REVIEWS OF The Viscount Dance Studio IN Oregon

I love this place! If you're looking for a fun class to do, try this dance studio. The best class is the hip hop class lead by Selena. But all their classes are great. They take their time to show you the moves and work with you to learn them The smaller classes are better for that one on one action, so if you're a slow learner, the salsa classes get pretty large.

Sarah is the best latin dance teacher I've had in my 20 years of dancing. Her combination of remarkable dance skills, teaching ability and musicality make it easy to learn whatever the next level is for you.

Fun experience!

Two and a half years ago I made a decision to learn how to dance to the music I resonated with from the 20's, 30's and 40's. As I searched the internet looking for lessons the Viscount Studio amongst all dance studios jumped off the screen. Pictures of the studio, teachers, people dancing with smiles on their faces, before I knew it I signed up for my first lesson and I haven't stopped since. I was grateful that partners were not required or I would still be sitting at home. The owner and all the teachers are so friendly and welcoming along with being great instructors of their trade. The studio also offers workshops for a 'quick learn' or an opportunity to test the waters of another dance style without committing to a month long class. Oh there are socials! The socials are fun, low cost and a great place to practice what you have learned outside the class, with friendly feedback or help you wouldn't get dancing out socially. The truth of the matter is I could never say enough about this place-can you tell I'm hooked? Come dance with me.....

Decent and fun!

You can't ask for anything better for Salsa. Just walk by the window and you will see a room filled with smiles and laughter. Sarah gives not only great direction but feedback as well, something often missing in group classes. So bring in both of your left feet and prepare to have fun.

We’ve been learning how to dance since May and Sarah has made this experience really great. We learn something new at every lesson and have so much fun. The space is perfect and with Sarah as our teacher we’ve learned so much that we’ll actually know what we’re doing on the dance floor at our son’s wedding :)!!

It's rare to have a dance teacher who is simultaneously fun to learn from, loves to dance, and is a truly excellent teacher. Sarah is all of that and more. I've danced for over a decade and she's the finest teacher I've yet had. She has deep knowledge, has mastered multiple dance styles, and she's especially good at making dance easy for the beginner. She took me from ignorant to dancing a passable intermediate salsa in 3 hours. I highly and enthusiastically recommend her.

Small space but great for social dance lessons. Despite being called a Ballroom this guys are more focused on the social dance style rather than ballroom dance competitive form. I was a little surprised how small the floor was for how many people in the class. Maybe 20 people or 10 couples could have squeezed in, but we had 30 people and it was quite tight quarters. The instructors are awesome though and clearly love what they do. Great pricing compared to many other studios, so I recommend this place often.

Great dance studio.

I’ve been taking classes at the Viscount since Jan 2012 and have taken Argentine Tango, Salsa and Swing (Lindy Hop and West Coast) series/classes. All of the instructors offer a warm, welcoming environment and the studio space is great. They offer a wide variety of levels for each type and no experience is required for beginning classes and partners aren’t required either. I took classes here on a whim and now recommended it to all of my friends or family that are interested in learning how to dance. If you’re looking friendly and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place. Dance on!
