biased towards students who have attended the school longer as well as plainly incompetent when teaching more advanced dance classes. Would not recommend to any military child or really anyone at all.

Growing up in a military family, I went to several different dance studios. I am so happy that I was able to spend the longest time at Carlisle Dance as I danced all through high school here. The studio really became a second home for me thanks to the amazing staff and teachers who put their hearts into fostering dancers of all backgrounds. The environment is so encouraging and fun for anyone-- a beginner or an experienced dancer. This studio gave me the ability to be prepared in many situations moving on from high school. Thanks to the great training, I found a spot on the nationally ranked Dance Team at Catholic University! I am forever grateful for all that Carlisle Dance has done for me!

My daughter (3 years old) loves her dance instructors and is always excited for her dance class each week. It is a great activity that someone her age gets to be involved in and continue to grow with. The older classes and competition teams are amazing to watch and gives my daughter excellent role models to look up to. The studio and staff is very well organized and keeps you updated on all that is going on from dance activities to recitals. Will definitely be starting classes again in the fall!

My daughter has done dance for 3 years and we switched this summer to Carlisle Dance and she has matured and learned more in 3 weeks than she did in 3 years at the old studio! The instructors and owner is fantastic and really welcoming and I love that they are strict but not overly strict. The best part is that they are teaching the girls to appreciate their body and not be ashamed. There is not any body shaming at this studio! My daughter”s confidence level has soared to a new level. Thanks Kristin and team. Can’t wait to see what the fall brings! My daughter was going through some stuff and Kristen really helped us out and with her kindness my daughter has started dance again. This studio is the best.

I graduated from Carlisle Dance last year and I've had some of the best memories there and I've made friends to last a life time. The staff is so friendly and they make it such a comfortable environment. I came in with a year of dance experience and left with 4 years and an acceptance letter to a dance program in NYC! No body shaming, no harsh words. They push you to where they know you can be and for that- I'm grateful! Definitely the best studio for anyone!

BEWARE of this dance studio. The studio itself is fine structurally, however, the owner is not. She is money hungry, they charge for trial classes, and aren't as welcoming and organized as they should be. If you have any experience with a GREAT studio, stay away from here. Don't be afraid to drive 15 additional minutes to other great studios outside of Harrisburg for a better experience. The dress code is in place to make more money for the studio, as the dancers wear the same clothing that you purchase at the studio, however, they aren't required to have hair pulled back professionally etc. On top of this the communication is poor among the staff, and they are less than accommodating. STAY AWAY.

My daughter started going here recently and at her first class she was very shy and nervous, the the end of the 45 min class she was already clinging to her dance teacher and not wanting to leave. She loves the environment and counts the days till her next class!

The owner is truly dedicated to the work, and she strives to maintain a wonderful and healthy environment for students, parents, and staff. Horrible. A non-competitive mess. This would be a great dance studio for kids who only care about having "fun". It's one of those places where everyone gets a participation trophy. No competition to push your child to be the best. Instructors act like the best, but are far from it. I've seen kids 10 years younger dance better than some of the instructors.
