REVIEWS OF Gasper's School of Dance & Performing Arts IN North Dakota

The rigor at Gasper's is what we were looking for. We have a four year old daughter who is a good listener and after trying out other studios we found that they focus less on skills and more on behavior control while teaching some basic movements. We wanted more for our child who can listen and follow a teacher for a full hour and not disrupt the instructor when working with the other children in the class. How the instructors at Gasper's handle young ones is what we were looking for. The combination of more complicated ballet combinations, full use of an hour of instruction, and the high energy exuding from the teachers will keep us coming back

I started taking ballet classes as an adult at Gaspers about a year and a half ago and I can't say enough great things about it! I wish I would've gone sooner in life! The adult classes are for all levels of dance from beginner to advanced, everyone has a place here. I instantly felt like I belonged when I started at gaspers from the moment I stepped foot in the door my first day. Gaspers is a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The instructors have extensive dance backgrounds and a wealth of knowledge to pass to dancers of all ages. It's truly a pleasure learning from them! Also, G Fitness is back and I have had the pleasure of taking the barre class and it was awesome!! Their new South location is beautiful too! So, real talk, If you're wanting to put your kiddos in a dance class or getting yourself into an adult class, or looking for some dance inspired fitness classes, you can stop looking. You found your new home. Trust me. Gaspers is where you want to be! ♡

My daughter has learned so much in the past four years of ballet. Taught by incredibly professional, talented and passionate instructors.

I would say that when my daughter started dancing with Gaspers, she was a little less than graceful. I have seen her improve so much over the past four years that I have been very impressed with the quality of training she's received at Gaspers. Dance is a powerful tool with which to learn confidence, grace, and poise which will help in all areas of life. I would highly recommend.

I have three children attending Gasper's. The kids are two boys and one girl ranging in age from 6 to 14. They take a mix of classes including tap, jazz and ballet. My kids love it! Our family has been with the school for 2 years and I see many more years to come. The instructors are extremely talented and knowledgeable in the type of dance they are instructing, yet very motivating and encouraging to my children. The school pushes the kids in a good way to make their dance the best it can be and to continually improve themselves. I am also impressed with the other students at Gasper's. They are respectful of their instructors and their fellow students. They encourage each other and become good friends. I think dance is a wonderful life long activity/sport and I feel we are extremely fortunate to have a school like Gasper's here in Fargo-Moorhead. Check it out, you will love it!

They are great and my daughter loves going! She looks forward to going to class and likes all her instructors. It's a friendly environment and I feel her skills are developing far better then they did at her previous dance studios. The importance is put on technique and doing it right which is important to us. My daughter is always saying she is learning real dance! I would say they are the best dance studio in town!!

They are very professional and so good to their dancers. My daughter can only be in one class and yet she feels very much part of the studio. Chantel, Mrs. Gasper and Mr. Matt have been so good to her.

Fargo is so incredibly lucky to have a studio of GSDPA's caliber. Our daughter tried a few local dance organizations before we heard about GSDPA, but none of them match the full experience she enjoys at Gasper's. The instructors are professional, experienced, and patient, and they provide the perfect mix of instruction, discipline, and fun. Gasper's really encourages a family atmosphere; the students and teachers all support and encourage each other, and our daughter feels like a member of a team. Simply put, GSDPA is the best!

Alexis Bryant

The team at Gaspers is by far the best in the area. They have immense passion for the arts, incredible teaching abilities and a true love for helping dancers in this community grow.

Lora Evans

The school has teachers have professional backgrounds and many high-achieving students, yet the culture is very positive and supportive among the staff, students and parents.

All I can say is Wonderful everything!

The teachers here are the best! There is a lot of experience between all of them and I think Fargo is lucky to have that. My daughter Grace absolutely loves going to Gasper's. I like that they have so many different skill levels in a wide variety of classes. This is the only dance studio you should go to in Fargo.

My friend Reagan goes here and she really enjoys it and I enjoy seeing her happy :)

Troian Jennings

Great discipline and they have great expectations of their students. The technique they use to teach is absolutely wonderful. The teachers are professional, but still approachable and always friendly.

I signed my 3 1/2 year old daughter up for the "Itty bitty" class for 3-4 year olds on Saturday mornings. I would say she is a pretty average three year old, having been in several different types of classes (swimming, gymnastics, etc.) and daycare where she has to independently interact with an instructor and follow directions and always does well. The first class was pretty slow paced, but went fine for a three year-olds' first attempt. When we showed up for our second class, we were told that my daughter was not welcome in the class, that the instructor felt she was not a fit as she was so developmentally behind the other girls in the class. Not only was I a bit shocked that after a single session that I had thought went fine we were being "kicked out" but on top of that, the studio didn't even have the professionalism to give us a phone call in the week between classes to inform me that they didn't want us to come back, and instead until we were walking into class to tell us we weren't welcome. Just to add additional insult, they then proceeded to tell us they wouldn't refund the $20 registration fee despite the fact they chose to not to allow my daughter in class. Quite frankly, the lack of professionalism alone would cause me to not recommend this studio independent of the fact that I have some other not-so-nice thoughts about the abilities of the individuals that I interacted with that I will keep to myself.

I'd like to bring my grandchildren to see the Nutcracker, but I feel the "ticket processing fee" is a rip-off. How can you justify the ticket price and then a processing fee on top of that?

My daughter does many classes at Gaspers.I have been reading the reviews and people are saying that they are too strict,I think that they aren't too strict but strict is good if you want your child to learn to dance.my daughter went to many other studios and when it was time for the recital the kids just ran on on stage and their was no dancing, as my daughter got older she realized that if she wanted to be an amazing dancer she needed to be pushed,so we talked and now we're here at Gaspers and for the first time my daughter is really learning something and getting sore after dance!

Tina Alm

I would say that there is absolutely not another studio in the area with such amazing education and opportunities for dancers of all ages. Our daughter started dancing at the age of 3, she is now almost 8. Gaspers is the third studio that she has studied at and we will not ever take her anywhere else. The theory and technical skills that she has learned in one short year have with out a doubt blown my mind! I have recommended Gaspers school of dance to many friends and will continue to recommend it...always

Ariel Wethern

If you're looking for education not only as a dancer, but as an overall person, this is definitely the place. Such an incredible range of classes; ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern, and all with adult levels! Wouldn't be happy anywhere else; being apart of Gasper's is really being apart of a family.

Jimmy Treekicker

Son has been going here for years for various styles of dance lessons. Great learning environment, wonderful teachers and staff, and reasonably priced. Everyone knows my son and I by name and it has a family feel to it. I know the skills he is learning here (aside from purely dance moves) will serve him for the rest of his life. I would and do recommend Gaspers to anyone looking for a place to take dance lessons, both young and old.

Tina Palumbo

Great instructors, small classes, wonderful mentoring. My kids love it there.
