The Fred Astaire Studio--no matter how I feel when I go in, whether I have some physical pain, or I'm mad or sad, I feel BETTER by the time I leave! The instructors are patient, talented, physically strong, and careful professionals, who are also exceptionally nice, caring people! And it's infectious! All of the students are friendly and nice, too. Personally, I lost about 40# in the first 6 months of lessons--without even trying (and I've lost another 20# since then). Honestly, I LOOK and FEEL better than I did 10-15 years ago! AND I've made new friendships which will last a lifetime. Oh, and did I tell you that it's FUN--the lessons are fun, the practice parties are fun (and sometimes they are costume parties which is even MORE fun!). Altogether, my lessons in ballroom dance at the Fred Astaire Studio have contributed to my health and well-being and to my attitude-- I'm a happier person now.

Great experience learning a new skill! Although I took only the very intro class (3 private lessons + 1 group lesson) for 25 since I went to a friend's night event, I now know what's ballroom dancing is all about and can do several types of basic dance steps. The group exercise class I had was pretty awesome too. The environment is professional, and instructors are quite patient like other reviews say. I would have taken more lessons to be able to dance beyond basic steps if I were in this area longer. It's a pretty nice place overall.

What a professional yet fun place to learn to dance! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and there are lots of opportunities to learn and practice. My family has loved taking lessons here & we have a blast!

I have been so impressed with the level of professionalism from everyone at Fred Astaire. Our instructor, Gregory, is phenomenal. Although my fiancee and I are beginners, he has been able to show us so much in just a few lessons. We are looking forward to the rest of lessons as we prepare for our first dance at our wedding!

The dance instructor team is quite dynamic, filled with energy and enthusiasm and does a phenomenal job of teaching all levels of students. And if you are a couple that is looking at doing more with your life then just sitting on a couch or going to a movie, then I would highly recommend this Fred Astaire Dance Studio. With that being said, if you are interested in attending by yourself, that also works. They can teach couples or individual students. Kathy, and I did both !!! They also have dance practice parties each week and if you are looking at taking it up a notch, you can even compete on a national level. My wife (fiancé at the time) and I decided to try Fred Astaire with a Groupon assuming that after a couple classes we’d learn enough to cover our first dance and be done with it. Three years, and several showcases later we realized we were addicted. The Greensboro team felt like family and the skills we learned built confidence both on the dance floor and off. Considering learning to dance? Do it! No partner necessary. This studio is a friendly, welcoming place. My husband & I walked in with absolutely no dance experience. Several years later we enjoy dancing several times a week. We enjoy the private & group lessons, the parties, the showcases & even the occasional competition. Come dance, you won’t regret it!

The instructors and Ball Room Dance lessons at Fred Astaire Love To Dance Studio in Greensboro have changed my life. I have always loved the arts, but never had formal training in Ball Room Dance. When I am dancing with the wonderful, gifted, artist- teachers at LTC studio, the annoying pain of osteoarthritis completely disappears. Honestly, it is addictive! It makes one feel as if she/he is floating around the floor. The experience has been good for body, mind and soul. In addition to being artist-teachers, the instructors are always congenial, happy, encouraging and validating of all our efforts on the dance floor. They make me feel like a million dollars! Each of the instructors always comes to greet every student the moment they arrive at the studio. It isn't just about dance; it is about connecting with their students. The owners of the franchise are constantly working to find creative ways to entertain, teach, encourage and entice all of us to be the BEST DANCER we can be.
